Lucien sat on the couch in their living room, watching as everyone gathered around Daniel with obvious excitement.

The news about Thanos had SHIELD's surveillance systems working overtime, scanning for any unidentified vessels in their solar system. But honestly, Lucien wasn't too worried. He knew Thanos was the main villain from two major Marvel movies, but he was confident in his own strength now.

Right now though, all attention was focused on Daniel, who held a small red box with a white smiley face painted on the front. Lucien couldn't help but smile—he knew about what it was as he was the one who had given Daniel the ideas and the designs needed to make this possible.

Anna, Laura, and Illyana were all leaning forward with curiosity. They'd seen Daniel working hard on the project for days, but now that it was finally here, they bombarded him with questions.

"How does it work?" Anna asked.

"Is it really like what Lucien described?" Laura added.

"Can it actually help with medical stuff?" Illyana chimed in.

Daniel held up his hands with a grin. "I'll demonstrate in a second. Just let me set it up properly."

He motioned for Illyana to come forward. "Can you roll up your sleeve?"

Illyana raised an eyebrow but did as he asked, exposing her forearm.

Lucien found it amusing—this was exactly how Baymax had been introduced in the original movie. Daniel really had followed the design perfectly.

Without warning, Daniel wrapped a wax strip around Illyana's arm and quickly ripped it off.

"Ow!" Illyana yelped, glaring at him. "You better have a good reason for doing that or else—"

That's when the red box started opening with a soft hissing sound. White material began inflating and expanding, slowly taking the shape of a large, round figure. The process was slow, almost comically so, but there was something undeniably cute about watching the healthcare companion come to life.

After what felt like forever, the figure finally stood in front of Illyana—a large, white, inflatable robot with simple black dots for eyes and a calm, peaceful expression.

"Hello," the robot said in a gentle, pleasant voice. "I am Baymax, your personal healthcare assistant."

Everyone's eyes went wide. The voice was perfect—caring but professional, exactly what you'd want from a medical companion.

"I was activated due to your pain," Baymax continued. "I will be scanning you now."

Light spread from Baymax's eyes, washing over Illyana's body in a gentle blue glow. His chest suddenly lit up like a computer screen, displaying a detailed scan of her body. Everyone leaned in to get a better look.

The display highlighted her forearm in red, pinpointing exactly where Daniel had pulled off the wax strip.

"You have a slight epidermal abrasion on your forearm," Baymax announced. "Applying antibacterial spray."

A fine mist sprayed from the tip of his finger onto Illyana's arm. She blinked in surprise but didn't pull away.

"That actually feels better," she admitted, examining her arm.

"How is this possible?" Anna asked, staring at Baymax in amazement.

"The scanning technology uses advanced sensors to detect injuries and pain," Daniel explained proudly. "The treatment options are programmed based on medical databases, but Baymax can also learn and adapt to new situations."

"This is incredible," Laura said, walking around Baymax to examine him from different angles. "How accurate are the scans?"

"Very," Daniel replied. "He can detect everything from minor cuts to broken bones, internal bleeding, even emotional distress to some extent."

"Emotional distress?" Anna's voice carried particular interest.

"His sensors can read heart rate, stress hormones, body language—all indicators of psychological state," Daniel continued. "He's designed to provide both physical and emotional care. By the way, he will only go back if you say You are satisfied with his care."

"I am satisfied with my care," Illyana announced, still marveling at her now pain-free arm.

"Excellent," Baymax responded. "I will return to my charging station."

He walked back to the red box with the same slow, deliberate movements, then began deflating and compressing himself back into the compact container. Within seconds, he was completely stored away, leaving only the small red box behind.

"That was amazing," Anna breathed.

"How long did this take you to build?" Laura asked.

"About a week of non-stop work," Daniel said, though he looked exhausted but satisfied. "The hardest part was getting the personality programming right. He needed to be helpful without being annoying."

Lucien stood up and put his hand on Daniel's shoulder. "I can already smell the money coming."

Daniel laughed. "I'll need a lot of money to set up proper production facilities, but yeah, with all the risks that exist in today's world, getting hurt is something people deal with constantly. Baymax could definitely help with that."

"In the card I gave you, there are around 1.4 million dollars now," Lucien said casually. "That should be enough to start with production, right?"

Daniel's eyes went wide, and everyone else stared at Lucien in shock.

"That's more than enough!" Daniel exclaimed. "That's enough to set up a whole manufacturing facility!"

"Geez, what do you do on those missions?" Illyana asked, shaking her head in disbelief.

Lucien just smiled and didn't answer.

As evening approached, they decided to go out and celebrate Daniel's success. They found a club that wasn't too crowded and spent hours dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves. It felt good to just be normal teenagers for a while, even though they all knew their lives were anything but normal.

During a break from dancing, Laura approached Lucien at their table.

"I want to ask you something," she said, having to speak loudly over the music.

"What's up?"

"I want you to introduce me to SHIELD. I want to do missions."

