Master Of None
Chapter 2711 2711: 2711. Plenty To Do
While the room had degraded in to a lot of planning focus since every representative believed that their race should show something off, there were also those who were silent mostly because it was their leaders coming. They did not necessarily like the idea since it would be a lot of running around to show off their work while also showing their cooperation with other races.
On top of that, if it was proven that they were not the best representative for the goals that the leaders' themes elves had… Well, it was safe to say that they would not stay the representative.
However, there were situations where it would not be able to be questioned. There were races like the dragons, vampires, echidna, and a few more that entirely lived within Genesis. While it was their leaders entirely or their entire race itself that lived within Genesis territory, there were races that believed in the representatives that they had worked with.
Meaning that if Markus Raven were removed, there would be the demons he educated to be the owners and keepers of Genesis finance who would come to his aid. That if there was someone who tried to tell Scylla she should not stay and remain as the representative, there would be Merfolk coming to stand in front of her and keep her there due to all her work training with them and even helping them make a better form of amphibious combat.
These bonds would show more than what any single king or queen would imagine due to the fact that these bonds were the foundation for Genesis as a whole. Especially since there was the fact that the projects were ongoing and completed already were something that these representatives kept within their hearts to the point that even if they were exiled from their home kingdom they would keep working toward.
There was more to all this though, some kingdoms wouldn't change their representative since they were the future ladder of their race already. Alma for example was already recognized as the united elf queen. She had higher authority in some ways than the forest elf queen. The only reason that Alma ensured that the forest elf queen had higher word right now was because that was her home. The very queen who taught her a lot and would come running no matter what to help her. Plus, she was the person helping her with the bonds that Alma now held with the spirit trees of Genesis.
This fact alone was a bond that no other could relate to since Genesis was integrally connected to the spirit trees and Alma considered herself one with them even if she did not use that power whatsoever. It would be an abuse if she did so for something small anyway. Alma had morals that held her from such abuse. Whereas the forest elf queen was bonded to the forest no matter what. She would not be able to change that and could not live without that connection so she had to use that power at all times.
After some debating, Walker made it clear that setting up special festivals or making too big a deal would be a harder choice than to keep business as usual. There were ideas to have a celebration for accomplishments, but the speeches that the entire party would give had already been decided. Otherwise, there was the idea that keeping things calmer allowed for easier touring of facilities producing goods, markets, and auctions. The leaders could freely travel to Genesis and then meet with one another and the Genesis council when they wished to do so.
This meant easier time guarding them than if there was a massive festival with way too many people around. It also meant that those going about their normal lives who wished to meet with these leaders could make the time to meet them rather than being so trapped in the busy festival that they couldn't even take the time to go home to their families.
All that aside though, it was also a chance for the party to meet with these leaders, some of whom they had not seen in over a year now. It would allow for the party to meet them and share some of their personal insights while addressing any worries that the kingdom as a whole might have when they were coming here to visit. It could stabilize any potential issues before they were even an issue at all.
The biggest risk was that there might be issues with the trade of food specifically. Healing materials like herbs, forging materials, other building materials, and so on could all be somewhat handled. But food was major. It was more than just for Genesis, it was for every kingdom. The organization of food trade and transport has been one of the major focuses since Genesis was founded.
This was because the adaptation of every farm to ensure that both kingdoms and the new building in Genesis was fed had gone a long way. It had caused a grand change in how farming advanced as a whole while also allowing for new forms of farming to come to be seen with the tamer's guild assisting and also herbalists and alchemists joining together. This wasn't even speaking of the unique farming classes discovered or the mages that now focused on farming with their magic.
"My king will be present and I believe he will want to see the Colosseum. To demi-humans the battles we fight are part of who we are. That means I want to hold a youth tournament with promising fighters. Some may even receive offers to visit or work in the kingdom as a whole." Scylla knew this was a focus and everyone else had expected this coming.
"That's a good idea, I should assume that the king of the deep caves may push for a small display of forging?" Walker looked toward the representative of the dwarves. It would have been the king of the deep caves, but this attendant had taken over and acted as an extension of the king of the deep caves.
"No, he would prefer to see the progress and not interrupt the work. He had been working so well, the kings of my kingdom would be more angered if they did anything to break the progress being made." That was a good thing. Walker knew that he would be able to expect easier times from the dwarves as a whole. Their three kings handled the people, the living situation, and the material management. They each had roles but they worked together and trusted the word of one another.
"Then that means business as usual. Perfect." Walker made that the decision right then and there. It was simpler. It was basically just the deep king checking to make sure that the other king's worries would be covered and he could venture back to their kingdom with praise rather than reprimand toward Genesis.
"I believe that my king is not coming simply because he wishes to see Genesis. He is bringing the queen and his little one for a small vacation and to bring back important education materials to increase the education process with other races for the human population and human villages." Now this was surprising. Markus Raven seemed to understand it better and Walker gave him a nod.
"The educational system has taken hold of the Human population and their curiosity for the other races is growing. Meaning that many more might get the wrong ideas about races and cultures. That being the case, we wish to see the truth and the falsehoods separated. So I will be requesting several copies of books about each race to be brought back and increase the quality of education." Markus Raven stood proud. This was a goal worth having.
"The forest elf queen is coming to bring back extinct herbs not being produced here. We will give her samples to tie roots to the main root and bring back to the forest where conservation efforts have already begun. She wishes to also see the elves better so she can allow the memories of our ancestors to feel it all…" Alma trailed off. For the elves, the state they were in now was a major benefit.
They had regained their lost high elf history and nature. This wasn't so much as a checkup as it was a moment to allow the feelings and the goals they achieved to be seen. To burn that memory in to the forest where their ancestors' spirits remained always watching and protecting their people. For the elves, it was a goal and also a celebration to some degree.
"Then we have achievable goals. Let's get to work and see what we can do." Walker summed it all up and also showed that this should be the end of the meeting. They had projects and goals, they also had some fun events coming their way. He was genuinely excited to be home knowing all of this.
