Merchant From Earth in the Magical World
Chapter 367 - 324: Strength Enhancement_2
CHAPTER 367: CHAPTER 324: STRENGTH ENHANCEMENT_2
War was imminent, and every second counted. Yan Xing had no time to go into seclusion in the Magic Tower. Once the battle began, there would be even less time.
"Master, please give me some time to integrate the magical data in the database," Chui Chui said. Having finished speaking, Chui Chui flew into the Deep Space Whisperer’s spellbook. Then, a massive amount of magical text, runes, and diagrams gushed from the pages like a fountain. These diagrams and text rotated in a specific pattern, continuously rearranging and combining.
In a moment, a ball of air enveloped in lightning appeared before Yan Xing, followed by a fireball, and then a sphere of light emitting a pure white radiance. These were the three types of magical energy Yan Xing now possessed: Air Magic Elemental, Fire Magic Elemental, and Divine Force. The three magical spheres slowly revolved around Yan Xing.
At this moment, the text and symbols also combined to form an extremely large and dense magical array. Yan Xing, sitting beneath the array, looked up as if gazing at a mountain peak. Then, the entire magical array rapidly contracted, finally converging into the form of Chui Chui.
"Master, I suggest that you focus on cultivating Divine Force when you cannot achieve a breakthrough in Air Magic," Chui Chui said.
Yan Xing had not expected Chui Chui to create such a grand display, only to advise him to set aside Air Magic for the time being. But Air Magic was what he was currently most skilled in, and he possessed a very high affinity for Air Magic Elemental. It seemed a shame not to practice it.
Yan Xing asked Chui Chui, "Why?"
Chui Chui explained the conclusion she had reached after integrating the magic knowledge indexes. "Based on the affinity you’ve shown for Air Magic Elemental, you would still advance due to the accumulation of Magic Power, even without entering the Magic Tower for meditative breakthroughs. It would simply take more time. Prioritizing the cultivation of Divine Force during this period could greatly enhance your strength..."
Divine Force was the power one must master to achieve the status of a Holy Knight. The usual method to cultivate Divine Force was to become a cleric at the Temple and enhance one’s power through prayer. For those who were not Temple clerics but wished to cultivate Divine Force, it was first necessary to master Angel’s Descent. Divine Force was inherently a power possessed by Angels. As guardians of the human race, they had bestowed this power upon humanity. Angel’s Descent allowed the knights of humanity to achieve a state close to that of an Angel, naturally enabling the enhancement of Divine Force.
Chui Chui’s training suggestion was to utilize Yan Xing’s great affinity for Air Magic Elemental. By exploiting the principle that magical elements can convert into each other, he could transform absorbed Air Magic Elemental into Divine Force. Divine Force had the ability to strengthen the body. Therefore, the melee combat power of Holy Knights far exceeded that of ordinary knights, and Divine Force also enhanced the power and duration of Angel’s Descent.
Finally, Chui Chui said, "I can design a set of magical arrays to improve the efficiency of transforming Air Magic Elemental into Divine Force. And... there seems to be a secret hidden within Divine Force."
"What secret?"
Chui Chui answered, "Divine Force seems to be a form of artificially created energy."
"What does that mean?"
"The conventional Four System Magic elements exist naturally; their existence isn’t predicated on being used. Mages simply found methods to utilize them. The Derived Magic of the Four Systems is merely an advanced application of these magic elements, resulting in changes to their properties. But Divine Force is different. It seems to be a form of energy invented based on magic elements. It’s more stable and easier to use. Unlike magic elements, it lacks variability and broad applicability; it exists solely to enhance individual power."
"Speak plainly!" Yan Xing exclaimed. He couldn’t understand Chui Chui’s explanation.
Chui Chui stated simply, "If my conjecture is correct... then the world’s descriptions of Angels might all be wrong."
Yan Xing fell silent for a moment before saying to Chui Chui, "Let’s treat this as a research topic. However, what Angels are has nothing to do with us right now. Since you suggested I cultivate Divine Force during this period, then I will cultivate Divine Force. Do you have a plan?"
