Masked Flirt: He's My Equal, She's My Match
Chapter 52: Mr. Jing Feeds Her, the Audition Scene
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52: MR. JING FEEDS HER, THE AUDITION SCENE
"I think you’re trying to set me up," John Sinclair cut straight to the chase.
Olivia’s temper is such that asking her will get you beaten unless you’re specifically asking for it.
Exposed, Isabella Xyler awkwardly tugged at her lips and muttered, "How could I be setting you up? It’s obviously a friendly suggestion."
John Sinclair rolled his eyes at her with a look that said, "Do you think I believe you?"
"Is Olivia not coming today?"
Sebastian Winn caught onto the crux of her words and asked.
Isabella Xyler glanced at him with a hint of secret excitement in her tone, "Definitely. I bet Mr. Julian already took Olivia away."
"You really do know,"
Sebastian Winn’s eyes flashed with an unusual emotion, smiling lightly as he spoke.
Isabella Xyler pursed her lips, "You bet."
...
"Mr. Sia, is it the usual private room?" The waiter looked respectfully at the man, but his eyes couldn’t help but glance aside.
It’s the first time Mr. Sia has brought a girl here.
Seeing clearly the girl’s features, even though she’s also a girl, she couldn’t help but sigh, "She’s so beautiful!"
Julian Sia murmured in acknowledgment, turning his head to look at Claire Green, his deep voice carrying an unnoticed gentleness.
"Claire, what do you want to eat?"
"Anything’s fine," Claire Green responded nonchalantly, her tone tinged with laziness.
The waitress frequently glanced at her, intrigued by this new kind of girl.
"I’ll have the usual dishes,"
Julian Sia stated plainly, leading Claire Green into the private room and closing the door.
Seated in the chair, Claire Green crossed her fingers, casually supporting her chin, eyes darkly fixed on the man.
She spoke lightly with great interest, "I’m curious too, what about me caught your attention?"
Suddenly.
The action of Julian Sia pouring tea paused slightly, then he gave a faint low laugh, his clear voice teasing and jestful.
"Isn’t Claire coveting my looks?"
"..."
Alright, it was indeed her who was seduced by his looks and flirted.
Claire Green raised her brows, smiling brightly at him, "Doesn’t that apply to you too?"
The girl’s voice, unlike its usual coolness, had a drawn-out, unique allure.
This simple question unexpectedly made the man’s lazy eyes deepen.
His throat felt a little itchy.
The man took a sip of tea, his Adam’s apple moving with it.
"Claire, have some tea."
Moments later, Julian Sia slowly pushed another cup of tea over, speaking softly.
"Is my brother shy," Claire Green teased, seemingly unwilling to let the man off.
Suddenly.
Julian Sia pulled her chair closer, his hands supporting the armrests as he stared deeply at her, his voice somewhat hoarse.
"Claire, are you sure you want to continue discussing?"
It’s not the first time they’ve been this close, Claire Green’s lashes lightly trembled, "Suddenly I don’t really want to."
Julian Sia’s eyes raised unconsciously, his attractive fingers lightly flicking her forehead.
"..."
Every time she flirted with him, she ended up being flirted back.
Deep in Claire Green’s eyes, a flash of frustration passed.
Click.
The door was pushed open, a few waiters cautiously placed the dishes on the table and bowed out.
"Did you guys see that?"
Once outside, one of the female waiters excitedly nudged the person next to her.
"Saw it, didn’t expect Mr. Sia likes someone like that."
"What do you mean by that? That girl’s beauty matches Mr. Sia so well, if they have children, their looks would definitely be out of this world."
This remark instantly struck a chord with the group, all exchanging glances with flushed faces.
The manager not far off saw them hanging around the private room door, looking excited, and walked over with a frown.
"Why are you still here? Hurry up and get back to work."
Caught, the waiters exchanged glances and swiftly dispersed.
...
"The food here tastes alright," Julian Sia placed a shrimp in the dish, slowly peeling its shell with long fingers.
Claire Green raised her brow; a seemingly ordinary action, yet this man made it a pleasing sight.
"Eat up."
Julian Sia placed the peeled shrimp in her bowl and spoke gently.
Claire Green clicked her tongue, and without standing on ceremony, started eating.
For the next ten minutes, Julian Sia seemed to enjoy this feeding game, hardly eating himself, but continuously serving food to Claire Green.
Seeing yet another piece of shrimp in the bowl, Claire Green put down her chopsticks, speaking slowly, "My brother, you should eat yourself."
"Claire, eat more so you can grow big," Julian Sia’s hands kept moving, full of smiles.
Claire Green’s eyes paused, feeling there was something off with what he said.
She spoke calmly, "I’m full."
Julian Sia glanced at her bowl, his throat moving, well, he’ll slowly feed her; she’ll surely be well-fed eventually.
"Let’s go."
He removed his gloves, speaking lightly.
Claire Green stood up, responding with a nod.
"Mr. Sia, take care,"
The restaurant manager saw them leaving and immediately came up, escorting them to the door with compliments.
...
"Olivia, weren’t you going to audition? Why come here?"
Rae Zander looked at the building ahead, somewhat confused and asked.
"I can’t go in school uniform, can I," Olivia Song’s voice carried a hint of helplessness.
The two had just taken leave from their teacher, how could they go to the audition in their school uniforms.
Only then did Rae Zander realize, laughing softly as she hooked Olivia Song’s arm and cheerfully walked into the building.
They headed straight to the fourth floor, glanced at a range of luxury stores, and started to hesitate.
"Olivia, what type do you want to choose," Rae Zander glanced around and spoke.
Olivia Song didn’t respond, directly pulling her into a store called ’Creek’.
As soon as they entered, a shop assistant approached enthusiastically, "Ladies, is there a type you’d like to choose? I can help with introductions."
"No need," Olivia Song spoke with a gentle yet distant air.
Rejected, the assistant didn’t get angry, only backed away quietly, observing them.
Olivia Song’s slender fingers slowly brushed over pieces of clothing, finally stopping at a dress.
"I’d like to try this one,"
The assistant quickly took down the dress and handed it over.
When Olivia Song changed into the dress, the assistant suddenly felt as if the dress was tailor-made for her.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Olivia Song smiled.
Although the dress was pure white, it was simple, not over-the-top, perfectly fitting her audition character’s persona.
"Olivia, this dress suits you well," Rae Zander spoke sincerely.
"Charge it," Olivia Song handed over her credit card.
The assistant unexpectedly found it closed so quickly, happily taking the card to charge.
After carefully dressing up, the two went directly to the audition venue.
Suddenly, two unfamiliar faces appeared, making the waiting stars look them up and down.
The one on the left wasn’t particularly outstanding, but the girl in a white dress seemed to exude pressure.
On the way, Olivia Song had checked that Director Wang would be filming an adaptation based on the novel "The World’s Wind".
This novel has a super high popularity online, especially when it’s known it would be adapted into a television series, driving book fans particularly excited.
The reason was none other than the female protagonist Rosalind Gale was a character that evoked both sympathy and admiration; she roamed the world her entire life, abandoned by society, yet never gave up, walking ahead of everyone step by step, eventually becoming the pure and gentle Rosalind in everyone’s eyes...
This role, she’s determined to get.
Olivia Song’s eyes surged with darkness, having a premonition that landing this role would surely make her famous.
