CHAPTER 414: CHAPTER 243 ZOMBIE MONSTER, XILIZAN (TWO-IN-ONE)_2

Swordfish Eye couldn’t help but shiver.

Faced with the interrogation, Qin Shou glanced at the leftover fish in his hand and decided to stall for time—at least until he finished eating.

"That’s right, Dead Fish Eye, big bro. Thanks to your cooperation, I was able to drive away Luanyan and Flower Eye so quickly."

Qin Shou’s mouth was stuffed with fish meat. While he was smiling, he didn’t seem the least bit villainous or scheming.

But Swordfish Eye didn’t dare underestimate him. Shielding Charming Eyes behind him, his four eyes glowed faintly.

"Ungh..."

"Hah..."

Four Monster Puppets crashed to the ground with a deafening thud, kicking up a violent sandstorm, dirtying the grilled fish in Qin Shou’s hand.

Qin Shou looked regretful as he tossed the grilled fish into the river and pulled out a napkin to wipe the grease off his hands.

"Dead Fish Eye, do you know what happens to those who waste food?" His expression grew dark.

Swordfish Eye sneered, "You Earth people are nuts. Just because it gets dirty doesn’t mean it’s inedible. You threw the food yourself—why blame me?"

Qin Shou cursed, "What the hell? You dare talk back to me? Wanna die?!"

With a thunderous roar, a massive Space Gate materialized in the void. Over a dozen gargantuan creatures charged out, their hulking forms blotting out half the sunlight in the sky.

"Impossible! Even for an Earthly Beast Tamer..."

Swordfish Eye didn’t even have time to be shocked before he found himself barely holding on amidst the onslaught of over a dozen Synthetic Monsters. There was no way he could spare attention for Charming Eyes.

"Roar..."

"Howl..."

"Boom boom..."

The roars of the giant beasts shook the heavens, and the ground trembled violently. As the battle shifted to the river, the splashes from the beasts’ brawling turned into a torrential spray, transforming into a stunning rainbow bridge under the sunlight.

Beneath the resplendent rainbow bridge, Qin Shou leisurely approached the calmly smiling Charming Eyes, his lips curling into a slight smirk.

"You two must be together~ together~ together~!"

Qin Shou kicked and smashed the loudspeaker blaring the music, irritation writ large on his forehead.

"Groot! Who taught you this? Can’t you see your master is in the middle of—ugh—handling serious business?" He snapped, turning his head and shouting.

Startled, Groot hastily used his branches to form the shape of Big Big Wolf in an attempt to distance himself from the blame.

Qin Shou facepalmed. Who taught them to act like this? Can’t anything ever go smoothly for me?

"Sigh!"

With a wave of his hand, he strode towards Charming Eyes and slapped them hard on the head.

"What’s so funny? Starting now, you’re my prisoner." Qin Shou barked, hands on his hips.

Charming Eyes clutched their head, their face a picture of disbelief.

No way... Mother said that in the face of danger, as long as I hid my fear, the enemy would hesitate and not dare to act.

So, did Mother lie to me?

Or... was my smile actually the problem?

Suddenly, Qin Shou delivered another slap to the top of Charming Eyes’ head.

"What are you glaring at me for?

Big deal, so you’ve got lots of eyes?

Look at all those eyes you have—don’t you know you’re ugly as hell?

Strutting around like you own the place and even daring to ask me to wash your underwear.

If Dead Fish Eye hadn’t volunteered to handle that disgusting chore, trust me, I’d have yanked off my own underwear and shoved it on your head as a blindfold.

What? You’re not backing down? Still staring at me? Let me tell you, you’re lucky.

If I wasn’t too full and in a good mood earlier, I’d have slapped you to death on the spot.

And no badmouthing my writing in your head to pad word count or whatever..."

After this prolonged tirade, Charming Eyes clasped their ears in agony, their gaze filled with unprecedented rage.

"Damn you, Earthling! You dare call me ugly? I’ll make you pay!"

Charming Eyes’ expression turned feral as they let out a piercing scream. Their six Magic Eyes suddenly radiated a bloody light, as if a terrifying divine bird were screeching within, piercing through the heavens.

In an instant, Qin Shou recalled the ultimate move Xiong Mu never managed to unleash.

"Wait, don’t tell me... another Undying Monster?!"

His eyes lit up as he prepared to capture both Charming Eyes and the monster within their Magic Eye for the System Space.

However, the situation shifted rapidly, and the monster inside the Magic Eye awoke faster than Qin Shou anticipated.

"Screeech!!!"

The shriek echoed through the skies, and at such a close distance, Qin Shou’s eardrums instantly burst from the sound. His mind reeled, and his consciousness blurred.

