Chapter 787: Chapter 260: Only You Can Cure My Illness (Five Updates Burst)

Outside Heavenly Medicine Clinic, the sound of an engine being turned off could be heard. Anzi was inside the pharmacy, speaking with a patient when a tall and slender figure suddenly walked in. Anzi looked up, her face filled with shock.

“Master Mo, why have you come?!”

“To see the doctor!” A deep voice rang out as Mo Yunchen strode toward Qin Qin’s room.

Anzi watched Mo Yunchen enter Qin Qin’s room, standing frozen in place.

Why would Master Mo come to the Heavenly Medicine Clinic, and even enter Doctor Qin’s room?

Inside the room, Qin Qin was still deep in thought.

The steady footsteps stopped in front of Qin Qin. She snapped out of her reverie. “Take a seat, what discomfort do you have?”

She spoke without lifting her head, assuming it was a patient, until silence came from the opposite side and a familiar cool and clear scent rushed into her nostrils. Qin Qin looked up in shock.

Opposite her, the tall and slender figure was seated. His handsome face as distinct as a Heavenly God’s, with narrow, long phoenix eyes firmly locked on her.

“What are you doing here?”

She found herself stammering, her calm heart beating violently.

“To see the doctor!”

The deep, sexy, and slightly hoarse voice sounded again.

His gaze held her, his voice rising again, making her heart skip a beat for the second time.

Avoiding his gaze, Qin Qin’s palms began to sweat. “Where do you feel uncomfortable?”

“My heart feels uncomfortable.”

His voice rose again. Qin Qin looked at Mo Yunchen, his intense gaze such that she couldn’t look directly at him; the heat in it seemed as though it could ignite her.

“What symptoms are there!”

Maintaining her composure, Qin Qin asked softly. She was a doctor. She shouldn’t run away from this; she had to stay calm.

“It hasn’t beat for three years, undisturbed by anything.”

“Now it aches out of yearning and discomfort.”

“These last few days, it has started beating violently. What do you think is wrong with it?”

“Is there a cure?”

On the last question, his voice grew heavier.

Qin Qin’s heart jumped again. Although he was clearly talking about something unrelated to her, it seemed as though he was talking about her, and there seemed to be a hint of accusation in his words.

“I can’t treat your illness.”

How could she treat an ailment of the heart?

“But you’re the only one who can cure my illness.”

His deep gaze fixed on her, Qin Qin, flustered, grabbed a cup of tea and took a sip, only to choke on it by accident.

Mo Yunchen reached out, wanting to rise and pat Qin Qin’s back, but she stepped back to avoid him. “I’ll prescribe you some medicine.”

Reluctantly, that was all she could do.

“…Alright!”

Mo Yunchen nodded and looked at Qin Qin. She lowered her head and began to write a prescription for Mo Yunchen. Her hand trembled slightly as she tried to ignore the presence beside her.

Having written the prescription, Qin Qin raised her head and handed the piece of paper to Mo Yunchen. He raised his long fingers to take it, and whether intentionally or not, his fingers brushed against Qin Qin’s.

Qin Qin felt a tingling sensation spread throughout her body, and she quickly withdrew her hand, clasping her left hand over her right.

Mo Yunchen withdrew his hands as if nothing had happened, placing the prescription carefully away. Just as Qin Qin thought he would leave, he lifted his head to look at her again. “I want my fortune told.”

“How do you know I can read fortunes?”

Qin Qin looked at Mo Yunchen in astonishment; it was a skill that hardly anyone should know about, so how did he know about it?

Mo Yunchen kept his gaze on Qin Qin and said without speaking, “I want to know when my wife will return.”

“Your wife is already dead. How can she return?”

Mo Yunchen’s wife was deceased. Why was he acting so strange, constantly fixating on her, treating her as if she were his wife?

“She will come back. If she knew I’ve been waiting for her, she would return.”

Mo Yunchen spoke in a deep, affectionate tone. “I just want you to calculate when my wife will return.”

“Alright, I’ll calculate it for you.”

Qin Qin stared at Mo Yunchen, her eyes deepening.

Mo Yunchen noticed the purple in the depths of her eyes, his hands by his sides clenching.

Qin Qin had once told him that ever since she had been reborn, she could see people’s destinies. Her eyes would turn purple when she chose to look.

The purple in the depths of Qin Qin’s eyes flashed and was gone. She expected to see visions as usual, but instead a sudden pain shot through her mind. She clenched her head in agony, her body leaning back slightly.

Feeling tight support around her waist, Qin Qin dropped her hands and opened her eyes to look at Mo Yunchen. Her heartbeat quickened, a familiar sensation lingering in her heart.

It took a while for Qin Qin to regain her composure and push Mo Yunchen away. “Sorry.”

Mo Yunchen rose and sat back down in his place. “Does it still hurt?”
