Baoli Hot Spring Hotel is located at the end of Gui Kai Road, about an hour’s drive from Kaiyang.

And the last one was from Hoshino Mika.

Chen Cheng sat on the sofa and returned Xiao Meier’s call first.

The video connected quickly.

Xiao Meier was still at the shop, she waved her hand, “Can you hear me?”

“I can.”

Chen Cheng nodded, the room’s warm yellow light falling on his face, alleviating some of the day’s tiredness.

“Is it very cold there?” Xiao Meier asked with concern: “Are the clothes you brought enough?”

“They’re enough.” Chen Cheng said with a smile, “My suitcase was almost bursting because of you.”

Xiao Meier glared at Chen Cheng cutely,

“Miffed that I packed too much? I was just worried you’d forget things. Guiyang has a big temperature difference between day and night, it’s always right to bring more clothes, to avoid catching a cold.”

Chen Cheng quickly smiled apologetically, “How could that be? I’m just thankful, Meier is the best.”

“Stop with the sweet talk,”

Xiao Meier complained verbally, but couldn’t help smiling,

“Seriously though, take care of yourself there, don’t just focus on work, eat on time, don’t stay up late. The dietary habits there are different from here, if you’re not used to it, ask the hotel to make something light, don’t make yourself suffer.”

Chen Cheng, watching her on the video, smiled faintly, “Alright, you should go back to rest.”

“Xiao Hai isn’t around, are you taking a taxi back?” he suddenly remembered this concern.

“Yeah, what else, am I supposed to walk home?” Xiao Meier stretched lazily, “I’m dead tired.”

“Then when I’m back, I’ll give you a massage.”

“Hahaha,” Chen Cheng sighed, “Okay, got to hang up now, I’ve still got things to take care of here.”

Xiao Meier nodded, “Alright! Get some rest early.”

“Send me a message when you get home.”

“Sure.”

After hanging up the video call, Chen Cheng hesitated between Wen Shulin and Hoshino Mika.

Since returning from Japan, he and Mei Xiang had stayed in contact quite often.

This young girl would share every little detail of her life with Chen Cheng every day, whether it was significant events at her company or a small cat by the road, as if she wanted to show him her whole world.

But video calling was a first.
