MHA: Man Of Steel
Chapter 25 25: Put Emm Up
Before Izuku could even think for a second, Katsuki appeared—storming in like a missile—as he stood above on the second floor balcony. The dim light from the overhead fixtures cast jagged shadows across his face, but his expression was clear: a wide, vicious grin dripping with malice.
"DEKU!!!"
With a deafening roar, Katsuki kicked off the ground. His palms erupted into a violent BANG of smoke and fire, propelling him through the air like a warhead.
'Fucken hell, I need to finish this quickly,' Izuku thought as he shifted his stance. But seeing Katsuki flying toward him with such reckless rage, he couldn't help but snicker.
At the last possible second, Izuku stepped to the side—smooth, effortless—like dodging a drunken punch.
Katsuki shot past him, unable to adjust, and slammed into the wall with a bone-jarring impact.
BAM!
The concrete cracked under the force, chunks of broken tile clattering to the floor. A loose piece smacked Katsuki in the head as he yanked himself free, leaving a smear of blood running down his temple and across his cheek.
"Wow, nice entrance. Still no aim though," Izuku said dryly, his tone dripping with mockery.
'Yeah… I'm done playing,' he thought, his eyes narrowing.
"SHUT UP!" Katsuki roared, fury boiling over. He blasted forward again, but Izuku's reflexes were razor-sharp. He vaulted clean over Katsuki, twisting in midair before landing lightly behind him.
'Predictable as a One Piece plot line,' Izuku thought with a smirk.
Before Katsuki could even spin around, Izuku gave him a sudden shove in the back—sharp and deliberate—sending him stumbling forward. His boot caught the edge of the floor panel and he tripped, hitting the ground with a grunt.
Snarling, Katsuki scrambled to his feet and immediately fired an explosion at point-blank range.
BOOM!
The blast rattled the walls, smoke rolling through the hallway like a living thing. Katsuki smirked in satisfaction—until the haze cleared.
Izuku stood there, completely unfazed. The only sign he'd been hit was the burn along his suit, a charred patch across his chest and arm where the fabric had sizzled away. His expression was no longer amused.
'That coulda killed someone. This guy really wants to off me, huh?' Izuku thought, his gaze hardening.
His stance shifted—feet firmly planted, shoulders squared—like a predator ready to pounce. Years of muscle memory from hand-to-hand combat drills came flooding back.
"I'm gonna make sure you don't walk out of here," Izuku said, his voice low and dangerous.
For the first time, Katsuki faltered, a shiver of unease crawling up his spine—but rage quickly smothered it.
"Alright… LET'S GO THEN!!" he bellowed, both hands raised, palms sparking like live grenades.
Katsuki lunged first, palms exploding in a violent BOOOOM that echoed through the hallway. The shockwave rattled the light fixtures overhead, dust shaking loose from the ceiling.
Izuku didn't move. His eyes tracked Katsuki's every twitch, every shift of muscle, like a hawk watching prey.
FWOOOSH!
Katsuki's right arm swung in with a point-blank blast meant to take Izuku's head clean off. But Izuku tilted to the side at the last instant—just enough for the explosion to scorch the wall behind him without even touching him.
'Too slow,' Izuku thought, his expression calm, almost bored.
Katsuki snarled and came in with another flurry—left, right, spin, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!—each explosion lighting up the dim hall in bursts of fire. Izuku weaved through them with casual precision, his boots barely making a sound against the floor.
CRACK!
Izuku's palm shot out, catching Katsuki's wrist mid-swing. The grip was like steel. Katsuki tried to yank his arm free, but Izuku held him effortlessly.
"You waste too much energy," Izuku said coldly before shoving him back a full three steps.
The force of the push made Katsuki grit his teeth, but it only fueled his rage. He came in low this time, aiming for Izuku's legs. Izuku hopped lightly over him, twisting in midair, and landed behind him again.
'Predictable,' Izuku thought.
Katsuki spun, but Izuku was already inside his guard. A quick jab—THUD!—to the ribs knocked the air from him.
"Ghhk—!" Katsuki staggered, but still forced himself forward, palms exploding in desperation.
BOOM!
The blast flashed bright in the hallway, heat rushing against Izuku's face, forcing him to take a single step back.
Smoke and sparks filled the air, the stench of burnt concrete sharp in his nose.
'If I wanted to, I'd have ended this in the first second. But he needs to feel this,' Izuku thought, his eyes narrowing like a predator about to strike.
Then he moved.
In one smooth step, Izuku closed the distance. His fist shot out—
WHACK!
A powerful right hook smashed across Katsuki's jaw, snapping his head to the side. His teeth clacked together from the force.
Before Katsuki could even register it, a brutal left jab slammed into his gut—THUD!—forcing the air from his lungs in a choked gasp.
"Khhuu—!" Katsuki's knees buckled.
Izuku didn't give him a second. His shin whipped up in a clean, merciless kick to Katsuki's thigh—CRACK!—striking the nerve dead-on.
The effect was instant. Katsuki dropped to one knee, his leg refusing to respond, a white-hot pain shooting through his hip.
"Tch…!" He tried to stand, forcing himself through the pain, but his leg gave out again, sending him half-sprawling on the floor.
Izuku walked toward him slowly, deliberately, like he had all the time in the world. Each step echoed in the tense air.
"All that noise," Izuku said coldly, eyes locked on him, "and this is all you've got?"
Katsuki's teeth ground together, rage bubbling in his throat. He swung his arm upward, palm aimed at Izuku's face—
—but Izuku caught his wrist effortlessly, twisting it just enough to make him hiss in pain.
"You're predictable, Katsuki. Every. Single. Move."
Izuku yanked him forward and SLAM!—drove his knee into Katsuki's ribs, the sound of impact sharp and deep. Katsuki coughed, spitting saliva onto the floor.
He tried to blast again, but Izuku shoved him back so hard he slid across the floor, boots squealing against the tile.
Katsuki was breathing hard now, one leg half-dead, ribs aching, jaw throbbing—and Izuku hadn't even broken a sweat.
The humiliation burned worse than the pain.
He looked at Izuku who stood there looking at him as if he was nothing.
Katsuki's fury peaked. His hand shot to the pin on his grenade gauntlet.
"Die!"
The metal CLINK of the pin being pulled was sharp and clear in the tense air. Izuku's eyes widened—just slightly—before his body moved on instinct.
In less than a blink, he grabbed Katsuki's wrist, forcing his palm against his own chest.
BAAAAAAAAAAM!!!
The explosion detonated point-blank. Fire and smoke swallowed Izuku, the blast hurling him backward like a ragdoll. He crashed through the air, his boots skidding violently against the floor before he dug in and stopped.
His suit was torn to shreds—half of it burned away, his chest and arm exposed, smoke curling from his skin—but he was still standing.
"That all you got?" Izuku said, his voice low, dangerous.
Katsuki barely had time to react before—
WHAM!!!
Izuku's fist slammed into him with devastating force. The impact cracked the floor under Katsuki's boots, sending a web of fractures racing outward as the blond was driven down hard. The sound of stone splitting echoed through the hall.
The building shook, but not a single wall crumbled. The mission condition was intact.
Katsuki lay there, dazed, the fight completely knocked out of him.
Izuku exhaled slowly, rolling his shoulders. ' I really hope i didn't fail' he thought.
