Master Of Astral Summoner
Chapter 125: Eating together
CHAPTER 125: EATING TOGETHER
As Shaan walked back to the living room, his mind kept circling Dr. Marshal’s words. For some reason, he still felt curious about the person who had cast that spell. Could it be that this person was part of the resistance, as Dr. Marshal had said?
"Everything feels so strange and unclear," Shaan stroked his chin. "It seems I still need to gather more information about this."
Just a few seconds later, there was a knock on Dr. Marshall’s door. Hearing it, Shaan, who was just about to sit down on the sofa in the living room, immediately walked over to open the door.
"Oh, hello, Shaan." Mr. Courier smiled. "It’s good to see you again."
"I’m also happy to see you all."
"Uhm... Shaan, how is it? Have you managed to make the serum?"
"Yes, we have managed to make it."
"Thank goodness. I’m glad to hear that." Chelsie sighed relief. "So, now we have to meet the bar owner as soon as possible and give him the serum so we can find the secret passageway and find the evidence we need."
"... What Elsie said is right. We have to find that evidence before it’s too late."
"Actually, we don’t need to do that anymore." Shaan shook his head. "I have already gone inside the cave and found the evidence."
After hearing Shaan’s words, the three of them immediately looked at one another and fell silent. Confusion and shock were clearly visible on their faces. Obviously, they reacted that way because what Shaan and Dr. Marshal had done was completely outside the original plan.
"Shaan, we don’t understand what you’re saying at all." Chelsie scratched her head. "How can you get the secret location to enter the cave?"
"That’s because we met with the bar owner, and he told us about a secret passageway that is in Twilight Sanctum’s old water tunnel."
"Twilight Sanctum, old water tunnel?" Mr Courier furrowed his brow. "That’s outside the Twilight Sanctum. How could you get out without being noticed by the guards at the gate?"
"That’s because Dr. Marshal and I agreed to use the method—"
"Metempsychosis." Dr. Marshal appeared from the kitchen and headed to the living room. "We both agreed to retrieve the evidence using the method of metempsychosis."
"Metem- oh my, so you really did use that terrifying method?" Mr. Courier paused for a moment. "Isn’t that extremely dangerous?"
"Extremely dangerous?" Nalira furrowed her brow at the courier’s words. "What do you mean by that?"
"Uhmm... Yeah, I don’t understand either."
"Metempsychosis is a method that—"
"Ah, courier 020, I think you can explain all that at the dinner table," Dr. Marshal interrupted the conversation. "I guess we should eat first. They must be exhausted and hungry by now," said Dr. Marshal, walking back to the kitchen.
"All of you clean yourselves up first. I’ll prepare our meal for today."
"Okay, we understand," they said in unison. "Thank you, Dr. Marshal."
"Sir Marshal, I’ll help you," Mr. Courier offered. "You’ll probably have a hard time doing everything alone."
"Oh, alright. I’m glad to hear that," Dr. Marshal replied with a small smile.

"Ah, this feels much better."
Shaan stepped out of the bathroom while towel-drying his half-wet hair. Good — at least now he felt much fresher than before. He decided to head toward the kitchen, thinking that Dr. Marshal and Mr Courier had probably finished cooking by now.
"I’m just curious, what’s—"
He suddenly stopped walking when a rich aroma drifted in from the kitchen. The scent smelled like spices—warm, earthy, and inviting. Honestly, the smell was so delicious that Shaan’s stomach growled loudly in response.
’Grrrowwl.’
"Good thing no one’s here," Shaan said, looking around. "Now, I’d better go to the dining room. I’m sure Dr. Marshal and Mr courier have finished preparing today’s meal."
Shaan quickly picked up his pace until he finally reached the kitchen. It turned out that the delicious aroma was coming from a bowl of hot soup that Dr. Marshal was pouring into several bowls.
"Wow, Dr. Marshal, your dish smells wonderful," said Shaan, walking closer to the table. "You are very experienced in cooking."
"Haha, it’s nothing special," Dr. Shaan replied modestly. "This soup is a simple dish that my mother used to make. I just tried making it and added a few extra ingredients."
"Ah, interesting," Shaan nodded. "You should be a chef; you have a great chance at it."
Hearing Shaan’s words, Dr. Marshall smiled. "Hmm... maybe, after I retire, that could be a good idea."
Just a few minutes later, the sound of footsteps could be heard, and it turned out to be Chelsie and Nalira. Both of them made their way over to a nearby chair.
"Wow, this food looks amazing," said Chelsie, her face full of admiration.
"That’s right... It smells so good. Chelsie and I could smell it clearly as soon as we left the room."
"Oh, it looks like the girls are here," said Dr. Marshall. "All right, it’s time to eat. I’ll call Mr Courier from—ah, there he is," Dr. Marshall waved his hand. "Courier 020, come here and sit with us. It’s time to eat."
"Yes, Sir Marshall," Mr Courier replied as he walked over and sat down in one of the chairs.
"Okay, then. Let’s eat."
***
While they ate, Mr. Courier explained the metempsychosis method to Nalira and Chelise. As he spoke, their reactions mirrored exactly what Shaan had expected—shock and confusion. Honestly, things like that had never happened in the human world, and even if they had, people would’ve dismissed them as superstition or myth.
"Oh my gosh, so in other words, Shaan’s soul moved into the body of another creature?"
"That’s right," said Dr. Marshall, stirring his hot coffee. "I transferred Shaan’s soul into one of the courier homunculus bodies, which happened to be here."
"... Interesting," said Nalira, stroking her chin. "That’s why the tether didn’t ring at all, even though he was already outside the Twilight Sanctum."
"That’s right," Dr. Marshall nodded. "Actually, this method is risky. The user could lose their identity, but it’s the only way we can do it now because our time is limited," explained Dr. Marshall. "The second trial will be held tomorrow, and we have to gather evidence as quickly as possible."
"Uhm... Yes, I agree with what Dr. Marshall said," said Chelsie as she sipped the meat soup made by Dr. Marshall. "So, you’ve definitely found a lot of evidence to prove, right?"
