CHAPTER 340: EPISODE 32.1 VISITATIONS FOR THE PREGGY

"Waaaah! Daddy!" Yanyan squealed with pure, unfiltered joy the moment his parents shared the big news once morning came.

Without hesitation, he flung himself into their arms, wrapping them both in a hug so tight it felt like his tiny heart might burst. Laughter and happy tears mingled as the three of them held each other close—warmth, love, and wonder blooming in that perfect little bubble only a family could create.

Shen Yuan felt the dampness soak through his shirt and realized his son was crying.

"Alright, alright," Bai Tingfeng chuckled gently, brushing Yanyan’s hair back. "We’ve still got nine months before you meet your baby sibling. No need to start sobbing just yet."

"But I can’t control it! Huhuhu!" Fat tears dripped down the boy’s eyes. "I am sho happy. I finally have a forever playmate, friend and sibling. I wuhnted it! I wanted it so bahd, I prayed for et!"

Tears, snot, and sweat - Yanyan was crying so hard that he became drenched in his own body fluids. His speech was almost incoherent due to his uncontrollable sobs.

Shen Yuan feels bad seeing his son in such a mess, but at the same time, he wants to laugh because his reaction is so cute!

Biting his lower lip to stop himself from smiling, he pulled out his handkerchief from his pocket and used it to blow Yanyan’s nose.

Honk!

The handkerchief fluttered at the same time the boy’s nose crackled like a trumpet.

"Oh my, that is quite a lot," Shen Yuan used his soft voice to calm his boy down. "Stop crying, okay? I am worried you will run out of water at this rate."

Bai Tingfeng stood up and quickly got his boy a glass of cool water. "Here. Drink a lot. Your reaction even surpassed mine. I did not even cry."

Shen Yuan countered his bragging husband with a sharp glare. "Because you are busy feeling something else."

Bai Tingfeng almost gagged when he heard that. Indeed, he was occupied with "celebrating" alone with his husband. Instead of crying, he was moaning and calling the name of his children’s mother through labored breath.

"Yanyan," Shen Yuan said softly as he rubbed his little boy’s back, "Your baby sibling is going to be so happy knowing how excited you are to meet them. But if they hear you crying like this, they might feel a little sad, thinking they made you cry. So, let’s smile instead, okay? That way, your baby sibling will know how loved they already are."

Yanyan took two brave breaths. "Huff. Huff. Okay. I will calm down now."

To Shen Yuan’s surprise, Yanyan grabbed his handkerchief and used it to wipe his face. The snot and boogers!

"But Daddy, I don’t just love them. I am proud of them! I will tell everyone I am a big brother now!" Yanyan peeled himself away from his parents’ embrace, and without any hesitation, he started running to share the good news.

"That boy..." Shen Yuan was at a loss for words.

"He’s just like you. He gets all excited, it’s like pressing a go button nobody can turn off!" Bai Tingfeng said on the side.

With their little cherubim acting as the messenger, the news of his pregnancy soon spread like wildfire.

Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng soon received an urgent call from Rong Suyin and Bai Weisheng.

"I knew it! Hahahah! I say it was only a matter of time, but who knew it would happen this early! I am so happy for you, Yuan, darling." Rong Suyin’s teary eyes were what greeted them upon accepting the video conference request.

It was obvious in the sunny, tropical rainforest background that Shen Yuan’s in-laws are still involved in their business abroad. However, upon hearing the good news, Rong Suyin did not hesitate to say that he would cut his trip short.

"Dad, if your business there is not done yet, then don’t force it. We can handle things here." Bai Tingfeng tried to stop Rong Suyin from making an impulsive decision.

"No! We will go home. Quick. Shen Yuan needs his closest people by his side. Besides, I heard news from there, and I am not a bit comfortable, Tingfeng! We are going home!"

With such firm and stubborn resolve, the younger couple decided to just prepare for the other’s return.

The conference call ended with a barrage of pregnancy advice from Rong Suyin. Of course, Shen Yuan’s warm yet taciturn father-in-law also praised his son before ending the call, saying:

"Nice work, son." Looking smug and proud at the same time.

"Alphas..." Shen Yuan gave Bai Tingfeng a judgy face. "As if you are the one who truly worked hard for it. Hmp! If only he knew that his son enjoyed being in the low ground while I ride fast and hard..."

