Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers
Chapter 317: Sis, Let Me Introduce Them
CHAPTER 317: SIS, LET ME INTRODUCE THEM
(Author’s POV)
"We are waiting for my sister. But~ .... why isn’t she here yet? It’s been a while now," Wendy murmured as she glanced at the restaurant’s entrance.
Inside, Myra was about to have a meltdown. She was filled with the thought of getting discovered by Elio and Dion. Last night, she had a narrow escape with Alaric and now this. Her head was buzzing with sirens. Shutting her eyes tightly, she mumbled to herself, "Ohh god~ .... What should I do? Please~ .... help me. Please."
Then she heard Wendy’s voice, saying, "Let me go and check up on her."
Myra wanted to run away and escape, but she couldn’t. She knew that very well. Because if she did, it would result in even bigger chaos. She peeked outside and saw Wendy coming inside, her hands tightly gripping onto Amy’s scarf. All of a sudden, she was hit by an idea.
Wendy stepped inside and was about to head to the washroom. But before she could, Myra called out to Wendy, her voice came out hoarse and heavy, "Wends~ ...."
Wendy shifted her attention to the source of the voice, and her eyes narrowed at the sight. In a rather puzzling voice, she inquired, "Sis~ ...? What is~ .... Why are you wearing the scarf like that?"
With her quick and desperate thinking, Myra had tied Amy’s scarf, which was able to cover most of her face. She hastily concealed her eyes with her bangs so that the Everests’ brothers couldn’t recognize her.
Calming her nerves down, she then approached Wendy and said, her voice sounding scratchy, "I started~ .... feeling itchiness in my throat and a bit .... cold. I am having a runny nose as well."
"Ohh gosh~ ... we should go to a doctor then," Wendy suggested worriedly.
"No~ no~ .... It isn’t that bad. Maybe it is because of last night. The beach was too windy and I was in a backless gown. Anyways~ ... I will be fine after getting a good rest," Myra muttered.
Wendy nodded as they both headed out. With every step she took, Myra’s heart raced a mile a minute. She was too damn nervous as anxiety was creeping up on her.
Dion and Elio saw Wendy coming out, followed by a girl whom they assumed was probably her sister. The two of them were taken aback, as well as astonished by how bizarrely the person had covered her face.
Amy scrunched her nose as well, as she walked towards Myra and asked, "What happened? Why are you covering your face like that?"
Myra’s fists tightened on the side. She didn’t want to take the risk and utter a word. She knew these extraordinary werewolves had sharp senses. If they catch her voice, they will definitely know who she is.
Wendy thought she wasn’t answering because of her scratchy throat, so she answered on her behalf, "Sis~ .... isn’t feeling well. She is having a sore throat and running down a cold as well. She doesn’t want others to catch it as well." She then added, "I asked her to see a doctor, but she says she wants to go home and rest."
"Oh~ my," Amy gasped. "That won’t do. We should probably go to a hospital for a thorough check up," Amy said. Her voice was laced with concern.
Both Elio and Dion had been eyeing the conversation as well as the situation from the side. Their eyes were stuck on Myra’s figure with curiosity. Something about her intrigued both of them. But they didn’t know what it was, and neither did their wolves.
Elio then uttered and suggested, "May I take a look? I am studying medicine, so I know a thing or two. Maybe I could help."
"Ohhh yeah~ ... I totally forgot about that," Wendy exclaimed.
Myra kept her head down, her eyes were lowered as well, but she could clearly see Elio walking towards her. His pristine white sneakers came into her line of sight. Elio raised and extended his hand to check her temperature, but when his fingers were just about to brush Myra’s forehead, she backed away without saying a word.
This action of hers not just puzzled Elio but the other three present as well. Wendy also noticed her sister’s uncharacteristic behaviour and came to the conclusion that she was being uncomfortable because, apparently, Elio was a stranger to her. She smacked her forehead and said, "Silly me. I totally forgot to introduce you, sis."
