CHAPTER 39: THE REVENGE BEGINS (II)

"So the one behind her is the Mechara Organization from Cornando. They sent her to come test, but obviously, there was more to that."

It was the Higher Mechara Organization itself.

"To think, I had poured in all my blood, sweat, and tears just to gain admission into that higher organization," Everlearn muttered, chuckling mockingly at himself.

[She’s very dangerous, you know that, right?] The system panel linked as Ryu’s voice gleamed.

"Truly, she is."

Mecha Eva wasn’t someone who gained power and was told to kill simply because she could with her new power.

If his information was right—which it should be—then she had already murdered at eight years old, joined a gang at twelve to fourteen, and terrorized an entire city.

Got sent to jail and survived, and now she had fused with a Mecha Module.

And while the Mecha module she had used before was an Anomalous Grade X, she had also mentioned to Everlearn that her reward for completing this mission was to be given a Mecha W-Core.

If she indeed had been fused with that, then she wasn’t some small fry.She was a true terror, not to be trifled with.

"I need an estimate on her current power," Everlearn muttered, shifting in his chair, sitting upright, and getting to work.

The first thing he did was pull out all the journals he had on the power of Mecha W-Cores—both lower average and peak.

Seven hours later, Everlearn leaned back, turning to the laptop.

"It’s insane," he mused to himself.

Everlearn had known the reason why the Anomalous Grade X Core he created was such a success, so he definitely knew the full max power of that Mecha Module.

It was five times the base strength of an adult human.

According to the system’s stats, ten was the average strength of a kid, and twenty was the average start of a child.

If Mecha Eva back then had five times more base power than a regular adult, then it was safe to say her stats, back when she had killed them, were around 100.

Right now, Everlearn’s stats were at 60. There was still no way he would have been able to defeat her. Perhaps he could have run away, or at least survived—but killing Mecha Eva at his current strength was impossible.

But it was worth noting that now she had completed her mission. She had been given her reward: a Mecha W-Core module.

A Mecha W-Core module’s lowest average strength was ten times a base adult human’s strength.

An average Mecha W-Core would hold fifteen times an adult human’s strength, while the most abnormal—the anomalous or the peak of a Mecha W-Core—would give the Corer a twenty-five times human strength increase.

If Everlearn was to assume the worst to prepare for the fight, then he had to believe that Mecha Eva somehow got the best of the best and her strength was 25x that of a base human.

If an adult human’s strength was 20 stat points, then 25x meant Mecha Eva’s stats right now, at the peak, were around 500!

And these were just physical quantities. Obviously, she would have obtained weapons, Mecha Arts, or even gotten herself a full Mech!

That could easily boost her power up to 700 stat points.

If Everlearn ever hoped to absolutely crush her with complete confidence, he would need 1000 stat points.Only then would he be able to fully face any Mecha W-Core user and crush them regardless of their tricks.

But reality was, he was only at 60 now.

"She’s far beyond my level," Everlearn muttered.

[You overinflated her stats because you were preparing for her worst.]

[I think the more accurate range will be around 250 stat points, and with any additional weapon or Mecha, just about 400 or so.]

The system blinked before him as Everlearn’s eyebrows creased.

[Still, that’s not a level you can face right now. 400 stat points is no joke.]

It added, and he couldn’t argue with that.

But at least now, he knew it.If he wanted to get a feel for her strength, he needed to grow his stat points to 400. Then he could at least stand toe to toe with her.

"I know just what I need," he muttered, exhaling slightly.

It seemed like an unwalkable road right now, but there was peace in that.

Everlearn’s will solidified.

"Now, I have a goal," he said, and in the next moment, a notification appeared.

[Epic Quest Generated!][Mission: Reach a Base of 400 Stat Points in All Stats.][Rewards:+10 Level-Up Cards!+3 New Awakened Abilities!+3 New Ability Evolution Cards!]

"Oh, a mission for the goal already," Everlearn mused to himself, a glint crossing through his eyes.

The rewards were tempting enough.

"Then this is it—my aim in the Academy."

To reach 400 stat points in all his stats.

Now, the path had never been clearer.

Everlearn rose up, and a moment later, collapsed back into the seat.He had been sitting down for close to thirteen hours now that he had lost strength in his legs.

When he turned on the time display, he was shocked.

"5:30."

Looking at his device, he could see a timer—a reminder that he had a class to attend at exactly 6:30.

"Well, there goes my sleep for the first day," he muttered with a faint grin.

With just one hour left, he wouldn’t crawl to bed, but he wasn’t feeling sleepy either. So he just went back to the bedroom, got himself cleaned up, and twenty minutes later, he was out.

There were still forty minutes before class started, so Everlearn decided to visit one place before then,

The cafeteria.