Bai Tingfeng laughed like a maniac. "What? If it weren’t for my stamina and virility, I would not be able to satisfy you. Come on, my father is just congratulating me. Give me this one, please."

"Fine." Shen Yuan pressed down his silly smile and rolled his eyes. "I will just worry about the people congratulating me for being pregnant. For sure, there will be a lot."

And that is not far from the truth.

Shen Yuan lost count of the number of congratulations he received that morning— and those are just from helpers and security personnel working in their family.

As soon as Gu Jinpeng and his agents arrived to see him, they didn’t just offer congratulations—they rushed off to buy a fruit basket and the usual cliché gifts people bring for someone expecting.

Pregnancy pillow, maternity pajamas and robes, pregnancy books and even stretch mark cream! All of those things were piled up in front of him in no time.

"The last time I checked, Tingfeng is the father of my child. Not my entire squad." Shen Yuan uttered, blinking fast as he looked blankly at the gifts given to him.

"Ah, did we overstep, Leader Shen?" Qin Mian scratched his head, looking awkward.

"Not really. If anything, it was touching." Shen Yuan quickly responded. He then picked up a stubby bottle and flashed it to everyone’s faces to see. "But seriously, a stretch mark cream? How did you think of gifting me this?"

Then, to everyone’s surprise, Shen Yuan lifted his shirt. His entire squad looked like overripe tomatoes, and none of them dared to stare at the fair and flawless abdomen of their boss.

"Look at me! Do you see any stretch marks, huh? Does it look like I need stretch mark creams?"

"No, Master Shen," Gu Jinpeng awkwardly answered. It was he who brought that stretch mark cream, but there is no way in hell he will tell his boss that. Among the people here, he is directly employed by Shen Yuan.

Admitting one mistake to his boss—especially when she’s this hormonal—is like volunteering to make his paycheck vanish into thin air. Thus, no way in hell!

"Ha!" Shen Yuan sighed loudly. "Whatever. I will just let this matter rest, and whether I admit it or not, this is a useful gift. Thank you, guys."

Gu Jinpeng’s smile became sweeter after hearing that.

"Got you, asshole. Don’t expect to get any bonus this month." Shen Yuan grinned like an old, sly fox.

Gu Jinpeng pathetically pouted his lips and uttered a soft retaliation. "Master Shen..."

The wave of greetings and well-wishes did not end there. Their Bai Family soon welcomed Chairman Mao, Director Song, Xia Jinhai and Admiral Wu into their home.

They came in with more valuable gifts.

"These are willow pears that grow in B-rank dungeons. They’re delicious, nutritious, and rich in mana. Studies say that they are helpful for pregnant awakeners like you." Chairman Mao explained like he’s some kind of salesman in an online shopping network. A sly smirk then blossomed. "I totally called this, believe it or not. Haha!"

Shen Yuan rolled his eyes. Why is Chairman Mao acting like he did something? This guy is ridiculous.

"Wow, thanks for the prediction—it came true because of you," he said, dripping with sarcasm. "Next time, let’s make it more exciting. How about we bet on the baby’s gender? Winner gets bragging rights and a big gold star badge. You in?"

Everyone almost choked from laughing.

"Ha! As expected, even pregnancy did not make you kinder." Chairman Mao smiled helplessly. He then asked, "So, what did the doctor say? Are you allowed to work?"

Of course, the doctor advised him to be cautious, but it didn’t mean he had to stay in bed throughout his pregnancy. He simply told everyone to avoid anything too strenuous.

"But don’t worry. I can still do my job and participate in our plan." Shen Yuan told Chairman Mao.

"Still, Yuan," Director Song held Shen Yuan’s hand. "It’s better to cut back on your work a little. Pregnancy among male omegas is extremely volatile. You would have to check your hormone level regularly, and absolutely no stress!"

"Believe me, it is very easy for omegas to miscarry." Director Song’s face changed a little when say that.

Slowly wiping off the mischief, Chairman Mao’s tone softened. "Honey, don’t stress Yuan out. He worked for me, remember? I’m not about to let him worry now that he’s pregnant."

Shen Yuan sensed the oddity in the actions of the old couple, but he didn’t pry. "I promise to be careful, Director Song. No one can harm this child with me as his mother."
