CHAPTER 1452: 1,433RD CHAPTER: LEARN FROM EACH OTHER’S STRENGTHS

The British indeed have left, although the ship was much larger and there were many more people, Gao Yang and his group had a gunboat, and that was enough.

Gao Yang watched as the British ship retreated and then slowly sailed out of the harbor.

The leader of the Black Demon turned his gaze to the row of gunboats in front of him and shouted, "Sink them?"

Gao Yang was still watching the British escort ship leaving with its lights on, and the impatient Black Demon leader raised his voice, "Sink them?"

"Huh? Oh, no need to sink them for now. Just leave them be. Looking at it now, there’s no need to sink them."

The leader waved his hand and shouted, "Circle the harbor and take out all the coastal defense points."

The 57mm main gun rotated its barrel, fired twice with a boom, and the shells hit the breakwater. The barrel adjusted slightly and fired another two shots, piercing through the sandbags used as a shield, silencing the firing point.

The boat started moving slowly, and the AK630 at the stern began to rotate rapidly. The gun moved up and down, left and right several times before aiming at a firing point that had not opened fire. A burst of shells swept over it.

The AK630 is used as the last line of defense in a naval ship’s short-range air defense system. It’s a Gatling-type machine gun with a rate of fire of up to three thousand rounds per minute. When manually controlled, with a light press of the trigger, the barrels rotate a few times and dozens of shells are fired.

A 30mm caliber machine gun is overkill for structures made of mere piles of sand. If you miss, it doesn’t matter much, but for fixed targets, as long as you don’t mind using the ammunition, you’ll never miss.

The Black Demon’s equipment can’t fight long-distance battles, but once they got on the ship, the combat range was greatly expanded. Now, Gao Yang’s group just watched as the Black Demon’s men operated the ship’s cannons to blast each target apart.

Gao Yang felt a bit bored. What was supposedly the hardest and most crucial target was taken down with ease, and the effect was countless times better than the best-case scenario they had envisioned.

While Gao Yang was pondering, the leader, however, gestured to Cui Bo and shouted, "Hey, you, what’s your name?"

Cui Bo was stunned for a moment, then immediately said, "Oh, you can just call me Rabbit."

Unintentionally, Cui Bo had started using honorifics.

The leader nodded and shouted, "You’re pretty good, do you want to fire a few shots?"

Cui Bo, pleasantly surprised, pointed to his nose and shouted, "Me? Is that okay?"

The leader gestured again and shouted, "Come over, which gun do you want to fire?"

"Uh, all of them if possible, is that okay?"

"Start with the 57mm main gun, this gun is a bit small, but for naval guns, regardless of caliber, it’s almost the same. Look, do you see that target? Use your eyes, not the radar. These targets can’t be used with fire control radar, let them teach you, fire away."

An old man patted Cui Bo on the shoulder and loudly said, "Sit here, fire away."

Cui Bo was having a great time, even though he wasted over a dozen shells before hitting the target.

The shells on the boat aren’t unlimited. Gao Yang wanted to say, "Save some shells," but he bit his tongue and didn’t say it. Fortunately, Cui Bo knew when to stop. After finally hitting the target, he immediately smiled apologetically and said, "I’ll use the AK630 instead. Who would have thought, I’ve never fired a Gatling gun before, and now I’m using a Gatling cannon."

The leader laughed and said, "Well, give it a try. It’s actually more fun. Watching a line of fire sweep past gives a real sense of accomplishment."

Looking at Cui Bo’s smug expression, Gao Yang found it quite amusing. With just one remark, Cui Bo won over the Black Demon gang. These old men were really easy to please. Had he known, he would have flattered the Black Demon earlier instead of getting into a fight with the old man.

Gao Yang waved his hand at Taylor and then walked over to him, whispering, "Notify the Skull Gang that their ships can enter the harbor now. The sea passage has been cleared much more smoothly than expected. The situation has changed. Let the Skull Gang adjust their combat plans and consider landing operations as the main attack means."

Taylor nodded and whispered, "Understood, I’ll contact them right away."

Just then, Li Jinfang approached Gao Yang and whispered, "Brother Yang, let’s step outside for a word."

Gao Yang whispered, "What’s up, just the two of us?"

Li Jinfang said in a serious tone, "All of us, I have some ideas and it would be good for everyone to give their opinions."

Gao Yang nodded and whispered into the intercom, "Everyone but Rabbit, come out with me for a moment."

The group walked out of the bridge, where the occasional sound of gunfire made their ears ring, but they certainly wouldn’t be overheard by the Black Demons.

Once outside the bridge, Eileen whispered, "Boss, what’s going on?"

Gao Yang pointed at Li Jinfang, and Li Jinfang waved his hand loudly, "Guys, I think the Black Demon gang is really impressive, very impressive, and they have their own skills."

Everyone nodded, acknowledging the prowess of the Black Demons; it was undeniable.

Seeing everyone nodding, Li Jinfang said loudly, "I think since the Black Demons are so impressive, how about we learn from them? Let them train us a bit."

Gao Yang nodded several times but then said, "Even if the Black Demons agree, the issue is our group’s tactics are well-formed. Would their methods conflict with the ones we are familiar with?"

Eileen shook her head and said, "No, even the best Special Forces need to train with other units frequently to avoid missing out on genuinely good things from others. We don’t have to directly apply what we learn. We can absorb the good parts from the Black Demons, those useful to us, while discarding or adjusting those that conflict or don’t fit."

Gao Yang pointed at Eileen and smiled, "Complement each other’s strengths."

"Exactly, complement each other’s strengths."

Li Jinfang said seriously, "Or we can call it ’seeking to learn from all sources.’ This is a great opportunity."

Gao Yang has always been open to acquiring knowledge, even described as thirsting for it, and he loved learning from capable people, never missing an opportunity. Even learning just a trick or two was a lifelong benefit.

For anything beneficial to Satan, there is no need to get everyone’s consent to go through with it. Since training with the Black Demons is advantageous, they might as well do it. Once Gao Yang makes a decision, it’s final. Even if someone is lazy and doesn’t want to learn, it’s not an option. At times like this, decisions have to be unchallenged.

Gao Yang clapped his hands and said loudly, "Alright, I’ll talk to the Black Demons and try to learn something from these experts. No matter what conditions they have, as long as we can bear them, we must seize this opportunity." (To be continued.
