CHAPTER 532: IRIK ABRAHAM

Fourth Volume - Irik Abraham

...

The sky was bright blue, the yellow wheel of fire hung high above, and some white clouds floated lazily in the sky.

It was absolutely perfect weather with some wind gently breezing over the landscape that helped to get rid of some of the heat.

Rolling through a narrow pass that went between two mountains, a wagon made its way towards the city nestled at the base of the mountain.

The mountain surrounded it from all sides, and there was only one entrance to the city—it was through the narrow pass.

The wagon was pulled by two powerful-looking horses, controlled by a skilled driver who navigated the winding path with ease, and inside sat the passengers, about ten of them.

Through the flap at the back, wind whistled through, carrying the scent of pine trees and fresh air that was refreshing after the stuffy interior of the crowded wagon.

"The city of Rodero, at last! I’ve traveled across the Wunderland Country just to come here in search of grand adventure!"

An excited-sounding man said with a bright smile—he was sitting in the middle of the wagon, passengers pressed tightly around him—and they curiously looked at him.

"I am not much of a martial artist, but I woke up about two months ago, bored of my life. I was an ordinary worker at a small accounting firm, and I went to work, to the store, and back home in a never-ending cycle of monotony.

"And then, I woke up and decided to change my life. I sold my house and all my belongings and just had a change of clothes and all the money I’ve saved up until now.

"I hopped on the road and walked till I couldn’t anymore. Then I hitchhiked my way across the country until I was here!"

The excited-sounding man said with a wide grin on his face.

He didn’t mention that he left his wife and children behind.

"People come to Rodero for grand adventures and new beginnings, leaving behind their past lives. You’re not the only one..."

A man with a thick beard chimed in—he looked like he had been through quite a lot.

"This is not your first time in Rodero, is it?"

The excited-sounding man asked.

"No, it’s not. I’ve been here many times before."

The thick-bearded man said, leaned back against the wall of the wagon with a deep look, and sighed heavily.

While he also abandoned his past life, he also started to feel homesick and visited his parents, so he was just now returning from that trip.

However, while he was visiting his parents, he couldn’t forget Rodero and all the magic that city held.

Sitting at the back of the wagon, a hat-wearing young man pushed the brim up and gazed at the other passengers.

Under the brim of the hat, his deep, beautiful-looking gray eyes shone, and in that moment, he took off his hat, ruffled his gray hair, and put his hat back on.

"What’s your name? You don’t look like a Wunderland citizen, as people of this country have tanned skin, and you have quite a pale complexion."

A mature woman asked while sitting across from the gray-haired young man and felt quite curious about his past.

It wasn’t that rare to see young men and women coming here in search of adventure, but those people always had a great story to tell.

"Irik... Irik Abraham."

Kiernan said, and put his hat back off—it was a small-brimmed hat that slightly looked like a fedora.

His gray hair was loose and fell into his face—he decided to dye it gray from his previous black hair—it was because he didn’t want anyone to recognize him as Kiernan Hunter.

Since the Junior Martial Arts Championship, his fame had gone past the borders of the New Rakuya and had reached the consciousness of the global audience.

In the minds of other younger generation martial artists, he was now somewhat of a legend, a person of rival talent and skill that they aspired to surpass.

Thus, he changed his hair and took on an alias—Irik Abraham—and he even managed to get his hands on a new identity card with this new name.

Martial Order, after the experience in the God Island, had grown closer, and the app had become much busier.

Thus, he was able to easily get his hands on an identity card with the help of a Craze-named person in the app—he was a student of the Detective—and was apparently extremely talented in forging identity cards.

"Irik Abraham... My name’s Willow; what’s your story? Everyone has a story over here; let’s hear yours."

Willow asked with a smile.

She had laid-back brown hair, a slight bump in her nose, and gentle-looking eyes—she also had a bump in her stomach—she was clearly pregnant, but in the early stages.

"I am sorry, but I don’t have the habit of telling my life story to strangers, and either way, it’s a pretty boring one, I would say."

Kiernan said and pushed the hat back on.

"You being so mysterious about it makes me even more interested, but do not worry, I won’t keep asking about it if you don’t want to tell."

Willow said with a smile and started speaking with the person next to her—she again asked about the name and the story—that person didn’t mind sharing.

Through the flap of the wagon, some of the passengers noticed that the wagon rolled out of the narrow path, and the sound of the city came to their ears.

They’ve arrived at Rodero!

Rolling through the city, which looked medieval with its cobblestone streets and towering stone buildings, the passengers looked with amazement.

The streets were packed with people going about—the roadside stalls were overflowing with colorful fruits and vegetables—and the air was filled with the smell of spices and fresh bread.

"Hey, give it back!"

A shop owner chased after a cheeky-looking child, who had just grabbed an apple from his stand, and with his small stature, he was easily able to sneak away in the crowd.

It was a pretty chaotic sight.

At that moment, the wagon came to a complete stop, and the passengers hopped out at the sight of the beautiful city around them.
