Chapter 2692. Some Items
CHAPTER 2692: 2692. SOME ITEMS
Walker could just start doing more to improve the lives of the white stage race. However, he didn’t want to make it seem like he was taking over. He did not wish to become a new leader for them and interfere in their lives too dramatically. Especially to the point where their current leader may lose the faith of her people.
"You have shown us quite a bit and we have nothing to give you in return." This would be the normal reaction proving that the leader of the white stag village was actually considering the fact that Walker and his party were looking for equal payment.
They had spent their items and mana to ensure that her people were safe and prepared. Meaning that the relationship they wanted should be asking for things as well other than just giving. That was a simple understanding within any alliance overall.
"You can offer us any herbs, knowledge, or whatever you think would be valuable if you want to pay us back. However, I would rather hear you offer that in twenty years or so you will give Genesis a chance to become your ally and maybe even join us. That would put my mind at rest for those who will come looking for races within the greater light elemental plane. Especially their safety when that time comes even if you do not wish to be an ally of Genesis at the time."
Walker looked carefully at the white stag leader’s face. As far as he could tell she was considering his words but she had a surprisingly good poker face that prevented him from getting any other information without prying too far. Not that he felt the need to push for such things right this second.
"We need to focus on protection. This has shown me that the monsters are willing to walk right up to us and our children without a single fear." This was where the facade of a leader cracked ever so slightly. It proved the youth that this young white stage race leader had. She was the leader due to the purity and strength of light amna within her, however, she did not have years and years of knowledge to lean on.
It was clear that the entire village was young and furthermore, that the village needed more time to develop while its people would also grow and develop. "I believe that with the light mana here and a little scouting I can help you build a protective wall for your people. I do believe you and the others with strength should speak with Su, she has already started talking I see, but she is the best defender you could ask for right now. She can teach shield techniques and how to protect one another. She even uses a shield as an offensive weapon too."
This seemed to change the perspective that the white stage leader possessed about what a shield was and should be. Not many even in Genesis would think of a shield as an offensive weapon. Those who had heard of and knew Su would immediately disagree if anyone said a shield was defensive only. Yet, that did not mean that the idea and belief that shields were only for defending would disappear overnight. It took time to change such things.
"I also have the ability to craft you a little bit of weapons or tools if that will help. I can even forge a thing or two if possible. That depends on the light affinity materials we can find here. This place is young but fairly leather. I am sure there are plenty out there I might be able to use." Hearing her positive responses from Walker, the white stag leader thought back to the odd traveler that had appeared and shared knowledge with them. It felt too similar.
"There are other villages we have seen. They did not approach and we did not attempt to. They moved on and we know just a general direction now. They were smaller than us. Now they might be similar in size..."
"If you wish I can take a walk in that direction and see if they would like to join you. Or, once you adapt to what we have to offer you and your people you would be in the position to do so yourself." This was not just a question for Walker to ask them. He wanted to watch and see what she had to say to this.
There was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. While Walker understood that it was the instinct telling a leader that this was a heavier topic than what was to be expected, it also told him she had caught exactly what he intended with this question. "We would like to do such things ourselves but would still like to request your assistance and knowledge." It appeared that he was right in his guess here.
"I would also like to know how you would manage more than one race together. Are there rules? Is there a way to make sure that they would not fight and steal?" Now this was the key beyond the topic that should be searched for.
"Geneisis has contracts that leaders sign. Agreements between their race and Genesis as a whole." Walker gave a firm look. "Equality and growth as a whole is the overall hope and dream of many. There is no fighting or wars permitted. Each race is represented on a council equally. Others of greater strength stand to ensure that these laws are followed. They are unable to abuse this either since there is a council able to keep them in line as well."
The ways that Walker explained this made it clear he was not lying in any means. It was also very clear by the gaze he gave the white stag leader that there would never be an acceptable reason to make one race less than another even if their past was worse off than another race’s. But that was all unspoken. A promise and a dream all in one for the future.
"I do not understand you or the depths of which you speak and know. I do sense sincerity within your words and actions. Thank you for coming here whether it was intentional or a circumstance. Whether the future favors a bond with your alliance or not, we will look forward to the day. I pledge that on my name as the one bathered in white, leader of the white stag race." The sincerity and purity in these words made it feel as if there was more here than a simple promise. Walker didn’t look too deeply though. He took it for what it was and began to take light affinity potions, some armor, shields, and even a few swords that he knew could be used.
The sheer amount of items that he had could not be easily measured. With all the quests he had been giving out along with the fact that he knew he could and most likely would encounter new races, he had brought a larger amount of items varying different subjects. Tools, weapons, armors, and even general goods had all been stored within his multi dimensional storage. The benefits of that was he could do what he was doing now.
"These are all items I can give you to ensure your village grows properly. It is a lot and it is also not much. It is all only valuable to your people if they learn and train with it all themselves. The tools for building and farming are simple and easier to use but they need the same dedication as a sword or shield will." He looked around and then placed his hands on the ground. The light mana affinity soil became to shift and condense.
This shaking shocked the white stage race members who were resting and still looking at the actions of the party in awe. Now, their slight fear gave way to even greater awe as a larger wall of light affinity soil rose up. The ground here being only made of light mana made it strange for Walker to treat it as light earth. However, it was the case for every elemental plane. It was the same yet needed a different touch and focus to alter it.
When he finished, there was a larger wall three times his height with four towers surrounding the village entirely. He had set up a safe haven for them that they would ned to defend and grow as time went on. "This is the least I will do for you. But my party and I will rest here and teach you all what we can. For now, everyone should just rest and get their strength back. I will go and look for some food. I doubt we want to eat the light stalkers." His smile left the white stag leader speechless before Walker left.
