Nico Haynes looked at his good brother Arlo Seys, whose eyes were locked onto Ariel Morris, and sighed softly.
Arlo, it seems you’ve really fallen...

After returning from Red Fragrance Hill that day, Ariel Morris, Dawn Sutherland, and the others grew closer. The four of them planned another trip to the seaside.
The seven-day holiday flew by.
On the first day back at school, Ariel Morris carried a thousand knots bracelet made of black thread, adorned with an exquisite dice, to school.
The first day of class was a drizzling, rainy day.
During the lesson, Ariel Morris absentmindedly played with the bracelet under her desk, her lips curling into a faint smile. She was so lost in imagining how much Arlo Seys would like this bracelet that she didn’t notice when the homeroom teacher called her to stand up and answer a question.
"Ariel Morris! Stand up!"
A sudden roar snapped Ariel back to reality. As she came to her senses, the homeroom teacher, filled with anger, had already approached her.
"Ariel Morris, hand over the item! Making little moves during class! You think I don’t notice?!"
Ariel slowly stood up, lowered her eyes, and stayed silent, clutching the bracelet tightly in her palm.
"I said hand it over!" The homeroom teacher roared again.
Ariel pressed her lips together and responded in a low voice, yet with resolute determination, "Teacher, you can confiscate anything else, but I can’t give you what’s in my hand!"
It took her three days and nights to craft this exquisite dice and red bean bracelet, which she intended as a gift for Arlo Seys.
The teacher’s anger fully erupted, shouting at Ariel, "Hand it over!"
Ariel looked up at the teacher, her attitude unwavering, her tone calm yet filled with an unrefusable persistence, "I accept any punishment, but this cannot be handed over."
"Ariel Morris! I always thought you were an obedient student, but I didn’t expect you to be so disrespectful, contradicting a teacher! Go run five laps on the field!"
Ariel gave a slight bow, holding the bracelet firmly, pressed her lips, and said, "Thank you, teacher, I accept the punishment."
Ariel, with a calm expression, ran out of the classroom and dashed into the rain, voluntarily starting her punishment on the field.
Just as Ariel was running her punishment, it was the sophomore third class’s PE session. Because of the rain, their PE teacher dismissed them, allowing them to rest instead of conducting exercises.
Arlo Seys stood in the corridor of the academic building, with Dawn Sutherland and Nico Haynes by his side.
Nico Haynes, sipping on a drink, leaned against the balcony railing, comfortably admiring the Scenic Hill High School campus. By chance, he spotted Ariel Morris running as punishment in the rain on the field.
Nico took a sip of his drink, widened his eyes, and casually remarked, "What kind of madness is Ariel Morris up to again? Running in the rain?"
Arlo and Dawn’s gaze followed Nico’s direction and saw Ariel running on the track.
The rain was coming down hard, yet Ariel continued running without the slightest intention of stopping. Arlo watched her silhouette in the rain, his gaze heavy.
"I’ll go take a look."
Dawn turned back to the classroom to borrow an umbrella from a classmate, and as soon as he stepped out, a pair of fair and handsome hands blocked his path.
Arlo parted his thin lips, speaking softly, "Dawn, give me the umbrella."
Dawn paused for a moment, quickly caught on, and then smiled gracefully. He teased, "Arlo, take good care of it."
Arlo’s throat moved slightly. He took the umbrella and immediately turned to head downstairs.
On the field.
Ariel was running in the rain when she suddenly noticed that the rain no longer fell on her shoulders. She slowly looked up to find an umbrella over her head.
Ariel slowly turned her gaze, and upon seeing who it was, joy overflowed in her eyes. Her lips moved slightly, softly calling out, "Arlo Seys."
