Meiji gazed at the car driven by Qi Tianshang as it departed, her expression darkening slightly.

She had fled desperately from that place just to see him once, yet he was completely unwilling to meet her, even finding it uncomfortable to glance at her. What could she do to make him look at her just a bit longer?

After Qi Tianshang’s car had been gone for some time, Meiji turned her attention back to the villa. She needed to know who it was inside that villa, to understand who had caused him to lose control.

A car drove up from the distance, and Meiji moved aside.

The car stopped outside the villa, and a tall man stepped out, only to be stopped by the guards at the villa’s entrance.

"I wonder if Madam Mo is home. I’ve come to deliver an invitation."

Jiang Qingtian’s gaze sought to peer past the guards and into the villa, hoping to catch a glimpse of someone inside. The invitation could have been sent by a servant, but he insisted on delivering it himself—perhaps in hopes of seeing her, even if just for a moment.

"Young Master Jiang, you can just give me the invitation. Madam does not see guests."

After handing the invitation to the guard, Jiang Qingtian glanced at the villa one last time before leaving.

He had made an excuse to deliver the invitation, but still didn’t get to see her. Even if the invitation reached her, she probably wouldn’t come anyway.

Steward Wei approached from the side, and the guard handed the invitation to him. Nodding, Steward Wei took the invitation inside the villa.

Returning to reality, Qin Qin looked up at the invitation Steward Wei held. She had been hoping to relax and read, but today seemed full of interruptions.

As she accepted the invitation from Steward Wei, she intended only to glance at it, but its content startled her.

The invitation was for a banquet, hosted by Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng had actually woken up, after years of being comatose.

Qin Qin’s gaze lifted, glancing across the room, her expression changing as she rose from her chair. "Who’s there?"

When she looked up, she had clearly seen a shadow lingering behind a tree. It vanished the instant she spoke.

"Madam, there’s no one there."

Steward Wei looked in that direction but saw no one.

"Hmm, maybe it was just my imagination. Go on with your duties."

After Steward Wei left, Qin Qin walked to where she had seen the shadow, but found no one there.

She had clearly seen a shadow standing there watching her, only for it to disappear as soon as she looked, too fast for her to catch a good look.

Outside the villa, Meiji stood at a corner, her face somber.

It’s that woman, the one she had seen in the restaurant and bar whose Spiritual Energy was so abundant! Could she be the woman Qi Tianshang was infatuated with? Was it she who caused him distress?

Meiji turned, her graceful figure gradually disappearing from the villa’s entrance.

The guard glanced in the direction where Meiji had left. When had this woman appeared?
