CHAPTER 533: FAYE ABRAHAM

With bag in hand, Kiernan walked down a hallway of an inn and looked at the room number through his phone.

"18... 18..."

He eventually found the room, with the number 18 etched into the wooden door, and he then knocked on it twice.

"Yip... yip..."

In the bag, a whimper of a dog sounded, and Kiernan just shushed the dog.

"Just a moment, Fen..."

He whispered.

At that moment, the wooden door opened, a hand stuck out, grabbed Kiernan by the collar, and pulled him in forcefully.

While still being pulled, his lips soon made contact with another set of lips, which were pink, and soft.

With a smile, Aoi pulled out of the passionate kiss, blinked innocently, and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Well, here I am~ I honestly didn’t expect you to invite me to go to some mountain city with you, but I am not complaining~"

With a wry smile, Kiernan put the bag on the ground, and it started shaking violently as if something inside was trying to get out.

"Is it him? Oh my god!"

Aoi excitedly unzipped the bag and peeked inside to see a handsome dark-furred creature staring back at her with beady eyes.

With a bark, Fen jumped out of the bag into Aoi’s arms and started licking her face while throwing a stinky eye towards Kiernan.

It clearly didn’t enjoy being stuck in the bag for many hours at times, but it was either that or inside the inventory.

He didn’t know how it would be in the inventory for the four-legged Fen, and he didn’t really want to risk it being harmful to his companion.

"He is so pretty!"

Aoi ruffled Fen’s soft, fluffy fur, and he nuzzled her hand affectionately.

After putting his hat hanging from a rack, Kiernan walked to the window, opened it slightly to let in the fresh air, and exclaimed.

The vastness of the city view took his breath, and the surrounding mountains were quite a sight to behold.

It was impossible to see the world beyond the city because of the mountains blocking the view, but he didn’t mind it, as it made it feel like they were in another world altogether.

"When did you arrive?"

Kiernan asked.

"Two days ago. I had some time to check out the city, and did you know that there is a thing called Adventure Dungeon, where the citizens of the city can go and find all kinds of treasure and secrets?

"I thought about going there, but in the end, I wanted to go there with you. But I’ve also heard that it is quite a dangerous place."

Aoi said while touching her chin, the ring on her finger sparkling.

"Adventure Dungeon is one of the reasons why I wanted to come here. It’s a good place to grow stronger and hone as a martial artist."

Kiernan thought.

The Adventure Dungeon was a dangerous place, as it had some dangerous creatures hiding there—it was good because it was legal to kill them—and thus it was the perfect place for him to farm some experience points!

It took him a while to find a place like that, as he searched through the internet, but eventually, he found out about this place.

It helped that Wunderland was the headquarters of Wunderkind, a team from the World Fighting League, and thus it was a popular tier one country.

With the help of that knowledge, he found out about Rodero, as it was a place where members of Wunderkind’s junior team usually come to train.

"By the way, gray hair? It suits you..."

Aoi said with a blush, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gave him a gentle hug while also looking out of the window.

"You talked about using aliases over here? Do you have mine ready?"

She asked.

"I do."

From his pocket, Kiernan pulled out another identity card, and gave it to her with a small smile on his face.

She looked at the name and said.

"Faye Abraham, and it shows that I am married to someone named Irik Abraham? Who is that?"

She asked curiously.

At that moment, Kiernan showed her his own identity card—Irik Abraham’s card—and her lips curled into a smile.

"Oh? We’re married?"

She turned to him and kissed him on the cheek.

"How did your grandfather take the news of you coming with me?"

Kiernan asked curiously.

"He was slightly opposed at first... He is just worried about my safety, but in the end, I managed to convince him.

"It’s not like we’re going to a dangerous place, I told him, as Wunderland is widely considered a very safe country.

"However, in the end we went to the most dangerous place in Wunderland, hehe."

She giggled.

Kiernan chuckled and then checked out the inn room—it had a spacious living room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom.

It had two rooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a smaller bed tucked in the corner, a desk under a window, and a wardrobe.

"We’ll sleep together, yeah? So that one room will be vacant, and we can make it into a training room or something."

She said.

"Hmm... I do already have an idea for what I’ll be using it for. I mentioned to you that I am also trying to learn Flow State, yeah?"

He asked.

"Ah, yes."

She nodded.

"I can make that into my meditation room. However, when I am using it, I need absolute privacy; I am sure you understand.

"Flow State is so bothersome to learn, but all I need to do is somehow activate it for the second time, so it will be automatic after that."

Kiernan said.

"I know~ I will be out in the town or something while you’re doing your meditation practice so I won’t disturb you."

She said with a smile and looked excitedly around their temporary residence.

It really felt like they were a newlywedded couple who were now living together, and it made her heart blossom with happiness.

When she received the text message from Kiernan, asking her to come with him, she was overcome with joy.

She’d been pretty lonely back in the Dusk Town, but now, she felt like nothing could ruin her joy.
