CHAPTER 24: PREPARING FOR DEPARTURE

Waking up in the morning feeling both battered and fulfilled is a wonderful feeling and something that I think I could get used to, although if it weren’t for healing magic then it might have to be dialed back somewhat which just doesn’t sound all too fun.

I digress, managing to get up and am forced to ’fix’ my body returning myself to a more reasonable set of proportions. Seems that She really likes me with giant boobs hu I laugh to myself. I also note that my eyes haven’t changed at all since I tweaked them which is something I am quite glad about, I think I’m going to keep them this way for the foreseeable future.

I also have a thought and decide that I definitely need to get myself a mirror if we want to continue having the same kind of fun as the past couple nights. As I don’t want to be getting into a fight with an unfamiliar body. I decide that Kana can purchase that herself or she will have to stick will plain old vanilla me! Nodding at my decision I announce it to Kana who now she is back to her usual self blushes hard at my but announcement but I can see the inner conflict she is currently undergoing. Laughing to myself I get myself cleaned and and ready to go.

We have a quick breakfast and make our way over the the guild with Lana quickly dragging me into a shop and buying a decent sized mirror and handing it to me without being able to look me in the eyes. I can only shake my head and chuckle as I store it away. And continue our journey to the guild. We do make a couple more stops along the way with me our shading Kana to buy some basic herbs and spices to help enhance what we will be eating.

Arriving at the guild we make our way in and I instantly feel a familiar gaze focused on me. Glancing that way I lock gazes with Amanda. Staring at each other for a while she eventually looks away unconsciously bitting her lower lip whilst a flush creeps up her neck. Oh how I love making women blush around me, it is truly a delight!

Skipping my way over to her I lean over her desk making sure to emphasise my assets and I wait for her to look up from being mesmerised by my cleavage. It takes a while but she eventually looks up after I cough into my hand. "My eyes are up here you know?" I ask with a teasing smile.

She opens her mouth as if to reply only to close it a moment later, only to end up repeating this a couple of times until she formulates a response. "So am I to assume that you have at least partially accepted my proposal?" Her blunt respond really catching me off guard.

I manage to recover slightly before continuing on. "We agree to let you join us on our journey but I am not promising any will happen between us till we get to know each other better and what better way to do so than on a daring adventure!" Smoking I await her response .

Smiling at me with obvious relief in her eyes she replies. "That sounds more than acceptable. If you wouldn’t mind waiting a while I need to go inform my boss." Without waiting for a reply Amanda stands up and heads up towards the stairs.

Quickly checking on Kama she just shrugs. Feeling much the same myself I decide to investigate the jobs board to get a feel for the type of jobs on offer.

Seems that their are a couple of main types of jobs. You have your standard escort missions, monster hunting, collection of rare reagents and to my amusement I even spot one asking for the sewers to be cleaned up of vermin. Laughing softly to myself I swear that is one type of job I will never do!

It doesn’t take all too long for Amanda to return although she looks a touch pensive, seeing this I ask her. "Everything go okay?"

"Yeah it should be fine, apparently another team also left 2 days ago to do the same job so we might bump into them on the way." She replies.

"Hmm, well let’s hope that we either miss them or they return empty handed then eh?" I reply with a small smile. "So do you need to grab anything before we head out?" She nods at this and after a moment speaks up.

"Yes I have a pack back at my place, and I need to get out of my work clothes. Can we stop by before we head out?"

"Sure that’s no issue, lead they way." I say as I gestures towards the door. "By the way Amanda how do you fight? I’m mainly a mage with some shoddy mele skills and Kana is a solid scout and archer." I ask and explain our strengths.

"I like to stay mobile and use daggers, I have a weak affinity to shadows and a stronger affinity with blood so I can do some basic stealth and healing." She gives us a brief run down of her abilities.

"Ohh so your a rouge type." I pause and consider the blood affinity for a moment. "Well a blood assassin? Ohh kinda like a vampire then!" I laugh. Glancing back at Kana with a chuckle I miss the way that Amanda stiffens at that before relaxing and continuing on.

"You could say I’m a rouge yes." She curtly agrees. Nodding at that we continue on. It only takes a couple of minutes before we arrive at a more residential part of the town and stop in front of a relatively plain looking single story building. Stepping forward Amanda takes out a key and unlocks the door before opening it and turns towards us with a small smile. "Welcome to my home, want to come in and wait whilst I get my self sorted?" Seeing no reason to object we both follow her in and she shows us to a sofa where we plop ourselves down whilst she heads towards a room in the back.

Around 5 minutes later we hear that same door opening and I turn my head only to freeze as I get a good look at her. She is wearing tight fitting leather, and I mean very tight fitting leather armour. It huggs what turns out to be quite considerable curves on her medium height build. The chest piece is dark brown with an almost Matt finish not reflecting any light and extends down her arms ending in bracers and her hands have half gloves on whilst leaving her fingertips exposed. She has 2 daggers strapped to her lower back just above the skirt line. Her lower half is covered with a studded leather skirt and underneath is skin tight leather pants. Finished off with a pair of solid looking boots that reach up to just below her knees.

After staring for perhaps a touch too long I notice a faint blush creep up on her face. "Do I look weird?" She asks somewhat shyly.

Shaking my head I manage to replay with a mostly stable voice. "N-no you look great! I just wasn’t expecting the full leather outfit." I feel like Cotten has gotten into my mouth but my lower half quivers in delight at the sight before me. Shaking my self out of it I hastily stand up and say. "If you have a pack I can store it in my storage item if you want?"

She only shakes her head and indicates a ring on her left hand. "Thank you for the offer but I already have one. So don’t worry about that."

"Ok then I think we are all ready to go then?" I ask looking at the 2 very sexy women besides me. Seeing them both agree I make my way to the door.

Once outside me and kana step away while Amanda locks the door. "Hmm didn’t know you would react that way to seeing so much leather, guess I will need to purchase some soon then won’t I?" Kana whispers in my ear. I feel my legs go wobbly for a moment and I think I may have genuinely collapsed if she didn’t have a hold of my arms. "Hmm I’ll take that as a yes then." I can only nod vigorously to that.

As we make our way to the South side of the town we remain fairly quiet only sharing the odd word here and there until we finally reach the gate and are allowed to exit with no issues.

Walking past the farmland I decide to have a bit of fun and try to push my nature moulding into some of the fields nearby and try to encourage the crops to grow just a little bit healthier and stronger, not wanting to go overboard and cause a scent but just enough that it will likely confuse the farmers in the coming days and weeks.

We eventually make it past the farmland and climb our way up the first hill outside of town. I am once again greeted by the breathtaking view of the multicoloured grassland spread out before me, the twin suns shining down through the blue sky with a slight azure glow adding a hint of magic to the already magical landscape. Taking a deep breath I feel a wide smile grace my lips as I turn around to face my two traveling companions.

"Well let’s go on an adventure shall we?"

My moment of joy is rudely interrupted when Amanda speaks up in her deadpan tone. "Aren’t we already on that adventure?"

I only groan and roll my eyes at her before turning about and heading off.
