CHAPTER 2681: 2681. RANDOM MEETING

The speed which the party left was enough that they did not have to worry about many parting words. However, the golem that the true earth sage had also remained back leaving them just moving alone. That was until in the distance they saw the border of the earth elemental plane. However, it was not to another elemental alpine, it was to something a little more chaotic.

They could sense the water elemental plane nearby, hence why Walker did not appear to be surprised when he noticed that besides the border there was a significant amount of ice in the distance.

"I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure we are not going outside of here for a while." Gil sighed as he said it. Mostly because with his eyesight he could see a little more detail than what the other could.

"Why do you say that? We have gone through everything." The huff that Remey was starting to throw was quickly broken down as soon as they noticed the larger ice on the distance moving.

"Because that is a water dragon wearing ice armor and moving through the heart elemental plane with what I am pretty sure is a water golem on its back." The single finger Gil raised was pointing at the large dragon’s back where a smaller mass of water was somewhat holding a humanoid shape, actually, it seemed the shape was more akin to what an elf would look like. potentially meaning that the true water sage had taken this shape as a golem so that it was more akin to what the party had met in terms of other races lately within Genesis.

"Travelers, I come to you carrying the will of the true sage of water and the desire for the water king to wish you well." The words boomed out bringing a flow of water and cold along the entire area. The dragon seemed to be making the area more acclimated to water mana using a territory related skill so that the true water sage could push in to the earth elemental plane temporarily. It wasn’t an invasion but a way to speak safely without the party needing to venture in to the water elemental plane.

"We are surprised that you and the true water sage are here. We haven’t expected that we could come this close since we were given assistance to reach this outer edge of the earth elemental plane." Walker took the lead as the earth around them entirely stopped shifting and it seemed that the skills the true earth sage used to help them push through space utilizing earth mana ended.

While extremely helpful for them, this left the party a little stiff since they had been in the same position for a bit of time. But they were glad to stop but a little less glad to find themselves in the cold unexpectedly.

"I asked this guardian to bring my golem here to let you know that the demissaries have arrived within the water elemental plane. They are currently meeting with the exalted mermaid race, they are unlike the merfolk who came here and are the forefathers of the siren monsters of your world." The true water sage seemed to be acting with respect in the sense that they wished for the party to know what the emissaries were doing.

This made the entire party feel a lot more relaxed since they knew that good conversations were being had about their people and the new races that Genesis did not have right now. "They made great efforts to assist the exalted mermaid race when they found that there was a green leach parasite assailing their people. It came from a new elemental plane added to the greater water elemental plane. I assumed you would return to Genesis sooner and would like to reward them for their efforts."

Now the party took their own looks of surprise. Su specifically recalled how some parasitic monsters were extremely hard to handle. "They brought potions and healers who specialized in using water magic. They had the right skills in the right place as if fate itself blessed them. I believe that they deserve recognition but can not reward them myself." The water golem seemed to lose strength for a moment.

That made it clear that the true water sage was extremely busy or was handling something that taxed them greatly.

This went right along with the fact that the added smaller elemental planes were creating stress for the elemental kings and the true sages alike. However, if the issue with these green leech parasites was so bad that the true water sage made a point to catch the party and let them know, it must have been major.

Just being able to assist in an issue that helped an entire race was huge. Even more so when the Genesis alliance from the world was looking to build bonds. Even more so when the entire water elemental plane was having issues due to the origin beings expanding it.

"Thank you for taking the time to let us know, we were unaware of their travels just yet. Is there something else though?" Walker didn’t hesitate to ask if there was more they needed to know. There was just something he felt was a little off about this.

"You are about to venture in to the putter elemental planes. You have been in areas like that before." The golem shifted again before reforming. "There are several smaller water elemental planes out there. Please examine them if you can for the green leech persisted. They should not be allowed to enter the greater water elemental plane with the dangers they bring. Disease, illness, poison, and death is all they bring with out predators to hunt them."

"We will take care to check when we have the chance," Su spoke ahead of the others. She did not see why they as heroes would turn any blind eyes to such an issue of possible to handle it.

"I would appreciate that. In return, I will ensure that when the water elemental plane is connected near your city there are races ready to visit and trade." The water golem began to dissipate as the large water dragon began moving away from where it had come.

The meeting was unexpected and short. Yet, none of the party felt it was wrong or broke their travel plans up. It was simple for them to look in to anything that they saw while they traveled. It was even easier to understand the reasons why the true water sage had gone to these lengths.

"It sounds like they are working hard." The pride in Onyx’s tone was very clear. It led Midnight to nudge him a bit since he was acting like a proud father and not so much like he was out in dangerous lands exploring unexplored places.

"I think it’s good to know that the emissaries who worked hard and trained to have these opportunities are living up to and beyond the expectations we had." Alice summed it up perfectly and rewarding them for their efforts would go without being said.

"So, what’s the plan from here? Just all out in to that?" As much as Remey was just being blunt, she was genuine with her questioning.

Ahead of them, everyone could see the break down of earth that led to a more ambiguous dark mixing of manas that somewhat seemed to form ground but not really.

"That, isn’t just nothingness or some chaotic area out there." Walker could tell he sensed much more than the last time he was in a similar position. He knew very well he could use other manas to protect himself and the others while they moved safely. Their own internal manas would allow for them to move freely. But why was that?

"That is a space elemental plane made to hold all the smaller elemental planes. The outer elemental planes are different than what I called them or even understood at the time. I couldn’t understand that the origin being were focusing space mana around everything to protect them from chaotic manas and to hold the smaller elemental planes they were growing so they could add them to the greater elemental planes."

Everyone looked at him but realized that Walker was just standing there with his jaw dropped in awe. His expression told them that he wasn’t just amazed because it was such a large area, but because he hadn’t comprehended the possibility last time.

"We have so much to learn. Everyone has the mana gems and gear ready to travel through here right? Anything we need to prepare?" He wasn’t leaving any holes that could harm them. He was going to be ready for anything they could encounter. This wasn’t a simple exploration. This was a trial for each of them to face and grasp great knowledge from.
