CHAPTER 232: CAMPUS COUPLE

"HYUNG, you want to return to school next semester?"

"Yes, I’m thinking about it," Sohee said while crocheting little hats for Kim Woochul and Kim Woosung. It was a hobby that he developed since he had free time now. "I’m no longer breastfeeding, so Woochul and Woosung won’t need me by their side all the time."

Unfortunately, one year was his limit.

He couldn’t produce breastmilk anymore.

It’s natural for male Omegas to completely stop producing breastmilk after a year of breastfeeding.

This time, the twins were being fed infant formula.

"Will that be alright, yeobo?" Sohee asked hesitantly. He wasn’t sure what Kim Heedo would think about his decision to return to school. So, he was quite nervous. "I know the twins are still too young for me to leave their side already. But that’s why I want to graduate the soonest."

"Hyung, calm down," Kim Heedo said while gently rubbing Sohee’s back. "I’m not mad. So, why are you nervous?"

"I don’t want you to think that I’m an irresponsible mother."

"There’s no way I’d think about you that way, Hyung."

"But I’m already talking about going back to school when our babies had just turned one..."

"I’m sure Hyung has a reason," Kim Heedo said encouragingly. "I’m listening, Hyung. And I won’t go anywhere, so please take your time."

That was reassuring.

Sohee took a deep breath, and then he explained slowly since Kim Heedo assured him that he was waiting patiently. "I thought I should finish school before Woochul and Woosung reach the age where we have to send them to preschool. After all, I want to be there for them when they get that big already."

"That makes sense to me, Hyung."

Whew.

That was a relief.

"But even if I return to school, I promise that I’ll be careful when choosing my classes. I’ll make sure that my schedule will still allow me to spend enough time with our kids," Sohee explained. "I just really want to get school out of the way. But I’m aware that it’s weird."

"Why is it weird, Hyung?"

"It just makes more sense to stay with the babies while they don’t need to go to school yet. I mean, it will be more convenient if I return to school once they start attending preschool, right? After all, most mothers stay with their babies when they’re still small."

"That’s true, but you don’t have to do what other mothers do, Hyung."

"Yeobo, I can’t help but feel like I’m being a bad mother."

"Hyung, I know how much you love Woochul and Woosung. And that’s one thing I will never ever question," Kim Heedo said, holding Sohee’s hand and squeezing it gently. "Before Hyung is Woochul and Woosung’s mother, Hyung is Park Sohee first. You don’t have to lose your identity just because you became a mother, Hyung. Your world doesn’t have to revolve around our babies alone."

Aww.

Sohee needed to hear those words badly, and he was glad that he heard them from Kim Heedo— the person he didn’t want to disappoint the most.

I’m really lucky with my husband.

"So, if Hyung wants to return to school next semester, then do it," Kim Heedo said encouragingly. "And who says the twins will be left alone? I’m here, Hyung. You didn’t forget that I’m also the twins’ father, did you?"

Sohee chuckled at Kim Heedo’s whining. "Of course, I didn’t."

"I’ll graduate first before Hyung, so leave the twins to me," Kim Heedo said gently. "If I tell Appa that I want to focus on taking care of our sons, I’m sure he’ll allow me to lessen my workload."

Right.

Kim Heedo returned to school first, and then he started his successor training.

He’s busy, but he’s making time to accommodate my selfish wish.

"Hyung, we’re a team, remember?" Kim Heedo reminded Sohee with a comforting smile on his face. "You don’t have to carry the burden of raising the twins— I’m here, and I’ll always be here for you and our family."

Aww.

That completely took off the heavy weight in Sohee’s chest.

He could finally breathe again.

I still feel bad that I chose to return to school instead of devoting myself to my sons, but Kim Heedo is right— I’m not the only one who’s supposed to raise our babies.

That thought was really comforting.

"Thank you, yeobo," Sohee said, hugging Kim Heedo tight. "Thank you for being supportive."

"You’re welcome, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, hugging him back. "So, are we going back to being a C.C?"

***

PFFT.

Sohee felt strange after seeing his reflection in the mirror of the building where he was walking by.

Well, he wasn’t alone.

Kim Heedo was walking next to him while holding his hand— and both of them were wearing their university jackets.

Since they had different majors, their jackets were also in different colors.

Mine is yellow while Heedo’s jacket is blue.

"Hyung, look at where you’re walking," Kim Heedo scolded him gently. "Why do you keep looking at your reflection? You’re still the prettiest here~"

Sohee smacked his husband’s arm playfully, and Kim Heedo just laughed it off. "It just feels weird to the two of us wearing university jackets. It makes me feel that we’ve become younger."

Especially Kim Heedo.

My husband wears office suits most of the days, so he suddenly looks younger in my eyes now that he’s wearing a university jacket.

"Hyung, we are still young."

Right.

"I still feel like we’ve gone back in time," Sohee said, laughing softly. "Like, we’re still dating and not yet married. It kinda feels exciting to be back."

"Then if Hyung wants to feel even younger..." Kim Heedo trailed off on purpose, and then he leaned down and whispered in his ear. "Should we do something naughty that we didn’t get to do before?"

"What are you talking about?"

"We haven’t had sex at school yet, Hyung."

"YAH!"

It wasn’t Sohee who yelled that loudly, even though he really wanted to smack Kim Heedo at the back of his head for being naughty.

That voice sounds familiar.

When Sohee lifted his head, he saw two familiar faces: Baek Jeho running after Cho Euntak.

Yes, two grown men— Alphas, at that— were having a chase down.

Are they kids?

Kim Heedo, who was also watching the "scene," scoffed. "Do they think they’re shooting a youth film?"

Pfft.

His husband was right, though.

Sohee couldn’t help but smile and nod in agreement. "Yes, they look like they’re shooting a drama."

I can’t wait to listen to Cho Euntak’s latest update on his love life.
