Chapter 167: X Guardian Hall
CHAPTER 167: X GUARDIAN HALL
It was a full-on attire.
A coat, an innerwear, trousers, and finally a shoe; looking through the glass walls, there were a total of 3 of each.
A full-on defense gadget like this would enable even an ordinary X-grade to take on a W-grade with little trouble, and a W-grade to take on a V-grade, though that might be a little difficult.
Even so, it must have cost at least hundreds of thousands of NvDollars.
Yet, the glass boxes held more than just clothing.
There were other gadgets, but one especially caught Everlearn’s attention.
It was a glass box, filled with floating golden lights that radiated from the object inside.
A weapon, and they were dual pistols!
Everlearn opened the box, his hands reaching and grabbing both pistols.
The second he did, the golden motes of light drifting off the weapon coalesced around his hands before dispersing into his skin, and in the next moment, he felt a weird familiarity.
"That is the X-Pistol, carefully crafted by the X-Guardian Tech Research Lab. "
"It’s an energy weapon given to every X-Guardian and only usable by one, possessing enough power to pierce through even a Grade W protective armor."
The AI voice introduced it as Everlearn looked at the guns.
They had a very sharp, angular design, runic drawings over their surfaces that stirred with energy,
He could sense the probably rechargeable battery held behind the weapon, pressing it pressed down hard on the wrist, hence proving even more stability.
"Looks nice," he mused to himself, but still returned it.
Piercing through a Grade W armor was impressive, but that also meant it would likely only cause a slight sting to V-grade Corers.
Everlearn’s punch can blow a W-grade Corer to paste and send a V-grade flying through buildings.
A weapon like that was low-grade compared to one of his punches, so it would mostly be a letdown, though it might excel in certain scenarios.
Still, that made it feel less impressive.
There was a watch held in another of the glass boxes.
He brought it out, noticing it was a tech gadget with a usable screen.
There was a note requiring him to wear it on his wrist to access full features, but he decided to go through some of the content first.
In less than ten seconds of scrolling, he understood its purpose.
After less than ten seconds of scrolling, he grasped its function.
The device showed the tower map and tracked stats, completed missions, accepted missions, and those still pending.
Of course, all of it was currently at zero, but it still gave Everlearn an important piece of information: X-Guard Missions...
There was an area in the tower called the Mission Room where X-Guardians could take on missions.
’That’s my ticket outside,’ he thought quietly, and in the next moment, he decided.
Across from the bedroom was another wall, behind which lay an impressive bathhouse with its own tub.
But he didn’t have time to slouch around in that.
Everlearn quickly showered, cleaned himself, and dressed in the full attire.
Looking into the mirror, Everlearn was impressed by the fit of the attire.
The inner shirt was plain and short-sleeved, while the trousers hugged his legs neatly, stopping at his ankles.
The coat stood out, falling just short of his knees, and the high collar shielded his face from beneath the nose.
It made it such that only from his eyes up could be seen, and that made his piercing blue eyes even more sharply piercing.
The blue of his hair perfectly matched his attire, giving him the aura of a futuristic super-soldier.
It was the first attire Everlearn gave a nod to after seeing it in the mirror.
Everlearn rarely paid attention to how he looked, yet this time, even he had to approve.
He walked to a glass box and fastened the watch to his wrist, the long sleeves of his coat concealing it effortlessly.
Next, he retrieved the guns, slipping them smoothly into his coat.
Why had he eventually taken it?
Because he felt some situations required a simple BANG! rather than a KABOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The gun could give him that simple BANG!, so he decided to keep it in the end.
With this, he was ready to go out on his first X-Guard Mission!

It was a wide hall in the upper layer of the tower.
They called it the X-Guardian Hall, and X-Guardians flowed through the halls in constant motion.
True to Gine’s words, all wore the matching attire, most in black, the color that matched their hair.
This made Everlearn’s blue attire especially striking as he stepped through the wide-open doors of the hall.
There were a lot of hanging holographs everywhere his eyes followed, with a couple of X-Guardians patrolling around here and there.
A few other staff stood out, wearing the X-Guardian attire but paired with formal black office suits.
There were three women and two men attending to the X-Guardians.
Everlearn walked up to one of the hanging holograms.
The display showed extensive information, with missions clearly defined, ranging from attacking a corrupted organization to probing into recent events, each with its corresponding location.
Noticing a search option, Everlearn quickly clicked and typed out a location.
"Cornando City."
It was the location of the Bigger Mechara Organization that had sent Mecha Eva to their Mechara Organization in Elloscious City.
If he wanted to find her, that was the place to start. All he needed now was a mission near that city to give him a reason to be there.
But just as he was scrolling through missions, a head suddenly popped from the side.
"Cor..nan..do City, huh?"
"And why will you be interested in such a place as your first mission?"
