CHAPTER 48: STOLE MY FIRST KISS

"I thought your grandmother wasn’t coming for another two weeks," Leia said, glancing at Kieran as they stood near the couch.

"Well, she surprised us," he replied with a small shrug.

Leia leaned in a little, her voice dropping to a whisper. "She sounded scary... I got chills. But even at her age, she looks so graceful."

Kieran chuckled. "Yeah, I agree."

"You should get some rest," he added warmly. "I’ll come by your room in a while."

Leia gave a soft hum of acknowledgment and headed upstairs. Once inside, she shut the door behind her.

Sinking into the chair by the window, she began to swing it gently back and forth, her fingers gripping the armrests.

"Who’s even spreading these ridiculous rumors about me being his Luna?" she muttered, frowning. "Can’t they see I hate Lucien?

Leia yawned, stretching her arms overhead. Deciding to take a short nap, she moved toward the bed, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door.

With a quiet sigh, she turned back and opened it, only to find Lucien standing there.

Her eyes narrowed instinctively. Without a word, she began to close the door, but Lucien pushed it open with ease. The force made her lose balance, and she stumbled back, until his arm shot out and caught her by the waist.

A teasing smirk tugged at Lucien’s lips.

Leia scowled at him, irritation flickering in her eyes.

"What did I even do to make you this upset?" he asked with mock innocence, then reached out and flicked the bridge of her nose.

Startled, she straightened with a glare. "Stop doing that. And stop those rumors about me. I don’t like it. I never consented to be your Luna. How many times do I have to say it?"

Lucien’s gaze grew more serious. "But you will be. One day, you’ll be the Luna of this pack."

He stepped forward.

Leia instinctively moved back until the back of her legs hit the bed. She slumped down and her both hands gripping the edges of the mattress.

"You should stop," she said firmly.

But Lucien didn’t listen to her. Instead, he parted her thighs with his knee before resting it on the mattress.

Leia threw her fist at him, but he caught it and pinned her down on the mattress while his face hovered above hers.

She raised her other hand to hit him again, but he caught that too, pinning both of her wrists above her head. His smirk returned, more devilish this time.

"Since Grandma is here, she’s going to test you in everything. In my absence, she won’t hesitate to punish you. So, you better be careful. Try to stay away from her sight most of the times," Lucien advised her, his hot breath fanning her lips while holding her gaze.

"You could’ve said it while standing four feet away from me too," Leia snapped at him.

"But you wouldn’t have listened. You only pay attention when I push your buttons," Lucien stated.

"You shouldn’t walk around in dresses that short, especially not with my pack watching," he said. "I didn’t say anything this morning, but I am now. Keep it in mind."

Leia’s lips parted in outrage. "You don’t get to tell me what to wear. If you’ve problem, then wear a blindfold. I will keep wearing what I like."

Lucien simply stared into her eyes.

"Let me go. I want to sleep," Leia muttered.

He released her wrists, but as she pushed him away, his foot slipped against the edge of the rug. He lost balance, and in a sudden, clumsy moment, his body fell forward, pressing into hers.

At the same time, their lips collided.

Leia’s eyes widened in shock as the unexpected kiss sent a jolt through her. Her hands went to his firm chest, ready to shove him off, but before she could, Lucien had already pushed himself up.

"You stole my first kiss," he said suddenly, pressing a hand lightly over her mouth. "You’re such a bad girl, Leia. How could you do that to me?"

Leia slapped his hand away. "Shut up! That was you! You did it on purpose!"

Lucien just grinned and shrugged as he stood to his full height. "No. You were the one, who was dying to kiss me."

Leia grabbed the nearest pillow and flung it at him, but he dodged it with a laugh.

"Next time, I’ll kiss you," he declared as he walked out of the room, leaving her flustered and fuming.

As Lucien approached the staircase, his phone rang. He took it out of from the pocket of his trousers and brought it to his ear.

"Okay. I’ll be there in ten minutes," Lucien replied and hung up the call.

As he reached at the bottom of stairs, he saw Ronan with a trolley bag, moving toward the entrance.

"Hey!" Lucien quickly reached him and stopped him placing his hand over his shoulder. "Where are you going?"

"Until Grandma is here, I’ve decided to stay in the hotel," Ronan said.

"You don’t have to. This is our home," Lucien replied.

"No. It was never mine," Ronan said. "I don’t want things to get awkward. Grandma will keep reminding me about the past, which will definitely irritate me," he muttered.

"I won’t let it happen," Lucien promised him.

"Have you ever been in my shoes?" Ronan questioned, his anger suddenly rising. "None of you can understand what I feel. If you need my help in anything, you can call me. Until then, I’ll stay away from this house," he asserted and walked out, dragging the trolley bag with him.

Lucien ran his fingers through his hair, feeling frustrated. ’Ronan, this time I’ll make sure Grandma properly apologizes to you,’ he pledged silently.

As he walked outside, his eyes followed the car in which Ronan drove away.

Lucien sat in the backseat of the waiting car. "Take me to the pack’s hospital," he ordered the driver, who stepped on the accelerator.
