Looking out the airplane window, Yan Xing watched Dawnspirit City recede into the distance. He then pulled his thoughts back from the Kingdom of Silvermane to Wildwind Highlands.

He had done everything he could for Karol.

Whether she could secure her position would depend on her own ability.

As the plane arrived at Wildwind Highlands, the good weather was immediately replaced by overcast skies.

A light rain was drizzling from the sky.

As they drove to the Alchemy Laboratory, Yan Xing briefly recounted the events he had encountered in Dawnspirit City to Hibel.

"Everyone involved in the assassination of King Griffin is dead, including Lady Elina, so Karol and I do not have direct evidence to prove Kay was the mastermind. But he was the prime suspect and stood to gain the most. If we hadn’t killed him, he would have either become the new king, or the nation would have been torn apart."

After Yan Xing finished speaking, Hibel looked at him and asked, "You haven’t told anyone else this, have you?"

"How could I! Killing a prince without concrete evidence—such words could cause great chaos if they got out."

"Then why are you telling me the truth?"

Yan Xing smiled and said, "I’ve even involved you in the super armament project; there’s nothing I don’t trust you with. Now that Karol is the queen of the Kingdom of Silvermane, she won’t make things difficult for the Earl. The rainy season on the Wildwind Highlands is too damp; it’s not good for the elderly.
