After Kizaru's sub-personality helped Deadshot's sub-personality clean up the mess, he tossed him a look, then vanished in a flash of light.

But Deadshot's sub-personality didn't leave right away. This time, he hadn't only come to stop the Joker from harming his family—he also wanted to see his daughter.

"Dad!"

The moment Zoe saw him, she ran straight into his arms, hugging him tightly.

Deadshot's sub-personality patted her head gently, his eyes filled with both warmth and sadness.

Yet the father-daughter reunion didn't last long. Brianna quickly came back to her senses, rushed over, and pulled Zoe into her arms. She glared at Deadshot's sub-personality with grief and anger.

"I told you long ago—if you kept living like this, one day you'd bring disaster to her! What do you want from us?!"

The hatred in her eyes was clear.

She had divorced him because he refused to turn away from that path. She had been afraid that sooner or later, Zoe would be caught in the crossfire.

And now, that day had arrived.

Worse still, the one behind it was still free. There could be another attack at any time.

How could she not resent him?

Just then, Morris limped over, his sleeve torn and hastily tied into a makeshift bandage. He looked pale and weak.

"You just called him Joker… which Joker?" Morris stared at Deadshot's sub-personality, his face twisted in dread.

"The one you're thinking of," Deadshot's sub-personality answered bitterly.

Strictly speaking, this whole mess had started because of Raymond, the main personality. But clearly, he was the one who had to shoulder it now.

Fortunately, Raymond had promised to deal with the aftermath. Otherwise, Deadshot's sub-personality might already have been crushed under the weight of despair.

"How… how could you provoke him?!" The moment Morris heard the confirmation, all strength seemed to leave his body. His face turned ashen.

Deadshot's sub-personality had once been a big name in Gotham's underworld. But compared to the Joker? He wasn't even close.

In Gotham, whenever the Joker's name was mentioned—whether in the underworld or the upper world—hearts always tightened with fear.

Because he was someone who didn't follow rules.

Call him a madman or a lunatic—it didn't matter. No rules could restrain him.

In Gotham's criminal world, there were still unspoken agreements: don't go after family, try to resolve disputes through deals when possible.

But the Joker was different.

For him, rules existed only to be broken.

Most people turned to crime for money or power.

The Joker? He acted only on his whims.

He could burn a mountain of cash just because he felt like it.

He could take over a gang, then sell them out the next day—just because.

He had only one principle: "I do what I like."

A lunatic, yes—but a genius-level lunatic.

No one wanted to be near him.

Since his rise, the only one who could sometimes suppress him was Batman. Everyone else—without exception—ended up suffering.

At Gotham PD, "the Joker" had even become a forbidden name. Few dared to say it aloud.

Because who knew if a careless word might reach his ears, bringing him straight to your door?

Status, power, reputation—it meant nothing to him.

If he wasn't happy, he wouldn't care who you were.

That was why, when Morris realized it was the Joker behind all this, despair hit him hard.

He couldn't think of any way to protect his wife and Zoe.

He wasn't even sure he could save himself.

Brianna hadn't paid attention to their words at first—everything had been too chaotic, and all she cared about was whether Zoe was safe.

But when she heard Morris and Deadshot's sub-personality mention the Joker, she finally realized who it was.

In Gotham, the Joker's infamy wasn't limited to the underworld or the authorities. Even ordinary people had heard of him, just like they knew Batman's name.

"This is all your fault!" Brianna glared at Deadshot's sub-personality, tears streaming down her face.

"The trouble I caused—I'll clean it up myself. You don't need to worry about that," he answered.

"Clean it up? How? Even Batman can't deal with him, and you think you can?"

"This isn't easy to explain… but what you need to know is—I'm not alone anymore."

Deadshot's sub-personality didn't plan on explaining further. To Brianna, his words sounded empty.

But Morris seemed to recall something. He suddenly asked, "That guy just now—was he your partner? Did you break out of prison?"

Deadshot knew Morris meant Kizaru's sub-personality, but he didn't want to answer that. Instead, he replied to the second question.

"No. The government needed me and let me out on purpose… Have you heard of the Suicide Squad?"

Morris nodded. Of course he had. As an old cop, he knew that even if such secret units stayed out of the public eye, they still had ties to law enforcement.

"There's a storm coming to Gotham. The Government freed me—and a few others with special skills—to form a team."

"Like the Justice League?" Zoe, who had been quiet, suddenly asked with bright eyes.

"Something like that." Deadshot's sub-personality smiled.

"Then congratulations," Morris said generously, offering his blessing.

"Thanks."

"So you mean… your teammates will help you fight the Joker?" Morris pressed.

Clearly, he thought "not alone" meant Deadshot's squadmates.

"Them?" Deadshot chuckled, neither confirming nor denying it.

Even if those so-called teammates wanted to help, most of them weren't exactly the kind of people you could rely on.

And among them was the Joker's number-one fan—and his so-called girlfriend.

If a fight really broke out, it would already be good if she didn't stab him in the back. Help him? Not likely.

What he really meant was far simpler.

Because now, in a way, he truly wasn't just one person.

Every sub-personality was him. Each one was different, but they were all still him.

So what the Joker would face wasn't just a man.

It was a whole army inside one body.
