Master Bai! This Celestial Fox Spirit Is Asking For Divorce
Chapter 339: Episode 31.10 Hahaha! Pregnant!
CHAPTER 339: EPISODE 31.10 HAHAHA! PREGNANT!
"Yuan?" Bai Tingfeng questioningly stared at the celestial fox spirit. Few people eating around him were looking at them, but he paid no mind to their stares. His concern is just the reason for Shen Yuan’s sudden outburst.
Shen Yuan only shook his head, his face scrunching from his attempt to stop himself from gagging.
"Kun, kun." Yanyan leaned forward and sniffed his dad’s chicken burger. "Daddy is being weird. The burger smells yummy. Don’t you like it, Daddy?"
Shen Yuan turned his head away before taking a sharp and deep inhale. It is not that he hates or dislike burgers. It is actually one of his favourite things in the mortal realm— well, aside from boys’ love and sex, that is.
Whenever he is stressed or tired, he grabs a freshly cooked burger.
Burger is his comfort food. Just one sniff of that savoury smell of grilled meat and fat, and he would instantly salivate. That is how much he is in love with burgers.
Which brings the mystery of his reaction. Why is he so repulsed by the burger, even though there is nothing wrong with it?
"I will return this to them," Bai Tingfeng said, standing up.
"Wait!" Shen Yuan pulled his alpha back to his seat. "You don’t have to trouble them for this. Smell this. Do you think it stinks?"
Bai Tingfeng smelled the burger himself. He shook his head before taking a bite from it, surprising Shen Yuan and Yanyan.
"Papa! That is not fair!"
Bai Tingfeng smacked his lips, relishing the flavorful oil that coated his lips. "It smells and tastes good."
Oh, boy. Bai Tingfeng looked sexy doing that to his lips. Shen Yuan, in normal circumstances, would feel turned on by that scene. Pity he is more taken by the smell that attacked his sinuses.
The celestial fox spirit looked at his bitten burger. With the fillings spilling from the buns, the smell becomes even stronger. His eyes almost jumped from their sockets due to disgust when they landed on that yellow goo.
"Eh. No, no." Shen Yuan pulled his face away from the burger. "I think I know what is wrong now. The mustard is too strong for my liking. If you want, take my burger."
Shen Yuan turned to the Family Bucket Meal and pulled out a few pieces of fried chicken. He placed it on his plate, then picked up a pack of fries. "I will just eat fried chicken and fries."
Shen Yuan let the matter rest. The chicken burger was a miss for his palate, but the fried chicken and fries successfully won him over. The salt and spices used in the breading were just right, and the meat and skin underneath it were tender and fried to perfection.
"Hmmm! It’s so tasty, Daddy! Do you always eat in places like this before?" Yanyan said, smacking and licking his lips.
"I do. Fast-food meals are cheap and delicious. However, it is unhealthy to eat it regularly. It is too greasy. That is why in the future, please understand if I forbid you from eating fast-food meals." Shen Yuan reached over to wipe his son’s lips.
"Okay. But... will it be okay if I eat it from time to time?" Yanyan held his Daddy’s hand in place and moved his head side to side to wipe his lips.
Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng laughed at the same time.
"You are securing your chances to eat fast food when you heard you will be forbidden to do so, huh? That is smart."
With their bellies full and things they needed bought, Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng decided to go home. It is a quarter to five, and the sky through the glass roofs of the mall looked red and orange, like a maple leaf.
They were on their way to the parking lot when Shen Yuan suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"What? What is it?" Bai Tingfeng asked his husband. Yanyan, who is on his papa’s arms, looked at Shen Yuan quizzically.
"Nothing, I just saw a pharmacy. I had this stupid thought that I might find something that would help me cure my weirdness."
Bai Tingfeng cocked an eyebrow. "Yuan, people go to a doctor when they feel something is not right in their body. We will stop by a clinic."
"No," Shen Yuan resumed walking. "It is already this late. Walk-in clinics should be closed by now."
"We don’t need a walk-in clinic. We have a family doctor."
"Oh, yeah, Mr. Rich Boy?" Shen Yuan laughed lowly. "But seriously, though, I am fine now. I can do the check-up tomorrow."
"What if you being weird is the sign that our efforts are finally paying off? What if we are already pregnant?"
