CHAPTER 68: BANISHED FROM THIS PACK

Lucien stepped into the mansion, his eyes immediately landing on his grandmother. She stood at the center of the grand foyer, briskly directing the servants about replacing the curtains in every occupied room.

"Leave the curtains in Grandmother’s rooms untouched," Lucien said firmly, making Azalea and the servants look in his direction. The servants bowed their heads, seeing their alpha back.

"Lucien, you are back!" Azalea exclaimed in joy. However, the command he just passed had left her in confusion. "What did you mean by keeping the curtains untouched in my room?"

She was more curious to know how his night spent with Elsa. She had been waiting for Elsa to appear since the early morning, but there was no trace of her.

Lucien noticed how she was checking the entrance of the door time and again as if anticipating for someone to enter.

"Grandma, you are leaving this place," Lucien stated, bringing a shock to her face. The house butler, standing nearby, tightly clasped his hands together in fear.

"What? Why?" The old lady frowned. "How can you ask me to leave my own house?" Azalea hit the cane against the marble floor and saw Lucien walking over to him with his hand inside his pockets.

"And why did Grandma ask Elsa to pounce on me last night? You even dared to feed me a portion through the house butler’s help. You thought I would never find out, didn’t you?" Lucien darkly gazed at his grandmother, his wolf growling within him.

"Wh-what?" Azalea stuttered, and her hands had turned cold.

"You tried to take advantage of my rut by sending a random woman to my cottage. I never consented for it. As the pack’s alpha, your punishment is to never enter this mansion. You can stay at the aunt’s place or wherever you want, but not here. That’s my order," Lucien pronounced.

As he brushed past his grandmother, Azalea caught her arm.

"How could you do this to your own grandmother? Aren’t you afraid of heaven? If your parents see it what will they think of you? They might be dead, but their wrath might fall upon you," Azalea said. "I did what is best for this pack and you."

"I don’t care about heaven," Lucien said coldly. "And you’re not the pack’s alpha, who took decision for my life. About my parents even if they are seeing, they know what their elder son is. I don’t like interference of anyone in my life. And you did that. You broke the trust first, Grandma. So, bear your punishment," he affirmed and let go of her hand from his arm.

"Make the arrangements for my grandmother’s departure. By the time I will come out of my room for the breakfast, I shouldn’t see her here," Lucien ordered the house butler, who kept his head low.

Without batting another glance to his grandmother, Lucien went to his room.

"Lucien, this isn’t how you should treat your elders! How can you become such a heartless person," the old lady shouted at her grandson, but Lucien didn’t stop.

Lucien shut the door behind him and took out the phone from his pocket.

"Ronan, where are you?"

"In the hotel, why?" Ronan answered, bringing the spoon closer to his mouth.

"Come home. I’ve returned. Also, grandma will never come to this mansion anymore," Lucien said and hung up the call.

Ronan stared at the screen and lowered the spoon to the bowl. "What did he do?" He murmured.

Benjamin was summoned in the afternoon. As he stepped into the mansion, he found Lucien seated on the couch. Bowing respectfully, Benjamin greeted him.

"Please, Alpha, forgive my daughter. I’m willing to atone for her mistake," he pleaded, joining his hands in desperation.

Lucien looked at him calmly. "You need not bear the weight of your daughter’s wrongdoing," he said in a calm tone.

Benjamin studied the Alpha’s expression, trying to decipher the thoughts hidden behind those unreadable eyes.

"Please take a seat," Lucien said.

Benjamin sat down across from him. "If I knew my daughter would come to your cottage, I wouldn’t have let her step out of my house. Alpha, but she did it on Madam Azalea’s call," he affirmed.

"I know," Lucien said. "I have punished my grandmother already."

Benjamin gulped thinking now it was Elsa’s turn.

"Caleb, bring Elsa here," Lucien ordered his beta.

A few seconds later, Elsa was there in the living room. Her eyes were swollen and her face looked pale. "Dad," she whispered as Benjamin stood up from his place.

"Your father begged me. Is this what you wanted?" Lucien asked, not looking at her. That face disgusted him. "The day I had dinner with you two, I did reveal my Luna to you both. Still, Miss Harty schemed with my grandmother and tried to mate with me."

"It was not intentional, Alpha. Please-please forgive me," Elsa pleaded.

"There’s no forgiveness for infuriating me," Lucien stated. "When I didn’t leave my grandmother without any punishment, then what you are." Those deep words struck Elsa like a thunderbolt and she got on her knees.

"Alpha, please don’t punish me to death. I swear I will never even come in front of you," Elsa stated while keeping her head low.

"I can’t punish you to death because Mr. Harty was my father’s best friend. For the sake of their friendship, I can’t show such cruelty to his daughter," Lucien affirmed.

Elsa felt relieved to hear that. She looked up with a look of gratitude. "Thank you, Alpha," Elsa said.

Lucien chuckled at her response.

"You are banished from this pack. You’ll no longer be a part of the Darkmoor Pack. That’s your punishment, Miss Harty," Lucien finally announced.

Benjamin shook his head as his eyes filled with tears. But what he could even say before their alpha. At least, he was sparing the life of his daughter.

"But I–I did it on Alpha’s grandmother’s order. Please don’t do this to me!" Elsa screamed when Lucien met her eyes.

The next instant, he was in front of him, his hand casually resting on his knee and he glared into her eyes. "Then, you should embrace yourself for the death sentence, Elsa. What you did last night has made me so mad that I want to wipe your existence from this planet."
