CHAPTER 65: TO KISS AND RAVISH HER

Leia shockingly gazed at Elsa. She didn’t remember her name, but she knew that face well.

"She’s forcing..." Lucien murmured, now standing behind Leia as he gazed at Elsa with a look of disgust. The problem was that a strong Alpha like him was unable to throw Elsa away.

"You should leave," Leia asked Elsa.

"You don’t even love Alpha Lucien. Don’t come between us tonight," Elsa stated, walking closer to them. "You should be the one who must leave this cottage. I’m here to complete the bond," she added. Then, looking at Lucien, she continued, "Alpha, you couldn’t resist the scent of mine earlier."

"But I hate it. Something is fed to me which makes me unable to resist that pull," Lucien said, shaking his head. He inhaled Leia’s pheromones, calming himself down and at the same time, bringing more stability in his body.

"You should step away from me," Leia said, tilting her head and gazing at Lucien.

"I can’t," he refused, peering into her eyes. "I need your pheromones. They make me feel better."

Elsa clenched her fists tightly.

Leia gazed back at Elsa. "You might get punished from Lucien in the morning if you establish any forced relationship with him. It’s better for you to leave," she asserted.

"Alpha Lucien, I love you. Don’t send me away like that. You were unable to resist me. You even stood close to me and held my hands," Elsa stated.

"I never did that," Lucien stated. "Don’t put such allegations on me. You were the one, who hugged me even when I asked you to keep your distance from me," he affirmed. "Don’t make me kill you, Elsa. Get the hell out of my fight!"

With that, he finally let go of Leia, having absorbed enough of her pheromones to regain control. The haze that had clouded his mind lifted, and his Alpha instincts surged back to the surface.

Reaching out through the mindlink that had previously been blocked, Lucien summoned his Beta.

’Caleb,’ he commanded inwardly, ’come to the cottage. Now.’

In a flash of second, Caleb was there too. Leia was shocked seeing a beta could teleport too. However, it wasn’t the time to ask questions.

"Throw her in the dungeon!" Lucien ordered Caleb. Without hesitation, the beta did what he was asked to.

"Don’t do it, Alpha! I swear all I have is love for you. And I–I..." Elsa kept begging and shouting as Caleb dragged her out of the room, but was cut off in the middle.

"Shut that fucking mouth of yours! Caleb, if Mr. Harty comes by tell him to see me tomorrow," Lucien ordered him.

"Sure, Alpha!" Caleb said and dragged Elsa out of the cottage.

Leia watched Lucien, who took a few deep breaths before turning to her.

"You came at the right time, else anything could’ve happened. I didn’t want to mate with her. But my body was unable to resist the pull toward her," Lucien explained, his brows furrowing.

"But how could that happen? You feel pull toward someone if they’re your mate," Leia stated.

"But she’s not. If she were my mate, I wouldn’t have found her scent disgusting. I think my grandmother was behind it," Lucien said, running his hand through his hair.

Leia walked to him and gave him a surprised hug. She gently patted his back and spoke, "If it’s truly her, then you should take an appropriate action. But I must say Elsa has strong feelings toward you that she even agreed to forcefully do it."

As she pulled back, she looked into Lucien’s eyes. They still reflected the storm inside him.

"I called you so many times. But you didn’t answer my call," Lucien complained.

"My phone was on silent," Leia said, "I’m sorry."

"It’s fine."

"Wear your clothes," Leia said as she took a step back, giving him space to move. "Did you have a shower earlier?"

"Hmm. I suddenly started burning. I thought my rut has gone but I was wrong," Lucien admitted as he moved toward the cupboard and opened it. Taking out a loose shirt along with a trousers, he decided to change.

Leia was quick to turn away, her heart suddenly started racing for an unknown reason.

"I–I will go out," she then said in a low voice.

"I’ll be done soon. Just stay," Lucien said from behind her. "I hate the idea of another woman stepping into this room. Especially someone who isn’t you."

Leia stopped blinking upon hearing his words. Though she didn’t reply.

Behind her, she heard the soft thud of the cupboard door closing. Slowly, she turned to face him again.

"I’ll prepare dinner for us," she said gently.

"I’ll help," Lucien offered, already stepping toward her.

"You should rest," Leia replied with a small smile, trying to sound casual as she turned and walked toward the kitchen.

But he followed her quietly.

The reason was simple: he needed to be close to her. Her pheromones were the only thing that brought him clarity, easing the lingering haze in his mind. The closer he stayed, the more grounded he felt.

"You don’t listen, do you?" Leia muttered under her breath as she chopped spring onions with practiced ease. But the moment she lost focus, the knife nicked her finger.

"Ahh!" she winced, pulling her hand back instinctively. She lifted the finger toward her mouth—

—but Lucien was faster.

Before she could react, he took her hand gently and brought her finger to his lips, his mouth closing over the tiny wound. Leia’s breath caught in her throat as her entire body stiffened.

His eyes met hers, and he found them staring at him strangely. His urge to kiss and ravish her intensified. As soon as he lowered her finger, his lips found hers in a heated kiss.

His wolf rumbled in his chest and they both became happier when Leia kissed him back. She didn’t push away Lucien. They nibbled each other’s lips before parting them slowly.

Before Lucien could deepen the kiss, Leia placed her finger above his lips. "Let’s stop," she whispered.
