Lucky Spin: Godly Programming
Chapter 119: The shocked class
CHAPTER 119: CHAPTER 119: THE SHOCKED CLASS
After coming back home, with nothing else to do, and noticing that Jessica was nowhere in sight and not bothering him.
He decided to make the most of his free time.
He turned his full attention back to SORA, determined to improve her further.
This time, he focused on feeding her with a vast amount of knowledge, especially in coding, giving her the tools to grow even smarter and more useful.
He did this until it was 5 in the afternoon, so he took a bit of rest.
He was not tired, rather just bored. After another round of enhancing and programming, SORA had become much smarter than before.
She was now almost like Jarvis, though without any advanced technology like robots or machinery.
After about two more hours passed, the system suddenly sounded.
[Lucky Spin System]
[2 days has passed. One spin has been given to the host.]
(Do you want to spin?)
[Yes] or [No]
After choosing no, Jeff dedicated his time to cultivating, focusing on increasing his strength even further.
When the white room opened, he immediately challenged Jakol to another set of close quarters combat rounds.
After the intense exchange and once the time inside the white room had ended, he could not help but lie down on the floor with a satisfied smile on his face.
The pain he had taken this time was worth it. And it was not the pain itself that made him happy, since he was not some masochist.
What truly satisfied him was the progress in survival.
He had managed to endure Jakol’s onslaught for over 50 seconds, which is a major improvement compared to before.
Even though he was mostly passive, focusing on defense and occasionally going on the offensive, not a single one of his strikes had landed cleanly.
Still, it was a major breakthrough.
After a while, there was a knock on the door, and once again, Jessica walked in without asking for permission from the owner.
They spent some time talking, sharing stories to pass the evening.
After a while, Jessica left since tomorrow was Monday and they both knew they could not stay up too late.
Following his routine, Jeff went to bed and got a good night’s sleep.
When morning came, he took a shower and left his home early.
He went to a computer shop to print some papers along with his script for the debate.
Once everything was done, he made his way to school.
Upon arriving, he was once again the very first to get there.
As he sat quietly in the room, time passed, and eventually another classmate arrived.
The moment she stepped into the room and saw him sitting there, she froze, completely stunned.
There sat a boy she had never seen before.
Jeff, who was fiddling with his pen as he sat calmly, glanced toward the door and smiled when he noticed her.
"Good morning," he said, his tone was light and welcoming.
It was part of his usual routine, especially when he was in a good mood.
Hearing the greeting, his classmate Peneranda blushed.
He was just too handsome, and the sudden attention caught her completely off guard.
"Is there a transferee student? But the school year is already ending. That seems impossible. Maybe he’s from another section?" she thought, racking her mind for any explanation.
Seeing her frozen at the door left Jeff a bit baffled. He looked at her with mild confusion, wondering what was going on.
Finally, she snapped out of her daze and gave a small nod in reply.
With her head lowered, she quietly walked to the back seat.
Watching this, Jeff briefly wondered if he had done something wrong, but he quickly brushed the thought aside and continued playing with the pen in his hand.
He made the pen spin between his fingers like a wave, sometimes even flipping it between both hands with ease.
Then another classmate arrived, this time another girl.
Jeff greeted her politely, just like before and once again, he got the same stunned reaction.
"Hmm, something is really wrong," he thought.
As he tried to process what kind of unknown force was causing this strange atmosphere.
As more classmates filled the room, both boys and girls continued to glance in his direction.
Each one stole quick looks, whispering among themselves in hushed tones.
His presence and appearance felt so otherworldly, so unfamiliar, that it left them wondering who he really was.
"Hey, who do you think that student is?"
"Yeah, is he a transferee?"
"I don’t think so. Graduation is already very close. Transferring a student now seems impossible," another girl replied.
"Hey, did you girls notice that he’s sitting in Jeff’s seat?" one of them finally said, pointing at the spot where Jeff sat.
All of them turned their eyes toward the seat. And in that moment, they finally understood what she meant.
"Are you saying that he is Jeff? That Jeff? That’s impossible!" one girl exclaimed, her face frozen in shock, mouth slightly open in disbelief.
"I think it really is him. Look at that uniform, and especially that bag on his seat. We can’t deny that," the same girl who pointed at Jeff’s seat said again, her voice firm.
"You’re right, that’s definitely his bag. But isn’t it pretty impossible? How could someone change that much in just two days of not seeing each other?" another girl added, her tone demanding some kind of explanation.
"Did he took a plastic surgery?" A girl said to the group of girl providing his points.
"You stupid girl, that’s likely not the case right now," one of the girls scoffed, shaking her head.
"If you want to know, plastic surgery takes weeks, even sometimes months to heal! You don’t just walk out two days later looking brand new."
