Love Symphony: Let Your Heart Beat for Me
Chapter 35 - 013 Where the Heart Goes
CHAPTER 35: CHAPTER 013 WHERE THE HEART GOES
Life is full of surprises, like right now, in this tiny noodle shop of just over twenty square meters, Su Wan and Fu are sitting together on slightly worn-out plastic chairs, eating noodles.
She ordered two bowls of noodles, one vegetable noodle bowl for herself, and the other beef noodle bowl for Fu.
As the steaming noodles were served, Su Wan absentmindedly took a bite, her gaze occasionally flicking towards the person in front of her who was eating with his head down.
He first took a bite of the noodles, then scooped a spoonful of soup into his mouth, occasionally picking up a piece of meat to eat. His movements were elegant and natural like a well-cultured gentleman, composed and graceful. Clearly, it was just a bowl of noodles, yet he ate it with the demeanor of dining on Western cuisine.
Su Wan was captivated by the sight, it was truly a feast for the eyes...
Fu Weiheng had a good dining manner and didn’t waste time eating either, finishing his bowl of noodles in no time. He gently placed his chopsticks down, casually wiped his mouth with a napkin, and looked up: "Enjoying the view?"
The sudden gaze startled Su Wan, almost making her choke on the half bite of noodles in her mouth. She quickly averted her eyes, her face turning a shade of red.
Getting caught spying on someone, Su Wan dared not look up at the person in front of her again. She buried her head and devoured her noodles quickly, eating so hastily that she ended up feeling quite stuffed...
"Mr. Fu..." Su Wan gently spoke, "I’m done eating."
Fu Weiheng glanced at the now empty bowl and nodded contentedly: "Let’s go."
On the way back to the dorm, Fu Weiheng walked on her left side. Two bicycles passed in front and behind them, bringing a gentle breeze. Fu Weiheng’s cool voice sounded in her ear: "Su Wan."
Su Wan turned to look at him: "Hmm."
Fu Weiheng: "What am I to you?"
Su Wan felt embarrassed, her mind first thinking of some advertisement...
Tea?
Forgive her for ruining the atmosphere...
Su Wan smiled shyly: "I suppose, a friend."
Fu Weiheng raised an eyebrow: "If we’re friends, then let’s change how you address me."
Su Wan lowered her eyes in shyness. It wasn’t that she was unwilling, but at some level, it would make her feel shy...
Later, back at the dorm, Su Wan could not avoid being teased and mocked by Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye.
Xu Chengyang: "Wanwan, did the God make a move on you?"
Looking at Xu Chengyang’s suggestive smile, Su Wan recalled being held hands by Fu Weiheng earlier, and her palms tingled inexplicably.
Yao Ye leaned over: "Wanwan, you guys..."
"Stop!" Su Wan glared at both of them and emphasized sternly, "Fu Weiheng and I are just friends."
Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye exchanged a glance, smiling, and said in unison: "Okay, friends!"
Su Wan: "..."
The next day, as usual, Su Wan went to the Fu Mansion to give Ye Fan a lesson. Just ten minutes before heading out, she coincidentally received a call from Fu Weiheng: "I’m heading to the old mansion now, wait for me, I’ll pick you up."
Su Wan thought for a moment and refused: "No need, it would be out of your way to come from there, it’s inconvenient."
Fu Weiheng laughed: "We’re friends, no need to be formal with me."
Su Wan: "..."
Arriving at the Fu Mansion, seeing the two returning together once again, Fu Weijin approached with a smile and, holding Su Wan’s hand, spoke meaningfully: "Wanwan, you’re here? Did Neil pick you up?"
Su Wan silently glanced at Fu Weiheng beside her and saw that he looked perfectly composed while she was a bit flustered: "Just happened to be on the way..."
Fu Weijin covered her mouth to stifle a laugh, then put her arm around Su Wan’s shoulders: "Wanwan, do you have time this weekend?"
Su Wan: "Weekend?"
Fu Weijin sighed: "Originally, Ivan and I planned to take Fanfan to the amusement park this weekend, but there’s an issue at Ivan’s company, so we have to go on a business trip until next week. Could I trouble you to take Fanfan there?"
Fu Weijin had last-minute work and couldn’t go to the amusement park, not wanting to disappoint Fanfan. Su Wan considered it; she didn’t have any plans for the weekend anyway, and playing with the little girl was fine. She chuckled and agreed: "No problem."
Fu Weijin was thrilled to hear her agree so easily: "Thanks, Wanwan! I’ve already bought the tickets. For both your safety, I’ll have Neil accompany you."
Su Wan was surprised: "Ah... huh? Go together?"
Fu Weiheng, who was walking toward the steps, paused upon hearing her slightly reluctant tone, and sharply glanced over: "Unwilling?"
Su Wan gritted her teeth, smiled tightly: "... How could that be, I’m delighted."
Fu Weiheng: "Good, then be prepared." After saying this, he walked up to the study with long strides.
Su Wan: "..."
Fu Weijin chuckled lightly: "Really looking forward to Wanwan’s first date, hahaha..."
Su Wan exclaimed: "Date?"