"Boom!!"

Moments later, the bloody Magic Eye shot out a beam of white light, triggering a sky-scorching blaze of blue flames that coalesced into a massive Blue Flame Phoenix.

The phoenix howled in ecstasy, its body engulfed in intense blue flames that seemed to distort the very fabric of space with their searing heat.

Below, swathes of forest ignited in towering blue blazes, the river’s water vaporized, and dense steam quickly enveloped the surface.

The monsters battling in the river instinctively halted, looking up at the hovering Blue Flame Phoenix in the sky, their bodies trembling from the immense pressure and scorching heat.

On the riverbank, Qin Shou’s clothes spontaneously caught fire. Groot slapped the flames out, but they ignited again almost immediately.

Revitalized by Life Energy, Qin Shou recovered quickly; his burst eardrums regenerated, and his mind cleared.

Stripping off the tattered remains of his clothes, he stood bare-chested, gazing grimly at the nearly omnipotent Blue Flame Phoenix above.

Grabbing the weakened Charming Eyes, whose Magic Eyes were bleeding, he demanded, "What is that thing?"

Charming Eyes glanced bitterly at the phoenix and offered a pained smile.

"It’s the sealed monster my mother gave me before I left. It’s meant to ensure, as a Six-eyed Demon, I won’t disgrace the family even if I’m captured. It’s a tool for mutual destruction."

Qin Shou shook his head. "You Demon Eye Star People are really something. What level is this monster?"

"In your Earth terms, it’s a Nightmare Six-star Monster."

Charming Eyes laughed weakly, "Earthling, you and your monsters will all be reduced to nothing under this Blue Flame Phoenix’s annihilating heat..."

"Shut up, you’re so damn chatty."

Qin Shou casually tossed Charming Eyes into the System Space, then stood up to face the hovering Blue Flame Phoenix.

Having the word "Undying" in its name doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an Undying Monster.

As long as it’s not an Undying Monster, there’s a chance to fight it.

Because...

Taking advantage of the phoenix’s euphoric state of newfound freedom, Qin Shou summoned the System Interface and pulled up a pre-prepared synthesis formula.

[Undead Worm] + [T-Rex Body] + [Third-level Energy Absorption and Transformation Device]

The Undead Worm was too disgusting, and Qin Shou didn’t want its genes making Monkey Bro or any Synthetic Monster unbearably gross.

Even though Monkey Bro could use "72 Transformations," sticky, slimy secretions were impossible to cover up.

Thus, Qin Shou had to synthesize it into an equally disgusting monster.

Cost: 500,000 Synthesis Points. Nightmare Five Stars monster.

Name: Ultraman Tiga Zombie Monster, Xilizan!

With the synthesis complete, the Blue Flame Phoenix in the sky finally turned its gaze towards the monsters below.

"Buzz!!"

The Space Gate reopened, and Qin Shou recalled his remaining Synthetic Monsters into the System Space, leaving behind only the Monster Puppets controlled by Swordfish Eye to roar in terror.

Swordfish Eye’s expression was filled with dread, staring at the Blue Flame Phoenix diving toward him. His body, weighed down by its fearsome aura, felt as though it were trapped in quicksand.

As the terrifying heat intensified, his skin shriveled and blistered with burn marks.

"No!!"

Just as Swordfish Eye was about to be incinerated by the blue flames, the Space Gate appeared once more. A massive, putrid creature slammed down, squashing Swordfish Eye to death first.

"Roar!!!"

The moment the colossal creature landed, the overwhelming stench it emitted caused the Blue Flame Phoenix, mid-dive, to retch and hastily beat its flaming wings to retreat higher into the sky.

With the phoenix retreating, the suffocating heat eased slightly, giving Qin Shou some respite.

But he knew the crisis wasn’t over!

In the river, the stinking monster resembled a severely rotted yet animated Hillbagon. Although the decayed "Hillbagon" lacked ram horns, it was unmistakably grotesque.

A Zombie Monster: Xilizan!

A being that nearly devoured Ultraman Tiga alive.

Xilizan shared a superficial resemblance to Hillbagon due to using the same "suit design."

However, Qin Shou, flush with funds, hadn’t merged the lovable Hillbagon into Xilizan.

Taking advantage of Xilizan’s stiffness as it awkwardly searched for him, Qin Shou pinched his nose and used the Unrivaled Dragon Transformation Card to dive into the river’s reflection, entering the Mirror World.

Nothing was safer than the Mirror World.

No need to endure the stench, he could watch the monsters slug it out from a safe distance, and there was no risk of Xilizan turning on him...

Qin Shou paused mid-thought as if something struck him.

Perhaps he’d just discovered an even better way to use the Mirror World!
