Just one glance made Tao Qian's brows furrow tightly, sensing trouble.

This city was the most renowned Buddha City in Taoyuan Country, very close to Tang Country, often having incarnations of Arhats and Bodhisattvas descend, showing saintly appearances in temples, therefore, the spiritual lineages here were numerous, and the believers devout, almost every household had a [God Demon Spirit Cultivation] presence, and naturally, the faith followed was all Spiritual Mountain Buddhas, rather than any Wild Gods and Immoral Sacrifices.

The traces of the Spiritual Mountain's Ten Thousand Buddhas on the city walls are the evidence of this.

By all accounts, such a city, regardless of the most bizarre and terrifying world, should be the most peaceful and pure place, and shouldn't fall into mutation.

Yet all that met the eye brought Tao Qian to a stop, countless eerie filths.

Solidified into form, pink-green clouds emerged from the city, enveloping a radius of a hundred li, stirring restlessly... The once clear moat was now filled with pus, dark green in color, containing floating debris, upon closer inspection, comprised of various decaying organs, along with swarms of flies congregating into insect clouds... The city walls, once awash with Buddha Light, were now covered in a layer of stinking flesh paste, with repulsive mucus dripping down.

The entire territory here was ominous.

Especially within the bloodstained city, an exceptionally fearsome thing seemed to be gestating, deterring any from approaching.

Yet inside, from time to time, there were enticing sounds and joyous words, birth causing affected life forms unwittingly suppressing fear, rushing toward the city.

"Endless Freedom!"

"Carefree Liberation!"

"What a fine evil, originates from Buddhist Law, twists Buddhist Law, no wonder it first took root in this place..."

"You all withdraw three hundred li, then dispatch a messenger monk to Little Ling Mountain of Tang Country with a report, saying that in Taoyuan Country's Yu Fo City, there's appeared a [Evil Calamity] related to Buddhism, filthy and indulgent, capable of dyeing Ten Thousand Qi, and request Spiritual Mountain Buddhas to show saintly appearances here, to save the living beings."

"At Bodhisattva's command."

Responding to Tao Buddha's son were his subordinates, the Ultimate Happiness Buddha Disciples, each wearing peach blossom monk robes, holding Ultimate Happiness Buddha Mallets, diligently practicing Peach Blossom Pure Land Dharma, skilled as they were, yet upon encountering Demon Suppression and Devil Subduing, all became feeble.

If Tao Qian had been a bit later, the hundreds of Buddha Disciples left here would probably all be consumed.

Chasing back the subordinates, Tao Qian did not rush into the city to investigate immediately, the Yu Fo City at this moment was truly strange, plus since the All Heavens Buddhism descended upon the Search God Realm, he had first learned from the Divination Worm about the terrors of [Tarnished Compassion Buddha], now witnessing it for the first time, naturally he wouldn't act rashly.

He saw a bead of flesh swell on his body, rolling down, and with a flash of Buddha Light, instantly transformed into a new Ultimate Happiness Bodhisattva.

Tao Qian's face changed slightly as the words left his lips.

Suddenly, figures flickered before his eyes, and in an instant, eighteen extremely enthusiastic figures leaped and moved from various directions, suddenly blocking Tao Qian at the city gate.

In the next moment, Tao Qian's eyes were already reflecting the eighteen unsightly faces of decayed monks, each face rotten beyond measure, covered in pustules, with maggots visibly writhing inside. The bodies were similarly decayed, rotting to the bone, with all the internal organs liquefied, barely held in by filthy monk robes.

Tao Qian knew with a glance that these eighteen were all the city's [Guest Monks].

Despite their appearance, they seemed to feel no pain, instead lost in an extreme ecstasy, their rotten faces permanently twisted into grotesque smiles.

Eighteen hoarse, foul-smelling voices overlapped as they spoke.

"Bodhisattva arrives, apologies for not greeting from afar."

"Greetings, Peach Blossom Pure Land Bodhisattva!"

"The entry of the Bodhisattva into the city is a blessing for the believers here."

"Please, Bodhisattva, take a bath!"

"Please, Bodhisattva, taste the sweet dew!"

