In one of the large suites at the hotel Dorian was resident of, three people sat in the spacious living room.

The first was Lucy, a woman with bright red lipstick and tattoos covering her neck and arms. She sat on one of the cushions with her legs crossed, looking comfortable and relaxed.

Standing behind her was the man known as Grimmface. He had pale skin and dull, lifeless eyes, with short-cut hair and a cigarette hanging from his mouth. His expression was as cold and emotionless as always.

In one corner sat X, whose gender was hard to determine, though most people would guess she was a woman.

X wore a black top hat with a white skull design on it, and her pale skin made her look even more unsettling than Grimmface.

Then Dorian walked into the room with a big grin on his face, stretching both arms out to his sides as he moved to the center of the room. "Welcome, welcome, my friends! It's been way too long," he said happily. "And thank you for coming on the shortest notice ever." he added

Lucy smiled and said, "You crazy bastard…" but it came from a place of genuine admiration for what he had accomplished.

"How did you actually pull this off? When I first heard you were back, I didn't think it was true" X said, clearly curious about how Dorian had managed to return so successfully.

Dorian kept smiling and replied, "That, my friend, is a story I'll tell you someday. But right now, I want to officially welcome you all back."

He snapped his fingers at a man in a suit who had followed him into the room and was standing quietly in the corner.

The suited man immediately carried over a tray with glasses of wine and walked around the room so each person could take a glass.

Once everyone had their wine, Dorian said to the suited man, "Leave us." The man nodded and left the room as ordered.

Dorian then raised his glass and began speaking. "I'm raising this glass to our fallen friends and to our return, three years later."

They all raised their glasses as well, and Dorian drank his wine. The others followed his lead, and even Grimmface took the cigarette out of his mouth to take a sip.

"Now I'll introduce our newest member," Dorian said, gesturing with his right hand while shifting his body slightly to the left, as if making room for someone to appear.

At that moment, Kiyomi's form materialized completely. She towered above them all, standing nearly seven feet tall. Everyone had shocked expressions on their faces, even Grimmface, who barely showed emotion about anything, seemed startled.

It was a normal reaction since they were looking at a mythical creature.

"I understand the stares. I know, I know—she's a beauty," Dorian said as he seductively pulled Kiyomi's face toward him. Their mouths met in a slow kiss before their heads separated, their eyes still locked together.

Lucy went from shock to bending her head with an amused smile. "That is one thing I never expected to see. And since we're sharing news…" she said.

At this point, she raised her hand slightly toward Grimmface, who placed his own hand on hers in a gentle, caring gesture.

X turned quickly to look at them, as if this news shocked her more than seeing Dorian kiss a mythical creature. "You two? No way!" she said in disbelief.

Dorian looked at Lucy and smiled, asking, "So what's the story here?" while gesturing between both of them.

Lucy rubbed her stomach gently and said, "We're expecting a child."

Dorian started with a chuckle that grew into full, hearty laughter—not mocking laughter, but genuine joy. This news was something he never would have imagined in his wildest dreams. "So I'm going to be a godfather soon?" he asked.

Lucy smiled and made a playful face while saying, "We wouldn't have it any other way."

That's when X interrupted and said, "Ugh, you guys are disgusting." She rolled her eyes, then said in a much quieter and sadder tone, "Now I wish she was here."

The room became somber for a moment because everyone understood who X was talking about. She meant Maggie, a former member of Grinning Dead who had died in the battle three years ago.

Then Dorian continued, "I know there's only one thing on your minds right now, revenge. And guess what? That's exactly what we're going to get."

The atmosphere in the room immediately lightened up again at the mention of revenge.

A devious grin spread across Dorian's lips as he added, "We'll be returning the favor from three years ago."

….

"Alright," Grey said as he hung up his phone. He had just finished his conversation with Lucien about the current crisis. He had also told Lucien about their plans to eliminate Dorian within the next three days.

Then he turned back toward Kent, who was waiting expectantly to hear how the call had gone. "He said he'll be sending Ramya from headquarters and will also get a second person to work with her as soon as possible," Grey explained.

Kent nodded. He knew Ramya well and understood what solid help she would be when the time came to face Dorian.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Grey called out, "Come in."

The door opened, and Quinn Monroe walked through. "You called me in, Director," she said.

Earlier that morning, Grey had sent Quinn a text asking her to come in today. "Yes, please take a seat," Grey said.

Quinn pulled a chair from in front of his desk, turned it around, and sat down in it casually. "Hello, Kent," she said, greeting her colleague.

Kent nodded back and said, "Hello."

"To get straight to the point, for the next few days I need you to take Liam out of the state on a mission," Grey began.

He went on to explain everything that had happened with Dorian the night before, how Dorian knew all their secrets now and the threats he had made against the organization and everyone involved.

After hearing the full story, Quinn replied, "Shit! This is really bad. That explains why he made that bold announcement on the news today."

"Exactly. And with everything at stake, getting Liam out of here until we can deal with Dorian is our top priority," Grey said. Then he added, "Let him join Team A's mission in Wisconsin."

Quinn nodded but then asked, "But sir, I think my abilities would be needed here against Dorian in the coming days. Why do I have to go with him?"

"Because if Liam sees that he has to go with you, he'll think it's a really important mission. Plus, more importantly, while he's away, I need him closely watched. I don't know what Dorian is planning, but I need to make sure he doesn't get in contact with Liam," Grey explained.

Quinn simply nodded, understanding that this precaution was necessary as well.

"I'll take care of it, sir," Quinn said before standing up. Then she asked, "When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow morning," Grey replied. Quinn nodded and left the office.

"Good call there, sir," Kent said, referring to the decision to send Liam away from the city.

Grey let out a heavy sigh. "I've never been under this much pressure before." He picked up his phone and typed for a few seconds before hitting send.

Liam had just started reading "The Hobbit" when he got a text notification from the Director asking him to come to his office right away.

He stood up from where he was sitting and headed to answer the Director's call.

When he walked into the Director's office, Grey got straight to the point. "Liam, you're going to join Team A on a mission tomorrow. You'll be going with Quinn. It's in Wisconsin."

"Um…" Liam made a surprised face and said, "Isn't my presence going to be needed here, especially with the whole Dorian situation?"

Grey's heart sank a little. "You know what's happening with Dorian?"

"Huh? It's all everyone's been talking about today. Isn't he coming back to the city? He was on the news," Liam replied.

"Oh… yeah," Grey said, trying to sound casual. Then he added, "Don't worry about that. We're currently handling it. This mission is more important. Team A will need all the help they can get on this."

"Alright, what are the details of the mission?" Liam asked.

"Quinn will brief you on all of that tomorrow," Grey replied.

"Okay," Liam said, then turned to leave the office.

After Liam left, Grey leaned back in his chair and let out one big sigh. On any normal day, Liam's help in dealing with the Dorian situation would have been exactly what they needed most.

Honestly, Grey couldn't deny that he really wanted Liam's power on their side right now. But it was too great a risk to allow Liam anywhere near this situation.
