CHAPTER 71: SERVING THE MASTER (R18)

Lilliths words echoed in my mind as I tried to think through which would be best to do. On one hand even a regular reward would likely be great if some of the quality of the other items found by me and my friends is anything to go by. But it could equally give me something that realistically I don’t actually need or want.

As for the second option... well it was quite tempting indeed. I’d never heard of anything that could alter a boon and for the demon in front of me to say she could was impressive. But the fact that she could allow me to wear more than 3 items! Now that is something that I really would like, as much as I enjoy my dress it would be nice to be able to wear something else every once in a while, or alternatively just equip more magical items! Then we have the brand new boom.

I already have 3 boons which is apparently 3 more than most regular people will ever get in their entire lives. So to be able to add a new boon on top, well that is quite tempting. My only worry will be what exactly she will require me to do and what kind of new boon I will receive for my efforts.

But as much as I wanted to believe that it was a tough decision, in reality it was quite simple for me to decide what to do. Letting out a nervous sigh I look up and meet Lilliths eyes. "I-I’ll go with the second option, I’ll take your personal trial." I may have stuttered at the start but my voice was full of determination towards the end.

As I said that her lips curled up into a devilish grin and her eyes flash with barely constrained hunger. "Are you sure little one? Once the trial begins there will be no backing out."

I took a deep breath to center myself before I responded trying to sound as confident as I can. "I’m sure, just let me know what I need to do."

She lets out a light musical laugh at that which turns my legs to jelly and butterflies to flutter in my stomach. This woman is really too sensual!

"Very well then little pet. We shall begin your very own personalised trial." Saying so she waved her hand and a surge of power washed out from it. I felt myself being picked up by the power and found myself suspended in the air whilst the couch I was sat on was shoved back against the far wall. Saying so she settled me back down on my wobbly legs as I processed what exactly she seems to be meaning with that statement. Thankfully she doesn’t leave me guessing for very long. I struggle to stay standing but comply with her request as soon as I hear it, my dress begins to fade away as that mana that makes it up looses cohesion at my command. I shiver at that and watch as she slowly stands up and begins to approach me.

I notice for the first time her tail swishing behind her. It is of a similar colour to the rest of her skin just a touch darker, it is quite thin maybe the width of two of my wrists at the base and tapers off to be no wider than a finger right at the end. It is easily over a meter long and looks to be quite dexterous.

When she is close enough to touch me she slowly circles me, her eyes drinking up every inch of my exposed skin. She looks more like a predictor in that moment than anything else and I feel a flush creep up my chest and my breathing quickens in anticipation of what she will do next.

She extends one arm and gently caresses my side with the tip of her finger, its only then I notice that her nails are quite claw like with their extended and sharp points.