"Ha!" Shen Yuan laughed loudly, incredulous. Surely, this is Bai Tingfeng’s excitement talking.
~~~
"You are pregnant," that is the Bai family’s doctor speaking. "Congratulations, Master Yuan, Master Tingfeng. Baby number two is on the way."
They are now back in their house, and under Bai Tingfeng’s insistence, he called their family doctor to do a blood test on his husband. He made sure to make it happen even if it is already eight in the evening and Yanyan is already sleeping.
And the result is just as he announced it.
"Yes!" Bai Tingfeng shot his fist into the air like he’d just won the World Cup, the lottery, and a lifetime supply of hotpot all at once. Meanwhile, Shen Yuan was still flat on the bed, blinking at the ceiling like his brain had unplugged itself to reboot.
Honestly, if they weren’t in the bedroom, Bai Tingfeng would be doing cartwheels, backflips, maybe even scale the walls out of sheer joy. He’d imagined a hundred times how it might feel if Shen Yuan ever got pregnant, but nothing, absolutely nothing, came close to this explosion of happiness flooding his chest.
They are having Baby Number Two!
"Based on his hCG levels, I’d estimate he’s about two weeks along—still very early. That’s why I advised you to start being more mindful moving forward. Pregnancies in male omegas can be a bit more delicate, so it’s best to take extra care."
"Of course, we will be careful. Right, Yuan?" Bai Tingfeng turned to his omega. Only this time did he realize the stupor Shen Yuan was in. "Yuan?"
"Oh shit. I know I mentally prepared myself about this, but, oh shit," Shen Yuan uttered under his breath, incoherent.
"I will excuse myself now, Master Bai, Master Shen." The doctor gave the two a space.
They need to talk, as obvious as that seems.
"Hey, do you regret it?" Bai Tingfeng asked his husband. He sat on the bed and reassuringly leaned his muscled body towards Shen Yuan.
"No," Shen Yuan tugged that word from the back of his throat. "I meant what I said to you before. I am fine bearing your child. It’s just that..." His and Bai Tingfeng’s eyes met halfway, and a laughter suddenly welled from his chest. "Holy shit, dude. I am going to be the first great spirit to birth a child!"
Bai Tingfeng couldn’t contain his laughter and joined Shen Yuan. "I understand. This feels like a dream."
"An unbelievable dream!" Shen Yuan incredulously waved his arm around. "I can’t believe there is a brat growing in my womb!"
Bai Tingfeng pinched Shen Yuan’s nose. "Oh, come on. Don’t call our baby like that. He or she is a gift."
The two love birds locked each other in an intense stare down, and at the end, their laughter almost pierced the ceiling.
"Hehehe."
"Bwahaha."
They are like little kids who did mischief behind their parents’ backs. They feel like they are on cloud nine, like literally. Their blissful laughter just keeps on coming.
Bai Tingfeng joined Shen Yuan on the bed, and there, they just playfully made a mess with each other. They hugged and kissed— smothering each other with the excitement they felt for this new journey of theirs.
"We are so bad. We pushed through with the test even when Yanyan was already sleeping. He will be bummed that he was late to learn about this matter." Shen Yuan said, trying to restrain his laughter.
Bai Tingfeng bit his lower lip, "We can’t help it. The issue of pregnancy is not something we can sleep on. We need to confirm it."
Shen Yuan crossed his arms over his chest. "Well. Now that we confirm it. Can we still sleep now?"
"No." Bai Tingfeng deadpanned. A coy smile then gradually blossomed in his handsome face. "I feel like ten shots of espresso entered my bloodstream."
Shen Yuan let out another belly full of laughter. "Now you are just jesting me."
"I am not." Bai Tingfeng countered, smiling. "And I can prove that to you."
Bai Tingfeng silenced Shen Yuan with the press of his fingertips beneath his chin, guiding him into a kiss that stole the breath from both their lungs.
It wasn’t just desire. It was a collision of souls, a kiss deep and consuming, where time held its breath and the world faded around them.
Sparks danced behind their closed eyes. Their hearts raced in perfect harmony, as if echoing a love song only the two of them could hear.
Though their bodies burned with want, it was the joy—raw, radiant, and overwhelming—that bloomed brightest between their lips.
"Thank you so much, Yuan." Bai Tingfeng’s rough voice tickled Shen Yuan’s ears. "This is one of the best days of my life."
