Even though Liang Yuexin had already been cultivating for some time using the technique given to her by Zhu Rong, she still couldn’t help but be amazed by its speed and potential.

She knew it was a Heaven grade technique, and although she had never practiced any before this one, she could only imagine its true power from the stories of those who were said to possess such techniques.

That being said, the more she used it, the more she felt she had only scratched the surface of it, and the more this realization struck her, the more astonished she became.

To everyone else, she was still in the early stages of the fourth stage, something much more reasonable considering her initial cultivation talent.

She stood up, satisfied with her achievement, ready to go clean herself up, when she spotted her maid approaching from afar with a worried look on her face.

She had known her maid for many years now, and she was one of the very few people she could truly say she trusted.

She knew her well, and if she had that kind of expression, nothing good was coming, and indeed, her suspicions were confirmed.

"An urgent summons? Do you know what it’s about?" she asked, reading the letter addressed to her from her family, essentially calling her back.

Normally, her family wouldn’t suddenly summon members out of nowhere, especially if there was no important event scheduled.

So if such a letter had been sent, it meant something was wrong, and the situation could be serious.

Hearing the question, the maid shook her head.

"I don’t know, I only know that all members who are away have been called back, no exceptions. And it seems they’re not the only ones , a few other families are doing the same," she said.

Liang Yuexin grew thoughtful, and for a moment, she wondered if this had anything to do with that powerful presence that had appeared out of nowhere yesterday.

Being at the fourth stage, she had barely been able to sense the chaotic fluctuations that spread across the territory.

She wasn’t sure what it was, but she felt that the headmaster himself had personally gone to investigate.

Needless to say, it was something significant if even an expert of that level had to step forward.

She still didn’t know exactly what had happened, but looking at the letter in her hand, she thought she might soon find out.

Just as the maid had said, many other important members from various prestigious families had been called back, and only a few had not received an invitation. As it happened, one of those few was Zhu Rong.

He only found out about this the next day through some student chatter.

’Hmm? even that bastard got called back? What’s going on?’ he thought upon hearing that among the summoned was also his cousin, who was one year ahead of him.

He couldn’t remember anything like this ever happening before, but even so, he could make a guess.

’Most likely they also sensed that creature’s presence, and with their connections, it wouldn’t have been hard to get information about its appearance. But why would that alert those families enough to summon their members?

He thought about it, not really caring about the fact that the people that received the letter were mainly important family members.

He had long since stopped caring about his familys matters, to him, they were mostly strangers whose lives or deaths meant nothing to him.

He had treated them like strangers for centuries, and that hadn’t truly changed in this life either.

Aside from a few members with whom he still had good relations, the rest were no different from outsiders to him.

That said, he was growing more curious about what was going on, and seeing as he hadn’t been invited, he decided to use another method to find out more.

He was now standing in front of a three story building, refined but not overly so.

Even so, it was clearly a well known place, as many people kept coming and going.

He didn’t waste any time and stepped inside, arriving at a small hall that wasn’t too big but had several reception counters for customers.

He looked them over for a bit before moving to the one farthest to the right, which also happened to have the fewest customers.

There were only three people in line compared to nearly a dozen at the others.

It might seem that this counter was less popular, but it wasn’t because the service here was bad, quite the opposite.

It was precisely because of the type of service offered here that only certain kinds of customers came instead of going to the other reception points.

He waited for about ten minutes, during which the line slowly cleared until it was just him.
