"Qingtian, first go greet the other guests."

Jiang Feng said to Jiang Qingtian who nodded, glanced once more at Qin Qin, and then left.

Once Jiang Qingtian left, Jiang Feng smiled, "Go on in."

Qin Qin and Mo Yunchen exchanged a look, knowing that leaving now was obviously not possible as Jiang Feng seemed to have his eyes on them.

Qi Tianshang, standing beside Qin Qin, whispered to her, "Be careful."

Qin Qin turned her head slightly towards Qi Tianshang, nodding imperceptibly, "Thanks, I know."

She then stepped forward, taking Mo Yunchen’s arm, and entered the villa hall.

Mo Yunchen’s long phoenix eyes glanced at Qi Tianshang, who was staring at him as if urging him to protect Qin Qin well.

Mo Yunchen’s eyes darkened slightly, then he retracted his gaze.

Upon entering the villa hall, Qin Qin carefully observed the surroundings, noticing that besides the guests coming and going, many servants seemed to have demonic Qi on them, as did the two people behind Jiang Feng and the steward. These people all had the presence of demons.

Why would Jiang Feng suddenly host these parties? She glanced around, not spotting anyone from the Leng Family or the Mu Family, it seemed they had only sent representatives. After all, the Leng and Mu Families were on good terms with the Mo Family and her, knowing about the Mo Family’s and her grievances with the Jiang Family, they naturally wouldn’t attend in person, at most sending someone.

Not seeing any familiar faces, Qin Qin breathed a sigh of relief. She always felt that Jiang Feng’s hosted banquet wasn’t simple, suddenly recalling a girl named Xiangxiang. Could Jiang Feng want to turn everyone into something like Xiangxiang, neither human nor demon?

Qin Qin spoke, with Mo Yunchen glancing toward the individuals she mentioned, his expression turning cold.

"No matter what he’s planning, I won’t let him harm you."

Mo Yunchen tightened his grip on Qin Qin’s hand, speaking gently.

He initially didn’t want her to attend the banquet. Knowing it’s dangerous with Jiang Feng around, he couldn’t leave her in peril. When Mo Sheng was arranging to attend the party, Qin Qin was already waiting at the Mo Corporation’s entrance, refusing to let him go alone. He couldn’t argue against her in the end, so he brought her along.

Qin Qin nodded, leaning closer to Mo Yunchen, feeling reassured just being with him.

The arrival of Mo Yunchen, Qin Qin, and Qi Tianshang attracted many socialites who intended to strike up a conversation but hesitated upon noticing their unusual demeanor.

Mo Yunchen, Qin Qin, and Qi Tianshang stood at a corner, observing Jiang Feng who stepped onto the stage to speak.

Jiang Feng stood on stage, sweeping an eerie and cold gaze over the guests, not uttering any formalities, merely standing there.

The guests below found it odd, whispering and speculating among each other.

Jiang Qingtian, who stood to one side, was about to step forward when suddenly all the lights in the banquet hall exploded with loud bangs.

When Mo Yunchen, Qin Qin, and Qi Tianshang saw Jiang Feng take the stage without speaking, they became alert.

Mo Yunchen continuously held Qin Qin close, shielding her, while Qi Tianshang averted his gaze with a darkened expression.

The moment the lights exploded, Mo Yunchen pulled Qin Qin into his arms, shielding her from the flying shards of glass.

Qi Tianshang could do nothing but watch as Qin Qin was hugged by Mo Yunchen. A figure rushed over, and seeing a fragment about to hit Qi Tianshang, the tall figure lunged protectively, followed by a muffled grunt.

Instinctively, Qi Tianshang embraced the person who leapt towards him. The familiar sensation told him who was shielding him—it was Meiji.

"What are you doing here?"

Qi Tianshang asked in a deep voice.

"Tianshang, you’re not allowed to get hurt, and I won’t let you get hurt."

Meiji embraced Qi Tianshang, her back lacerated with shards, blood trickling down, but she ignored it.

Catching the scent of blood, Qin Qin clung to Mo Yunchen, urgently pulling at his arm, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"I’m fine, it wasn’t me!"

Mo Yunchen held Qin Qin, his own injuries absent.

Relieved, Qin Qin leaned into Mo Yunchen’s embrace.

Qi Tianshang pushed Meiji away, his voice low and somewhat hoarse, "Meiji, are you hurt?"

In the darkness, Meiji smiled, "I’m fine, it’s just someone else’s body. I’m okay, really, as long as you’re all right."

He finally cared about her once, how wonderful!

Qi Tianshang remained silent, saying nothing more.

Qin Qin glanced in the darkness at Meiji leaning against Qi Tianshang, discovering that the demon attacking her had ties not just to Qi Tianshang, but a deep affection for him.

"Be careful!"

Qi Tianshang suddenly spoke, prompting Qin Qin and Mo Yunchen to focus on where Jiang Feng had been.

Meiji’s expression turned grim, despite her fear of that person, for Qi Tianshang’s sake, she couldn’t back down. She wouldn’t let any demon hurt Qi Tianshang, not even if it cost her life.

Holding Qin Qin, Mo Yunchen’s long, cold phoenix eyes shot a glare towards Jiang Feng’s direction.

In the darkness, Jiang Feng’s figure loomed on the stage without any movement.

With the onset of darkness, many high society men and women were startled, some timid ones screaming in fear.

Suddenly, the whole hall grew icy cold, with numerous noblewomen rubbing their arms, "Why is it suddenly so cold?"

"Get out of here,"

someone shouted, and many people surged forward, but the ones in front seemed to scream as though someone was strangling them.

Qi Tianshang, Mo Yunchen, along with the group, showed dark expressions in the darkness.

"Mo Yunchen, let’s get out of here first."

Qi Tianshang said to Mo Yunchen.

"Mm!"

Mo Yunchen agreed with a low hum, holding Qin Qin as they headed to another side.

Qi Tianshang was ready to move forward, noticing Meiji standing there, he pursed his lips before pulling her hand to follow Mo Yunchen.

"Master Mo, where are you planning to go? Our master hasn’t allowed you to leave yet, so how can you leave?"

Steward Loh’s icy voice echoed from somewhere, blocking Mo Yunchen, Qin Qin, and the other two’s path without them realizing.

As soon as Steward Loh finished speaking, Qi Tianshang had already grabbed his neck, yelling to Mo Yunchen and Qin Qin, "You go first."

Qin Qin and Mo Yunchen took one last glance at Qi Tianshang before moving towards the outside.

"You, as demons, teaming up with humans against our master won’t end well for you."

Steward Loh sneered coldly.

Meiji, not wanting to hear Steward Loh’s nonsense, let her demonic Qi envelop him, consuming the demonic Qi within his body. Yes, devour.
