Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle'
Chapter 472: One Night of Passion
CHAPTER 472: ONE NIGHT OF PASSION
Then isn’t Sophia walking straight into the lion’s den?!
Although Jack had just realized Sophia was actually Selina, Mr. Reid had already been drugged, and the door couldn’t be opened from the outside. There was no way to escape if things went wrong.
Jack silently prayed for Selina in his heart. Madam, please let your strength hold up...
...
Inside the guest suite.
It was a hotel suite with three rooms and a shared living room.
Logan’s whole body burned with heat. His mind was hazy as he clenched his jaw and walked into the bathroom. Cold water pelted his skin, but it didn’t do a thing to ease the fire surging inside him.
Suddenly, there was a noise at the door—someone had come in.
His throat tightened, brows furrowing with annoyance. "Get out," he growled.
Jack would’ve followed his command immediately, so whoever had just come in—it wasn’t Jack.
Even though the fake Selina had passed out, there was no way the Carter Family would stop there. Maybe they’d even send in another woman.
The footsteps drew closer. Through the frosted bathroom glass, Logan caught the blurry silhouette of someone outside.
The effect of the drug made his pupils dilated and his fists clenched so tight they trembled. Heat pulsed beneath his skin.
If the Carter Family thought they could use this drug to force him into submission—they were dead wrong.
Logan took a deep breath and snapped his eyes shut. "I said get out."
The footsteps halted.
Then suddenly, they picked up again—faster and more urgent.
He was already close to snapping. What the hell did this woman think she was doing?
"If you don’t leave right now, I swear—"
"Logan."
A soft voice cut through the sound of the shower. Gentle. Concerned.
Logan thought he might be hallucinating.
It sounded like Selina.
The water streaming down couldn’t drown out her voice as it reached his ears.
...
The moment Selina slipped through the door, it slammed shut behind her. She turned instinctively and saw that it was a smart lock—only Logan’s fingerprint could open it from inside.
Now that she was in... there was no getting back out.
Selina bit her lip. "Logan?"
The suite was silent. No answer.
She remembered the unconscious fake Selina lying by Jack’s side and felt a wave of dread.
She didn’t hesitate—rushing forward.
She reached the master bedroom. Still empty.
"Logan?" she called again, more anxious now.
Then she heard it—running water.
The bathroom?
Logan was taking a cold shower?
There was only one reason he’d do that in April.
Selina’s heart skipped. She pivoted and hurried toward the bathroom.
She stopped dead in her tracks.
The master bedroom was nearly a hundred square meters. The bathroom took up a significant portion—and it was walled in with frosted glass.
Clearly, the hotel had assumed couples would be staying there.
She could see his silhouette through the haze—not clearly, but enough.
And it was that not-quite-clear view, combined with the sound of water hitting skin, that made the moment feel... charged.
The man’s tall, lean frame was visible through the blur. She could even make out some of his movements.
Selina’s cheeks flushed. "Logan..."
"Get out," came the raspy voice from inside.
She knew instantly—he’d been drugged.
"I’m warning you. Leave now, or deal with the consequences—"
"And what consequences would Mr. Reid like me to deal with?"
In that instant, their eyes met through the misty glass—his eyes red and blazing, locking directly with hers.
Logan was wearing only a towel, revealing his toned abs and chest.
Selina reached out to touch his wrist, and her heart skipped a beat—the drug had kicked in. Judging by his condition...
With all the bizarre chemicals Jacob had at his disposal, Selina couldn’t help but worry. If this kind of drug wasn’t released from the body, could it cause serious damage?
Her biggest fear was that the toxins in Logan’s system might do real harm. She had to help him—fast.
Selina swallowed hard.
"I’ll help you."
Logan clearly hadn’t expected her to show up. He froze for three full seconds before turning away with difficulty.
"...Get out."
Selina blinked.
"You’re telling me to leave?"
Realizing the door was locked and only his fingerprint could open it, Logan tried to get up. His voice was painfully hoarse.
"I’ll unlock the door."
Selina stared at him, speechless.
She had just offered to help, and he wanted her gone? How was he holding himself back?
Maybe her gaze was too intense, because Logan suddenly paused mid-step. He tensed up, veins bulging as he gritted his teeth.
"Selina. Go."
But Selina wasn’t going anywhere. Especially not now.
"I’m not leaving. Look at you—I..."
"Mmnh..." Logan groaned through clenched teeth. A surge of heat hit his brain so hard he could barely control himself. His breathing was ragged as he forced the words out: "Mrs. Reid, if you don’t leave..."
"I already said I’m not—"
"Then you won’t be able to."
Logan turned around, his gaze sharp as a predator’s. It locked onto hers with so much intensity that Selina felt like he might devour her whole.
His eyes burned. And with that one sentence—"Then you won’t be able to"—Selina’s heart skipped.
Wait. Hold on.
Could she even survive this...?
...
Two hours later.
Selina’s legs were so weak she couldn’t lift them.
"Logan... enough... that’s enough..."
Three hours later.
Her cries echoed from the bathroom. Logan had completely broken her down.
She tried to crawl away, barely making it a few steps before he pulled her back in again...
Right before she passed out, her dazed thoughts circled one regret:
She was wrong. She knew she was wrong.
When Logan said she wouldn’t be able to leave—he meant it.
...
The next morning.
Warm sunlight spilled over her skin. Selina lifted a hand to shield her eyes and slowly opened them.
Her body ached in ways she couldn’t describe. It was only 7 AM.
She tried to sit up to get dressed, but the moment she pushed herself up, the soreness in her waist and legs hit her like a wave, and she collapsed back onto the bed.
And just her luck—she fell right into Logan’s arms.
"Can’t get up?" Logan’s voice was raspy, but calm—none of the fire from last night remained.
Selina flushed crimson.
"You’ve got some nerve asking me that."
Why was her body wrecked? Why couldn’t she stand? Obviously because of him.
She’d said "no more" so many times last night. But Logan had gripped her waist like he was afraid she’d vanish, not letting her get away for even a second.
And the worst part? His drug had clearly worn off halfway through—but he still hadn’t stopped.
The more Selina thought about it, the angrier she got. She flopped back onto the bed, fuming.
"Take me back."
She was still Sophia to everyone else. If someone found her in Logan’s bed like this, there’d be no explaining it.
Logan swallowed hard and turned his gaze away, holding back.
"Alright."
Beep. Beep. Beep...
Suddenly, Selina’s phone rang.
She grabbed it lazily—then her eyes darkened when she saw the caller ID.
