Marked By Destiny: Claimed By Three Alpha Brothers
Chapter 95: Rescuing Leia
CHAPTER 95: RESCUING LEIA
Lucien’s called back Leia, but it turned out to be switched off.
Fortunately, he had arrived outside the mansion. But the question was how to find Leia. Her scent... He never detected it. And he never marked her. Panic filled his mind and he ordered Caleb to search for Leia immediately.
"But from where? We have no idea where is Leia," Caleb said with a worried tone.
Lucien called Kieran as according to the house butler she left with him in the morning. He called Kieran, but he didn’t answer the call.
"Damnit!"
Just then, the house butler stepped forward, his expression lighting up with a sudden recollection.
"Alpha, Miss Leia left in a car this morning. Perhaps you could track it. The vehicle might have a GPS."
"The GPS tracker," Lucien murmured, realization dawning fast. He pulled out his phone and tapped into the connected device settings. Before handing her the keys, he’d made sure to sync her car’s GPS to his own device.
His eyes narrowed as he studied the map.
"She was heading back home," Lucien muttered, watching the red dot pulse steadily on the screen.
Caleb stepped closer, peering at the phone. "That’s not too far."
"I got it," Lucien said sharply, lowering the phone. He placed a firm hand on Caleb’s shoulder.
Without wasting another second, he teleported straight to the location, to where Leia’s car had last been tracked, praying he wasn’t too late.
"What the hell...?" Caleb muttered, his eyes widening as they came upon the wrecked car. "Why is it completely destroyed?"
Lucien didn’t respond right away, his senses had already locked onto something else. He moved a few steps forward, sniffing the air.
"Her scent," he murmured, eyes narrowing. He turned sharply toward the edge of the forest. "Leia ran that way."
Without hesitation, Lucien shifted into his wolf form. Caleb followed suit, transforming and bounding after him into the thick woods.
As they raced through the trees, Lucien’s senses sharpened. The vibrations under his paws told him he wasn’t just following Leia.
There was another wolf nearby. And it wasn’t friendly.
’Theron, we need to be faster,’ Lucien urged his wolf, the urgency spiking in his voice.
Responding to the call, his body surged with energy, blurring into motion.
~~~~
Meanwhile, Leia could no longer move. Her legs gave out beneath her, her body trembling as pain throbbed through every limb. She felt trapped, cornered with nowhere left to run.
The snarling wolf took a step toward her, its canines bared and eyes glowing with rage. Just when Leia braced herself for the final blow... he suddenly froze.
Confusion flickered across her face. ’Why did he stop?’
Then, she felt the presence of more wolves behind her. Her ocean-blue eyes spotted Lucien’s black wolf and only then, Leia felt at ease. Her eyes turned misty as if she would cry right there.
Theron saw Zei in her wolf form for the second time and he had to admit, her wolf was magnificent and adorable.
Sensing that the wolf, who attacked Leia was escaping, Lucien ran after him, mindlinking with Caleb, ’Stay close to Leia and call for the warriors.’
Lucien chased the wolf and hit him from behind. The wolf lost his balance and ended up hitting a giant stone near a tall tree. A whimper escaped the wolf’s mouth. He looked around, finding a chance to flee. If Lucien would catch him, it would not end nicely.
The two wolves clashed against each other. Lucien’s wolf was faster and more lethal in attack. Within minutes, he brought the other wolf to the ground, in a pool of blood.
The wolf changed into his human firm, coughing blood while attempting to stand up.
Lucien, too changed back and his red eyes gleamed at the mysterious man.
"Who sent you?" Lucien asked, grabbing the guy from his throat. "How dare you lay a hand on my woman? Do you even realize who you’re dealing with?"
The man collected the soil from the ground in his hand and threw it at Lucien’s face.
"Agh!" Lucien cried in pain, his eyes burning as he quickly took a few steps back while staggering. That was the right chance and the man fled from there after changing back into a wolf.
"Fuck!" Lucien cursed under his breath while rubbing and opening his eyes. He looked ahead, but the man was no longer in his sight. It boiled Lucien’s blood. No one could escape his territory by creating such a chaos.
However, Leia demanded his attention for now. He rushed back to Leia and Caleb.
’I want to shift... I feel weak,’ Leia mindlinked with Lucien.
Lucien glanced at Caleb. "Go and ask the warriors to search the forest. I’ll bring Leia," he instructed the beta.
Caleb nodded and ran away, leaving both of them alone.
Lucien was quick to take off his blazer and uncuffed his shirt’s sleeves. Zei had settled on the ground, her eyes dropped to the floor.
As Lucien removed his shirt, he said, "Leia, change back. You can wear these. I’ll teleport you right into your room, then."
Then, he turned his back at Leia, who transformed finally. Putting on his white shirt, Leia closed some of its button before grabbing the blazer.
"I’m done," Leia whispered, feeling embarassed since she had nothing to wear down. She merely covered her lower body by wrapping the blazer around her.
Lucien saw the bruises on her legs and even a wound, which was bleeding. Moving closer, he carried Leia in his arms and disappeared.
Upon landing in her room, he gently laid Leia on the bed. He grasped her right leg and saw the injury on it.
"I’ll call the doctor and also send a maid to help you wear something more comfortable," Lucien said. He looked up at her, looking at her face. It was covered in dirt and so were her hair. Moving closer, Lucien wiped off the dirt from her cheeks and brushed her hair using his fingers.
Leia hugged him, her hands wrapping around him. "I thought I would die," she murmured with trembling lips.