"Please, Bodhisattva, taste the Buddha Fruit!"

Amidst the joyful Buddha sounds, Tao Qian watched with his own eyes as these mutated fallen Guest Monks performed horrifying actions:

Three monks pulled swollen, steaming intestines mixed with feces from their bellies, spreading them on the ground, whereupon ghost umbrella mushrooms bloomed in vivid color, exploding spore clouds. They humbly invited Tao Qian, the Pure Land Bodhisattva, to step barefoot on them.

Four monks stood to the sides, using dirty blackened hands to pry open their skulls, scooping out brain pulp like thick soup, tossing handfuls into the air where, amidst Evil Light Flashing, they transformed into beautiful petals dancing in the air, one handful after another, the shallow skull bowl showing no sign of depletion.

Then six monks followed, pulling out instruments like wooden fish and copper bells from their robes, striking and chanting, but the sounds were not beautiful Buddhist tones, rather an extremely harsh noise that went straight to the soul, capable of mutating souls with overwhelming indulgent joy.

These were still tolerable, and could be endured.

What truly made Tao Buddha's son turn pale in shock was yet another three monks coming forward.

First, a monk holding a bucket of foul-smelling dark green pus poured it on Tao Qian, calling it "a bath."

The second monk carried a bowl of fragrant but alarmingly ominous snow-white liquid, trying to force it into Tao Qian's mouth.

The third monk was the most terrifying, appearing neither monk nor nun, face full of fervor, reaching into their abdomen midway and digging out a newly formed fetal Ghost Baby, wailing at birth then smiling to recite Buddhist scriptures, called "Great Compassionate Buddha Fruit" by the Guest Monks, trying to force it into Tao Qian's mouth.

Though [Yu Fo City] was nominally under Tao Qian's rule, he did not wish to enjoy such enthusiasm and immediately moved to refuse.

Yet even as the thought arose, he realized his Dharma Body wouldn't move, frozen in place.

His Dharma Eye scanned, revealing nothing amiss.

"Hmm?"

Startled, he immediately communed with the Divination Worm, seeing the shocking scene that only appeared under a Heavenly Dao perspective.

His supposedly Vajra Unbreakable Dharma Body was enveloped by countless tiny like dust Evil Worms—indescribable bizarre creatures that resembled plump little people, always smiling, their bodies flashing with sinister, twisted joy as they crazily drilled into Tao Qian's body's acupoints, attempting to invade him.

For now, they hadn't succeeded but had him forcibly pinned in place.

Only upon seeing this terrifying scene did the record in his mind belatedly trigger: [Currently under "Tarnished Compassion Buddha Son" erosion... This is an Evil spawned from accumulated Tarnished Compassion Evil Dust, known as Buddha Son, a creation of Buddha of Tarnished Compassion after observing the Outer Realm Heaven Demons, undying and indestructible, tiny like dust, immune to All Techniques, able to taint Ten Thousand Qi, extremely overbearing.]

"How daring!"

At this moment, Tao Buddha's son could not look more displeased.

He didn't even have time to consider what form the tens of thousands of citizens in Yu Fo City had turned into, knowing they couldn't possibly have any survivors, just like his Mystical Pearl Avatar had carelessly fallen into the trap, the remaining populace offered no resistance.

The whole city had fallen into evil.

And he, or rather his Mystical Pearl Avatar, was nearly included in that.

Unable to move naturally meant being carried and stepping on those warm rotten intestines, being drenched with brain matter, bathed in pus... seeing that Ghost Baby like a Buddha Child about to be forced into an avatar's mouth.

Outside the city, Tao Qian, no longer able to bear investigating, let out a cold snort and immediately took action.

With a thought, that Mystical Pearl Avatar exploded with a thunderous roar, turning into over ten thousand [Sandalwood Merit Buddha Flames] scattering across the city, burning away filth.

Being a vengeful character, he wouldn't deem this retaliation sufficient after such a fright, risking humiliation.

In the next moment, he shook his body, scattering Mystical Pearls from him, each transforming into avatars, moving into the city.

Once settled, he unleashed various mighty Divine Skills as if spending no effort.
