Only after the gossiping voices outside faded did Ariel Morris emerge from the bathroom stall. She walked to the sink to wash her hands, her expression calm, as if she hadn’t taken the gossip to heart. Yet, her eyes seemed slightly vacant, betraying her inner turmoil.

Thinking about it, her heart began to feel a slight ache, then unraveling like silk strands, it pulled more intensely, deepening the pain.

After washing her hands, Ariel Morris turned to go back to work. Just as she turned, a pale hand swung sharply towards her.

Ariel Morris just came back to her senses, not even having time to dodge, before a loud slap landed squarely on her left cheek.

She raised her eyes, defiantly glaring at the person who hit her, a flame of anger igniting within her.

"Valeria Johnson, what the hell are you doing?!"

Valeria Johnson looked coldly at Ariel Morris, recalling the gossip she heard moments ago about her being less attractive than Ariel Morris, feeling incredibly bitter and angry, she came over and slapped Ariel Morris’s pure face.

Even after slapping once, Valeria Johnson still felt unsatisfied, raising her hand to strike again.

Her hand swung just inches from Ariel Morris’s cheek before being caught firmly. Ariel Morris grabbed Valeria Johnson’s wrist, her tone icy: "Valeria Johnson, you only got the first slap because I was distracted! And now, you want to lay a hand on me? Dream on! Let me tell you, if we actually fight, even two Valeria Johnsons wouldn’t be able to beat me!"

"Don’t think Ariel Morris is someone easy to bully! If you don’t believe me, bring it on! See if I can’t beat you black and blue, keeping you off the screen!"

"You dare! Ariel Morris! Just try being arrogant!" Valeria Johnson shouted, struggling to free her wrist.

Ariel Morris sneered, looking at Valeria Johnson, tightly clenching her wrist, exerting pressure to prevent her from breaking free.
