Chapter 625: Rooftop Battle
Chapter 625: Rooftop Battle
The cameras were placed all around the roof, and there were several drones flying about, capturing the sight of Arazimir, and Kiernan.
When they were standing, staring at each other, it made everyone remember them from the photograph in the newspaper.
It was almost the identical picture, but this time around, Kiernan seemed taller than before, and he indeed was.
His height. The muscle volume and tone. It all had changed.
It was because he was now Martial King, and he had shed the last bit of humanity that he had.
Now he was better. Stronger. Greater in every way.
This was a realm that even his Earth self couldn’t reach, as it simply wasn’t possible for earthlings.
“Time to continue…”
Arazimir said. He moved. It was so quick and instant that he appeared right in front of Kiernan in less time than it took a person to blink.
Around the world, those watching the match happened to blink as quickly as possible, as they didn’t want to miss any action, but still happened to miss Arazimir’s movement.
In one moment, he was talking. The next moment he was in front of Kiernan.
Arazimir’s punch landed on Kiernan’s arms-crossed guard. The air around them exploded. The roof tiles got blown away by the force of the impact.
“Mastered Iron Style, Crosscut!”
Kiernan chopped his arms across Arazimir’s chest. Two bloody slashes appeared on Arazimir’s torso.
It was bleeding profusely.
Arazimir responded with a left cross—it was quick and deadly—but it was redirected by Kiernan’s Rendering Edge.
“Your martial arts is better than mine. I acknowledge that. Yet, you’re no match for me!”
Arazimir said with a smile.
In that moment, his long red hair that looked like a bloody mane blew in the wind behind him like a cape.
Blood Lion, Hybrid Form, Speed Demon!
With his legs turning thinner and longer, his muscles shrank in size. Arms turned thin, fingers turned long, and his face elongated into a snout.
He was an extremely handsome young man, but in this moment, he started to look more like a beast than a person.
Arazimir went through Kiernan. His speed was otherworldly, and he appeared at the other end of the castle roof in less than a second.
It didn’t even take half of a second. It was just instant.
“Iron Human…”
Kiernan prepared for his move with Iron Human. It made his body as strong as steel. However, it just wasn’t enough to completely defend against that.
Cuts appeared across Kiernan’s body.
Those watching rubbed their eyes. They couldn’t see Arazimir move, and they desperately tried to.
This was why the professional fighting leagues had their matches shown in slow motion instead of real speed.
Still, that slow motion still looked incredibly quick to an ordinary person.
Those who went to watch the professionals fight in person rarely were even able to see them fight, as they moved so quickly.
One had to be an extremely powerful martial artist to see them.
“…He parried several of Arazimir’s strikes.”
Xerxus said.
“…Yep.”
Imperius said.
With both of them being in the Immortal Stage, they, of course, could see Arazimir’s movements easily.
It even seemed slow to their eyes, and they were able to see Kiernan parry several of Arazimir’s quick slashing attacks.
He couldn’t parry them all, but it was still amazing.
Most of the people thought that Kiernan was completely helpless against that speed, but they were wrong.
Arazimir was right in front of him. He had even less time to react than those watching. Yet, he was still able to defend.
It was amazing!
“…You’re indeed good!”
Arazimir said with a grin.
He then made his move. Speed Demon in him awakened, and he attacked with speed that those watching could never fathom.
Kiernan moved as well. He matched Arazimir’s speed, but he was slightly lagging behind.
The two clashed. Explosions of power erupted with each strike. The castle roof shook, and the sea raged around them in response to the powerful battle.
“Mastered Iron Smash, Iron Smash Storm!”
Thousands of punches. All strong enough to shatter mountains. Came crashing down at Arazimir, and he weaved through like a military man dodging enemy fire.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The blood claws of Arazimir ripped through the air. Every falling raindrop got cut. It seemed impossible to dodge them all.
Kiernan’s eyes turned dark like voids. The smoke started pouring out of his body. An extreme state of focus and concentration!
Flow State!
“Mastered Iron Style, Void Chop!”
The chopping hand broke through space itself. It sliced through Arazimir’s blood claws and cut through him like a hot knife through butter.
Arazimir’s eyes shook, and his crimson blood stained the air like a gruesome painting. Everyone stopped breathing.
All they could think was how beautiful the sight was. It was like a perfect painting.
“Blood Lion, Hybrid Form… Angelic Lion!”
The crimson blood turned into wings of Blood Lion. They attached to his back. Arazimir took flight, hovering over the castle roof like a godly being.
“You’ve pushed me to my extreme!”
Arazimir’s booming roar silenced the thunderous sky.
With a flap of his wings, he descended faster than any living thing. It was like he had become light itself, illuminating the world beneath him with his power and fury.
Arazimir’s light-speed punch bore through air. Boom, boom, boom. It was as if the very fabric of reality trembled at his touch.
“Mastered Iron Style, Weaving Blast!”
Kiernan’s punch exploded off his fist. The vibrations tearing through the atmosphere, causing shockwaves to ripple outwards in all directions.
Weaving Blast fist wrapped around Arazimir’s light-speed fist. It went up his arm like a slithering snake. It eventually smashed into Arazimir’s chest.
The punch made a hole the size of a fist on his chest.
The light-speed punch also came down at Kiernan’s head. He quickly snapped his head to the side. The fist grazed his cheek and smashed through the roof.
The castle roof exploded.
“Ah…”
Arazimir slowly fell down on the roof, his chest bleeding, and the crimson wings on his back slowly turned back to blood.
The crimson blood splashed onto the castle.
“…In technique I lose. In strength, I lose. In speed, I lose. What else do I have? I have… My Martial Ability!”
Arazimir’s eyes turned deep crimson. The air turned heavy and oppressive.
‘…He is finally going to use his Martial Ability. What is my Martial Ability? How can I find that out?’
Kiernan thought and slowly sucked the Flow State smoke back into his body. He didn’t want to exhaust himself completely.
