CHAPTER 42: ESCAPE VAELORA IF YOU CAN

"What the fuck are you doing Azure?" Yami snapped pointing at her.

Zuko was left mouth open, "If you do this, you’ll end up being a disgrace to our family and father would definitely—"

"So be it!" Azure, the water clan princess, cut him off speech as she descended in front of Jayden.

She side-glanced at Jayden and whispered, "Take the ugly weakling and get outta here,"

Jayden took a step back on seeing the cold gaze she shot at him; it was the same kind of glare Zoe usually pulls off whenever they’re alone.

SSS-RANKED Draco raised his head, then said shakily, "I knew love would drag you here."

Azure flashed to SSS-RANKED Draco’s side, but to Jayden, it was more like she teleported.

She kneelt beside him, smiling, just before she stabbed his shoulder with a spike of ice, "Shut up, lover boy."

SSS-RANKED Draco grinned in pain, yet amidst that, he muttered with a smile, "So nice... don’t stop my love, do it again and again, I promise I’ll endure."

Azure hissed, clearly frustrated by his persistence. She sent a kick to his ribs, then went ahead of Jayden.

Jayden was completely shocked by the chemistry between the two dragons; she acted like she hadn’t yet accepted that she had feelings for him, just like Zoe normally does.

But this babe was triple the intensity of badass Zoe.

Azure turned to Jayden again with vigour in both her gaze and her tone, "If he dies, ensure you die first, so you better protect him with your balls or I’ll rip them off."

Jayden stumbled backwards, almost falling to the ground.

’The fuck is with these dragons and balls?’ Both he and Draco rasped in thought.

Jayden lifted SSS-RANKED Draco to his shoulder and began flying in the opposite direction.

SSS-RANKED Draco waved Azure with a smile, "Try not to go too hard on your brothers, I’m gonna be fine pumpkin!"

Azure scoffed.

"Where do you think you’re going?" Yami and Zuko roared as that charged for Jayden.

Azure closed her fist, trapping them in vortexes of water.

As the eldest of the water clan royal descendants, she literally taught Yami and Zuko their every move, so this isn’t gonna be much of a tough task to handle.

As expected, her younger brothers transformed into their dragon form to break out of the water vortex.

They became long-bodied, with sea blue dragon scales, four short limbs and wings, large enough to carry their ginormous bodies.

They roared, ice crawling up their horns as they charged right past Azure.

Jayden looked back with clenched teeth, boosting himself faster with fireballs underneath his legs while still absorbing the mana, as without growing stronger, who knows if he could survive escaping Vaelora, let alone, living an extra year with a whole world of dragons on his ass.

Every second here was worth the time as long as he kept alive.

He twisted past three ice balls, shot at him.

Jayden turned back to see both dragons right behind him, snapping their maw in attempts to catch him.

His heart beat raced, sweat crawling down his skin, then he turned the fireball in his leg into compressed wind and shot at Yami and Zuko’s faces while simultaneously pushing himself forward.

Yami and Zuko crashed into the ground but kept on coming with growing fury.

"Em... Mrs Beautiful Water Clan Princess," Jayden shouted, "Mind if I get some help?"

Azure caught up behind her brothers, gripping them by their tails and smashing them like drumsticks to the ground, yet Yami and Zuko’s focus never shifted from Jayden, and they kept on blasting ice balls at him with their maws.

Jayden dodged too swiftly for his first time flying, but that was thanks to his imperfect Zone State. Draco was doing most of the flight control, while Jayden controlled the defence and navigation.

"Kid, the way out is straight up." SSS-RANKED Draco said gently.

"Huh? You’re still conscious?" Jayden said, baffled, while immediately heading straight up for the sky.

"I wouldn’t get knocked out so easily dummy!"

Yami and Zuko ventured into the sky while Azure tried hard to restrain them, but it only became harder since she had nothing to hold on to.

In the end, she was pulled along their charged and eventually they wiggled their tails until she fell off.

Jayden turned to see his brotherly nemesis catching up. He clenched his teeth, looking ahead.

"Where the fuck is the way out?"

SSS-RANKED Draco outstretched his arm and launched fireballs at Yami and Zuko, but his firepower did little or nothing to stop them.

Jayden put every ounce of strength he had into his wings, feeling the ice-cold aura of the water dragons just below his feet.

He surged through the clouds the moment blue reflection of light was about to engulf him.

It felt like he swapped dimensions in an instant, and apart from the distant moon he could now see, he began feeling lightheaded from leaving a pure mana zone to earth, which had mana impurities.

That same kinda feeling when you walk out of an air-conditioned room.

Most significantly, there weren’t any beasts the size of a skyscraper chasing behind him.

Those two couldn’t follow him since the emperor didn’t grant them such permission.

He took a deep breath, but still, it wasn’t time to rest; his elder brother was losing his mana.

Jayden flew down from the sky but where should he go?

The hospital was off that chart since Draco would without options, become their next test subject.

He thought about going to grandma, but naaa, can’t disturb the old woman’s sleep twice in a month.

"Guess I’m on my own in this one", he whispered, landing at his room door at GTA.

Jayden rushed in to see his roommates sitting in different corners of the room.

Ryan immediately sprang up, rushing at Jayden, "bro, where did you go for two whole damn weeks?"

Jayden raised an eyebrow, ’Two weeks? Is the timeline in Vaelora and Earth not same?’

"What the hell happened to Big Bro Draco?" Tyler, winced with his mouth wide open.

Because how could the all-powerful elderly dragon he knew be suffering such brutal damage?

Jayden placed SSS-RANKED Draco to the ground.

"We’ll talk about that later, but now we gotta get someone who can help, maybe I’ll ask the school Managing Director, it’s our only choice."

Tyler stepped forward, "No don’t, I’ll help."