Another girl nodded at her words as she responded, "Exactly! If Jeff really had surgery, he’d still be swollen or bruised. His skin would look unnatural, maybe even stiff."
"Not to mention bandages as well," another girl chimed in.
"Because if he did the surgery wouldn’t he at least have some visible signs of recovery? If you take a look at him he looks too normal to me"
"So if it’s not surgery, then how?" the first girl said, crossing her arms with a skeptical look.
"I think it’s a mystery. Just look at him. He seems taller, and his lean build has filled out. Look at his arms, you can even see muscle patterns. Damn, he looks so cool and way-way more handsome than before!" another girl muttered, gripping her pen so tightly it looked like she might snap it in half.
"You’re right about that. Plastic surgery doesn’t affect height or build. And it’s not just his looks, he seems different, more refined. Almost like a noble, don’t you think?"
"You’re right, girl, but this still doesn’t prove he’s Jeff. He used to have pimples and acne, and his skin was never this polished," she argued, adding another point to the ongoing debate about his identity.
The others leaned in as well, trying to figure it out for themselves.
Was it really Jeff or just someone who happened to sit in his seat?
Jeff, with his enhanced hearing, could hear every word. It felt like their whispers were happening right in front of him.
He could not help but bite his lip slightly, amazed at how effective the system’s changes had been.
The changes were incredibly fast. Jeff had already been considered cute and handsome before, but now that the cute was gone, what remained was pure handsomeness with a noble edge.
He looked like someone from a high-class family, the kind of person who had been groomed with care since childhood.
As he looked up toward the door, his three best friends finally arrived.
It was Andre, Mark, and Lester. As they walked toward their seats, they couldn’t help but glance at the unfamiliar student sitting at Jeff’s spot.
"Hey, why are you sitting at Jeff’s seat? Are you lost?" Andre asked, eyeing him suspiciously.
While Mark stood beside him, his eyes narrowing trying to identify something.
Jeff was about to reply when Mark suddenly blurted out, "Wow, Jeff, how did you become so much more handsome than before? Did you take some kind of beauty drug or something?"
Hearing the name, Andre’s eyes widened in disbelief. It was as if his soul was trying to leave his body.
"You—you... You’re Jeff? That’s impossible!" he shouted, slamming his hand on the desk in shock, his strong reaction frightened Jeff.
After some time, when they finally calmed down, and after a long explanation that defied some common sense, but they still chose to believe it.
More of his male classmates came over to talk to him, asking questions and joking around as Jeff casually entertained them.
As for the girls, they surrounded him like he was a celebrity, their eyes were filled admiration.
"It should have been me, you lucky bastard!" Andre muttered, looking at Jeff with a mix of betrayal and pure envy.
Arianna had just arrived and quietly walked to her seat.
The moment she saw Jeff, her eyes widened in surprise. The transformation was nothing short of amazing.
Her eyes sparkled for a moment before she quickly looked away, pretending not to care.
Meanwhile, Jeff remained surrounded, especially by the girls who were pressing in close with endless questions and compliments.
Andre could not take it anymore. He stood up abruptly and raised his voice.
"Alright, alright, young ladies, please step aside and let my buddy catch his breath. Look at him, you’re torturing the guy," he said dramatically, waving his hands to clear the space.
The girls paused and turned to Andre with matching looks of annoyance.
"Shut up, you playboy. You’re just jealous you’re not handsome," one of them snapped, flipping her hair with a huff.
"Hmph," another added as they dispersed, but not before each of them gave Jeff a playful wink on their way out.
The combined effect made Jeff shudder.
"Not handsome? Did you freaking hear that? She said I’m not handsome!" Andre cried out dramatically.
As he grabbed Jeff by both shoulders and shaking him wildly as if trying to wake him from a dream.
Jeff’s head was spinning from all the shaking, "If that girl knew I’ve already bagged one of the three beauties from the other school, she’d regret saying that," he muttered under his breath.
"Yeah, yeah. Also, can you please stop shaking me? She’s the one who said that, not me. Why are you throwing a tantrum at me?" Jeff said, giving him a tired look.
"Hmphhh. Forget it. Arguing with a girl isn’t gentlemanly," Andre huffed as he walked off and plopped down beside Lester.
It was clear he was sulking. His looks had always been one of his greatest assets when it came to charming girls, and now someone had dared to question that.
This wasn’t just about pride for Andre, it was about credibility and self-esteem. It struck a nerve deeper than just appearance.
Seeing his friend sulking, Jeff smiled wryly as he sat quietly as Mark joined him for a casual conversation.
Finally, the teacher arrived. As she walked to the center of the room and looked around, her eyes landed on Jeff and she froze, completely stunned by what she saw.
