CHAPTER 2683: 2683. YOUNG BUT STRONG

The silence between these elemental planes and walking through the larger area denser in space mana was unnerving. The sound of nature was long gone. Even the sound that came with just the flow of mana causing changes and little effects not being there was gone entirely making the party feel just a bit more tense even with some excitement to look in on other smaller less developed elemental planes.

Remey had been the one to rush right next to the bright fire elemental plane. Her focus was natural since she might learn a few more things about the fire elemental manas and what she could do in terms of alchemy. She also could vaguely sense the high density of the fire mana and knew that it was beneficial to her physically if she were to get some of it to absorb.

The rest of the party understood this. These small elemental planes might be unique since they had not developed more within the greater elemental plane that matched them. They also might have new herbs and monsters living within. Especially one that had such dense fir mana and was significantly smaller from what they could see elsewhere.

’Condensed fire elemental plane

Having been discovered after a collision of multiple elemental planes, this smaller fire elemental plane seems to have been put under great pressure due to that chaotic event. As such the mana within was purified and condensed causing it to be much more potent than the majority of chaotic fire mana moving through the outer planes.

This unique condensed fire elemental plane has a high potential for creating new life unseen by the greater fire elemental plane due to the life mana also within. The life mana is able to thrive with the purer fire mana due to the high density as well. Since this is the case some beings would find this elemental plane as a valuable resource. However, it is under the protection of the origin beings and a guardian...’

"Remey! Stop there!" Knowing that Walker wouldn’t shout at her for no reason, Remey halted. It was just in time too before the red flames around the fire elemental plane split showing off a long legged creature.

’immolation spider

An extremely powerful fire elemental monster capable of utilizing extremely dense fire mana to cause the extinction of other beings around it then consuming the burning manas as sustenance. Being able to burn other manas makes this monster one of the most dangerous of the fire affinity and is why it often lives within the outer elemental planes looking for smaller elemental planes to lay its eggs or find materials in.

Most are free and able to roam in search of sustenance, this one is shackled by an origin being to guard a valuable fire elemental plane that will greatly expand an area of the greater elemental planes. Anything that attempts to harm the fire elemental plane will be consumed by it.

While it is controlled it is not actively controlled which means it is just as dangerous as if it was discovered in the wild...’

Walker moved forward examining the monster. Its red hued body and black widow like shape made it blend in to the fire mana and flames around the dense fire elemental plane. It had all eight eyes fixed on them but its size was several times larger than what Midnight or Onyx would be at their largest size. Its fangs were dripping concentrated flames that would surely be used to burn other manas entirely.

The idea that a monster or being could condense a singular elemental manas to the point that it would break down and destroy other forms of mana and then even use that as sustenance was hard to grasp. It was an intense fact that none of them had considered.

"We can’t touch it because it might think we are bringing it harm. It is guarding the fire elemental plane." Walker spoke softly but realized that the immolation spider was only focusing on him now, as if it could tell he was different and the most powerful.

Yet, Walker didn’t think he could burn other manas using just fire mana. That seemed like something that would take immense control well over what he could do now. He has focused on understanding everything and not specifically on one singular mana overall. But if he were asked dif he could defeat this immolation spider... Well, he might have a chance but it would require almost every ounce of mana and skills he possessed.

A small chittering sound was made by the spider before it backed away, covering itself in flames again to hide. From what Walker could tell, it had accepted that they would not be pushing themselves in to the fire elemental plane and damaging it. "I think it recognized me as another origin race member and didn’t attack or push forward. That thing will attack us though." He wasn’t joking and the entire party felt the weight he put behind his words.

"That’s a protected elemental plane so that it can nourish all of the fire elemental plane and not just be sued by one monster or race. That’s why a guardian was left there by an origin being." Walker explained the rest of the appraisals he had gained using his all around appraisal skill.

"It was strong though. I wonder if I could fight it." The rest of them looked at Remey like she had gone crazy, but then they noticed the same glint in Midnight’s eyes and realized that she too would have charged in to fight the immolation spider if they were all not there to stop them.

"If we had fought it wouldn’t whoever is in control of it arrived to handle us?" Noticing that Gil’s worries were on facing the wrath of a much more powerful origin race member, they all considered it. If they had to face someone that used magic and mana like it was nothing just the same as Walker did but many times more powerful.... They all shook their heads. No way would they do that.

"I think it did offer you something though." Su pointed out the small ball of flames kicked off the fire elemental plane. It drifted toward them and Remey flapped her flame wings to grab it before it began to wrap around her body and she chose to absorb it. There was a hint of blush on her cheeks proving it had stressed her but her toothy grin also said she had gained what she needed. Since she had bound her soul and body together becoming a very unique being even in the fire elemental planes, she had needed fire mana to survive as well. Meaning that dense and pure fire mana like this helped her greatly.

"So it recognized you as someone important enough to give some mana to. I bet that’s how the origin begins to test if the elemental plane is ready to be brought to the others." Alice’s small epiphany made Walker blink a few times in shock. It made a lot of sense since it would take a lot of time and effort to help these elemental planes become ready to join the greater elemental planes.

"So which one do we check next brother?" Onyx’s own curiosity was not simple. He too wished to see what else they could find. And with the mixing manas bleeding around this space, they knew more elemental aliens were around here.

"I think we aim for that cluster over there. It looks like two water elemental planes are mixing and I don’t know what the other two are." Now this was interesting to everyone. Walker, who used the appraisal skill and always seemed to know something about everything wasn’t sure which elemental planes he could see ahead of him?

Forget that there were two water elemental planes mixing together and uniting in to one that would most likely hasten the time that they had to join the greater water elemental plane. The two other planes could be unique to the point that they were worth investigating. Something that now one else had ever seen would be massive for their exploration.

With a pep in everyone’s step they began moving faster toward the cluster. The vibrant blue of water and ice making it clear that they were lucky to be here to both see if those green leech parasites were around and also that a high chance of them discovering something extra unique was there.

’I just hope we can actually take a look this time. I don’t want to see some monster like that spider that can make us in to nothing but food for them." Gil sighed a bit knowing that he wouldn’t want to see any more powerful monsters like anything else they had just seen. But they were out there. Powerful monsters and beings were here too.
