Limitless Evolution System: Reincarnation of the Strongest Slayer God
Chapter 92: Further Introductions
CHAPTER 92: FURTHER INTRODUCTIONS
Grey immediately shot to his feet, his face shocked as he watched Liam fall helplessly to his knees, struggling with disorientation and trying to regain his footing.
Kent was speechless, his eyes wide at seeing Liam, as powerful as he was, instantly incapacitated.
However, Liam started standing up slowly.
[Skill Active → Regeneration Lv2]
His regeneration skill was rebuilding the minor damage the information overload had done to his brain. The inconceivable disorientation gradually became a minor headache, then faded away completely.
Brian narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking to himself— I know I’m nowhere near a fraction of my true power, but he shouldn’t have recovered from that this fast.
When Liam lifted his head to meet Brian’s eyes, Brian’s face immediately shifted back to a regular smile. "I’m sorry, I probably went too far," he said, sounding genuinely remorseful.
"It’s fine," Liam said with a nod. "I asked you to hit me with all you got."
Grey returned to his seat, looked at Brian again, and said, "That ability is one of the most dangerous I’ve ever seen." His voice carried a mix of concern and intrigue. "You could be a true asset."
"I’m glad you’re impressed, sir," Brian replied, then turned toward Liam. "Once again, I’m sorry if I went too far."
Liam simply nodded. "I’m totally fine now."
Kent, somehow still awe-struck, said, "I never expected that."
Brian said nothing except to nod, and Grey concluded, "Alright guys, that’s all. Brian, you’re with Liam now."
Brian nodded, and Grey turned toward Liam, who now wore an expressionless face, and said to him, "Just like Elaine did for you your first time here, show Brian around."
Liam sighed and started moving toward the door, motioning for Brian to follow him. As soon as they closed the doors behind them, Kent immediately went over to Grey’s desk. "I know, Kent," Grey said before he could speak. "Seems we may have hit the jackpot with this one."
Kent nodded. "If we can get him on our side, sir. But still, an ability like that is very dangerous..." His concern was evident.
"Yeah, we might have to develop countermeasures too," Grey replied thoughtfully. "You know, just in case."
Kent understood and simply nodded before proceeding to leave the office.
...
Liam and Brian had left the office, with Brian following quietly behind until they reached the lobby area. Liam sighed and turned to face him. "I’ll show you the truly important places," Liam said. "Most of the other sections of this facility are places you’d probably never need to remember."
"I am in your care, Mr. Liam," Brian replied.
"Alright, come with me. Let’s start," Liam said. They walked together slowly, with Liam’s first stop being the Field Agents’ room.
"Usually, field agents come in here to get changed, for those who don’t like to wear gear from home," Liam explained.
It was a wide space with different pairs of couches clustered at various corners, ensuring each group had a place to sit without competing for shared space with another team.
Within the room were two additional compartments with closed doors, each marked with male and female signs above the doorposts to indicate which gender could enter. Liam pointed to them. "Those are the changing rooms."
The overall space featured multiple mission boards spanning the walls and contained an internal locker area stocked with basic combat gear, tactical robes, enchanted ammunition, and other associated items agents typically worked with.
"With a room this big, I wonder why there’s even a general briefing hall," Liam said, shaking his head with a sigh.
Brian nodded. "Typical government agencies with their extravagance, right?"
Liam turned and gave Brian a weird look, uncertain whether that was supposed to be a joke or not, and frankly, it was hard for him to tell most of the time. However, he offered a simple "Yeah," then added, "Alright, come with me."
As they walked toward the corridor leading to the training wing, Brian decided to ask, "You spoke about Team C—where are they?"
"Oh, they’re probably dealing with a breach at the moment," Liam replied. "They’ll get back when they’re done."
Brian offered no response except a casual "Hm..." and continued following behind Liam.
Soon after, they arrived at the wing, and Liam pointed at five training rooms positioned side by side. "So each of these rooms is a training facility," Liam explained. "In them, you can face combat scenarios that simulate real-life situations. It works better if you do it as a team."
"Noted," Brian said, then followed behind Liam, who had started walking back toward the corridors again. One by one, Liam took him to different points throughout the facility: the cafeteria, Mr. T’s weapons lab, the medical wing.
Eventually, they stopped back in the lobby, and while they conversed, that obvious and distinct voice was instantly heard by Liam, who stopped talking mid-sentence. "Yup, that’s Sarah from Team C," he said, turning his head toward the entrance.
Brian turned as well toward the entrance. Sarah immediately caught sight of Liam and the person beside him, then delivered her signature greeting: "Hello, Hotshot!" accompanied by an enthusiastic wave. This prompted the rest of Team C to look in their general direction.
She stepped closer with the rest of the team beside her and started with a much-expected Sarah opening: "Oh, hello there, fine white boy," she said with that look on her face.
Silas immediately shook his head—that was practically typical of Sarah.
Elaine said hi to Liam with a slight wave, which he returned with a casual "Hey" and another wave.
Then Amir chimed in, "Who’s the new guy, Liam?"
"Helloooo," Brian said with a grin, stepping forward as he held out his hand and shook each of theirs one by one.
They were initially taken aback by the easygoing fellow that they didn’t even speak at first, not even Sarah. Liam was taken aback a bit too. He knew from their few minutes together that Brian was well-mannered, at least, but this level of enthusiasm was new.
"Sorry, my name is Brian. I’m a new agent here," he said, maintaining that gleeful expression on his face.
Sarah immediately perked up. "Ooouu, I like him," she said, then quickly asked, "What tier?"
"S-Tier," Brian replied. They all looked surprised, their expressions shifting except for Liam, who already knew.
Sarah immediately declared, "Alright guys, it’s time we go meet the director to swap Silas out for Brian."
"Oh, come onnnnn," Silas said with an exasperated sigh as the others tried to hold back their chuckles.
Sarah added with a grin, "I’m sorry man, Brian talks, at least."
This time they all fell into proper fits of laughter, except for Silas, who wore a slight frown on his face for getting teased as usual by Sarah.