Wendy then stepped beside Myra and said, "Sis~ .... This is Mr. Elio Everests and Mr. Dion Everests." She introduced them as she pointed them out.
Without uttering a word, Myra nodded repeatedly. She just wanted to get out of this absurd situation as fast as possible. Then Wendy added, "And this is my elder sister. The one I was telling you about. My~ ..." as she was about to take her name, Myra started coughing violently.
Getting distracted, Wendy shifted her attention towards her sister and patted her back soothingly. She said, her voice etched with concern, "I think we should follow Mrs. Garcia’s advice and go to a hospital."
Elio added as well, "Maybe it is a lung infection. You guys should hurry up." Though he was talking to Wendy, his eyes never left Myra’s figure. He just had this sense of familiarity coming from her as if he had met her before.
But even when they were standing in such close proximity, he couldn’t quite tell why he was feeling that way. The scent that was coming from her, he hadn’t smelt such a distinct fragrance before. He wanted to touch her once and check it, but he could tell, somehow, the person in front of him didn’t want any physical contact from him. And he~ .... wasn’t someone who would make others uncomfortable knowingly.
On Amy’s signal, Harris opened the car’s door and waited for them to enter the vehicle. Amy held Myra from the side and said, "Come~ .... let’s take you to the hospital." She then looked at Elio and Dion and said, "Let’s meet some other time."
"Sure," Dion answered. His eyes wandered in Myra’s direction every now and then. He had already sensed that this girl was trying to avoid them on purpose.
Myra, alongside Amy, quickly took the backseat, while Wendy said her goodbyes to the brothers, "Well then, I will see you around."
Elio then said, "I will be leaving for Kimberg. My flight is in a few hours. But let’s keep in touch."
Wendy nodded and stepped inside the car as well.
The car zoomed off as Dion commented while looking at the departing vehicle, "Is it just me, or did you also think the elder sister was trying to avoid us?"
"Maybe she is the shy type, or maybe she was just feeling uncomfortable because we were strangers to her," Elio answered.
"Makes sense. Maybe she was just overwhelmed to see us. After all, it is not every day that one gets to see the handsome Lycan brothers, right?" Dion said haughtily.
Elio rolled his eyes at the remark and replied, "I know you are my elder brother, and I should say this, but you sometimes act too cocky."
"What? Can I even speak the truth now? Eli~ .... ohh~ .... Eli, you are just too naïve for your own good," Dion said in a matter of fact tone. "Anyways~ .... Now, that your friend has gone. Shall we have our meal?"
"You have your meal. I will go to Brother Rave’s side," Elio uttered.
"Aye~ hey~ .... you are ditching me as soon as your work is done. BRAVO!" Dion started clapping exasperatedly. "But my silly little, clueless brother, you forgot to ask your friend’s name, right?"
Elio was dumbfounded as Dion laughed at his expression. He really hadn’t asked Wendy for her name.
Dion then raised his eyebrows and commented, "This cocky brother of yours does know it. But~ .... in order to know that, you need to do what I say."
Closing his eyes in embarrassment, and sighed heavily, "Fine~ .... Fine~ .... It is just a meal. Let’s get that over with." Dion patted his head and started heading inside, "Good boy. Now, follow me."

"Are you feeling drowsy as well, Myra?" Amy asked as she gazed at her concernedly. "Harris, drive faster."
Myra, feigning a strained voice, muttered, "I~ am~ .... alright. After taking some medicine~ .... and getting some rest, I will be good to go. No need to go~ .... to the hospital."
"Absolutely not. We must go to the hospital," Amy remained adamant as Wendy backed her up. "Mrs. Garcia is right. We should take any risk, sis. As Mr. Elio said, it can be a bad lung infection."
With no choice in hand, Myra kept quiet. After all, she couldn’t just say that she was pretending to have a cough and a cold. She had to carry the act and see through it.
It took merely ten minutes of driving, thanks to Harris’s skills as he took them to Esteria’s top notch private hospital.