Since obtaining Divine Force, Yan Xing hadn’t practiced it due to the lack of a mentor’s guidance. Later, when he met Hibel, who mentioned Divine Force, the time-constrained Hibel had simply given him a related book, allowing Yan Xing to practice on his own. Besides, Hibel himself hadn’t fully understood Divine Force, so he couldn’t have taught Yan Xing even if he had wanted to. One book, of course, was not enough. Yan Xing had to collect books about Divine Force through various channels, yet he found very few. It was only later, by helping Holy Knight Arisa establish the Red Tent Aid Society, that he had the opportunity to procure a batch of practical books from the Temple in Nuta City.
Chui Chui recorded all this information in her own database. It was precisely because she had so much material related to Divine Force that she had discovered some secrets about it during her recent reorganization and analysis. However, these were still just Chui Chui’s conjectures, and Yan Xing did not treat this matter as particularly important. He had too many urgent matters to deal with at the moment; anything that could be postponed, was.
Chui Chui presented the Divine Force cultivation plan she had devised for Yan Xing. As Divine Force was suspected to be an artificially created energy based on magic elements, the higher the level of its analysis, the greater the conversion rate of magic elements. The more magic elements were converted into Divine Force, the more it aided Chui Chui in analyzing Divine Force.
Using her formidable computational power, Chui Chui developed the "Magic Element to Divine Force Conversion 1.0 Magic Circle" for Yan Xing. When Yan Xing entered the Angel’s Descent state, he could activate energy conversion, increasing the amount of Divine Force he possessed. The entire process was, of course, extremely complex, but for Yan Xing, the operation was very simple. It was like casting a skill in a game. Select the skill, press the button, and it would activate on its own.
He activated the "Angel’s Descent Support Spell." The magic circle, passed down by Hibel and modified by Chui Chui, unfurled behind Yan Xing. Simultaneously, the requisite Rare Alchemical Resources in his God-given Space diminished. With additional energy infused, the "Angel’s Descent Support Spell" began to operate, and the generated power flowed into Yan Xing’s body. At this point, Yan Xing’s body could not yet withstand the strain produced by Angel’s Descent and had to use the support spell to share the load.
As the energy of the support spell reached its peak, Yan Xing immediately activated "Angel’s Descent." A pair of wings with a sci-fi design by Chui Chui unfolded behind Yan Xing. Simultaneously, silver armor, also designed by Chui Chui and derived from magic elements, covered his entire body. Yan Xing floated and hovered in the air. Then, with a flap of his wings, he burst through the top of the tent and soared rapidly upward into the sky. Then, four turbocharged jet engines, magically manifested and attached to the Angelic Armor, fully pressurized and continued to propel Yan Xing straight upward. With another loud sonic boom, Yan Xing broke the sound barrier, shooting vertically upward and accelerating beyond the speed of sound toward the outer sky.
Only upon reaching the stratosphere did Yan Xing reduce his speed, allowing him to float in this tranquil airspace. He chose this place because, although the Air Magic Elemental here was not the most concentrated or purest, it was certainly the most stable. Here, Air Magic Elemental behaved like sleeping cats, allowing him to arrange them into any desired position. The transformation of Air Magic Elemental into Divine Force, of course, was more stable here, requiring less effort and yielding higher efficiency.
After stabilizing his body, magic circles began to appear all around Yan Xing. Simultaneously, a colossal magic circle unfolded in the airspace beneath him. Numerous magic conduits connected the large and small magic circles. Then, a tumultuous wind swept through the stratosphere. The active Air Magic Elemental, emitting a faint cyan glow, outlined the forms of the wind. The air currents stirred by the wind formed more than a dozen intertwining, vibrant ribbons in the air. They wove through the magic circles, their colors shifting layer by layer. The cyan grew paler, the white grew brighter...
Finally, the white currents converged toward Yan Xing’s wings, forming a vast, radiating nimbus around them. He was like a true angel, gazing down upon the mortal realm from above.