Lucien studied her face, seeing the determination there. "You sure about that? It's dangerous work."

"I've been training my whole life for dangerous work," Laura replied. "The difference is, now I get to choose who I fight for."

Lucien nodded. "Alright. I'll talk to Natasha about it."

He pulled out his phone and sent a quick text to Natasha. Her response came back almost immediately: She was willing to train Laura and gradually introduce her to missions.

"She said yes," Lucien told Laura. "Natasha will train you and take you on missions when you're ready."

Laura's face lit up with the first genuine smile he'd seen from her in weeks. "Thank you."

Later that night, as they were preparing to leave the club, Lucien pulled Anna aside.

"Hey, the others can walk home together," he said. "I need to take you somewhere."

Immediately, everyone started grinning and making teasing comments.

"Ooh, a date!" Illyana called out.

"About time," Daniel added with a smirk.

"Use protection," Laura said dryly, earning horrified looks from Anna and Lucien.

Both of them felt their faces burning, but neither denied what the others were implying. They just stood there looking embarrassed while their friends continued to tease them.

"We'll see you at home," Lucien finally managed to say, grabbing Anna's hand and pulling her toward the exit.

They booked a cab and headed toward the outskirts of the city. Anna sat close to him in the backseat, their hands still intertwined.

"So where are we going?" Anna asked excitedly, her eyes bright with curiosity.

"We're going to work on controlling your powers," Lucien replied.

Anna's expression immediately changed. Her excitement faded, replaced by something that looked almost like disappointment.

"Oh," she said quietly. "That's... that's good."

Lucien noticed the change in her tone and understood why she felt deflated. When he'd said he needed to take her somewhere, after all the teasing about dates, she'd probably been hoping for something more romantic.

Truth to be told, even he wanted a something more, something simple like a romantic date with her. But he didn't say anything about it—this was important too.

The cab dropped them off at the edge of the city, where streetlights gave way to darkness and urban sprawl became wilderness. They walked for about a kilometer into increasingly remote territory before finally reaching a dense forest area.

"You know," Anna said, trying to lighten the mood, "this feels like the beginning of a crime documentary. If I didn't trust you completely, this would be the perfect place to bury a body."

Lucien laughed. "Don't worry. You're going to be the one doing the killing tonight."

Anna gave him a confused look as he pulled out what appeared to be an ordinary dungeon key and pressed it against a large tree. A portal began to form, its edges crackling with energy that only he could see.

Anna looked around, clearly not seeing anything unusual as dungeon gates were not visible to others, "Um, Lucien? What exactly are we waiting for?"

Lucien realized his mistake and felt his face go red with embarrassment. "Shit, I forgot that it takes time for the dungeon break to happen. The monsters won't come out for about half an hour."

Anna did not understand half of what Lucien said or meant, but she still asked,

Anna stared at him. "Monsters? Dungeons?"

"Yeah, that's what I meant about you doing the killing. I thought we could practice your powers on some creatures that definitely deserve it."

Anna's expression shifted as she processed this information. "You can summon monsters?"

"Not exactly summon.. I mean I can do that too, but right now its more like... create a situation where they'll come to us." Lucien gestured vaguely at the tree. "There's going to be a portal that opens up, and creatures will start coming through. Nothing too dangerous—I picked a low-level one specifically for training purposes."

"And you want me to drain them?"

"Only if you're comfortable with it. The idea is to give you practice using your abilities in a controlled environment, against targets that won't make you feel guilty about it."

Anna was quiet for a moment, considering this. "You planned all of this just to help me get better control?"

"Of course. Your powers are part of who you are, Anna. You shouldn't have to be afraid of them or ashamed of them. You should be able to use them confidently when you need to."

Anna looked at him with an expression he couldn't quite read. "This is better than any date anyway."

"Really?"

"Really. The others were teasing us about romance, but this?" She gestured around them. "This is you showing that you believe in me, that you want to help me become stronger. That means more to me than dinner and a movie ever could."

Lucien felt his heart skip a beat. He wanted to say something to her, to confess something to her, "Anna..."

"But next time," she added with a small smile, "maybe warn me to wear clothes I don't mind getting bloody."

They found a fallen log to sit on while they waited for the dungeon break to occur. The forest was peaceful around them, with only the sounds of night creatures and rustling leaves.

"Are you nervous?" Lucien asked.

"A little," Anna admitted. "I've never used my powers on purpose before, except with Romulus. It's always been accidents or self-defense."

"That's exactly why we're doing this. You need to know that you can control when and how you use your abilities."

Anna nodded, then leaned against his shoulder. "Thank you for this. For understanding what I needed."

A warm feeling rose up in Lucien's heart as he looked at her face... her cute little face leaning on his shoulder.

She was just like a baby... his baby. And, just for her smile, Lucien was willing to do even the hellish stuff in the Mortal world.

She was his, and he was going to protect her from anyone who dared to mess with her.
