CHAPTER 42: CHAPTER 0042: CURE ON POINT_1

In a top-tier ward of the Qing Shan City Tumor Hospital.

Elder Master Liu, a man who had led a glorious life, lay dying on the hospital bed, his breathing faint and shallow.

The head of the Liu Family, Liu Qian, sat by the bedside with a face etched in sorrow. At forty years old, Liu Qian was the family’s most promising member and served as the Deputy County Chief of Qingshan County. However, he knew that if Elder Master Liu passed away, his chances of promotion would become virtually nonexistent.

Of course, if Liu Ruolan were to marry into the Diao Clan, they might still receive support from them—provided Diao Lao Er wasn’t such a scoundrel. Unfortunately, Diao Lao Er was, in fact, a beast.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and Liu Ruolan, Father Liu, and Zhang Bin walked in.

Liu Ruolan introduced Zhang Bin to Liu Qian, simply stating he was a friend. Naturally, she didn’t immediately suggest that he treat the illness. Instead, she began to inquire about Elder Master Liu’s condition.

Liu Qian despondently explained the situation. Elder Master Liu’s nostrils were completely blocked by cancerous tissue, forcing him to breathe through his throat. That too was swollen, making every breath a struggle. He could no longer consume even liquid food and relied entirely on intravenous drips for nutrients. Furthermore, the cancer had metastasized throughout his body. A short while ago, Elder Master Liu could still walk, but now he was bedridden and spent more time unconscious than awake. The doctors had given him about ten days.

Tears streamed down Liu Ruolan’s face. She pulled Zhang Bin aside and whispered, "Is there any chance?"

"I told you before, I’m eighty percent confident," Zhang Bin replied with conviction. For him, treating cancer was much easier than treating a stroke. Longevity Qi was the natural enemy of viruses and cancer cells; it could destroy them with ease.

"Uncle, Zhang Bin is a miracle worker," Liu Ruolan pleaded. "I invited him here myself. He’s eighty percent confident he can cure Grandpa. Please, can we let him try?"

"Brother, Zhang Bin is the one who invented the Bright Eye Liquid," Father Liu added. "Just let him try. Besides, what other choice do we have?"

"Ridiculous!" Liu Qian’s face turned ashen. "Brother, Ruolan is young and easily deceived, but you too? Father has late-stage nasal cancer and he’s eighty-eight years old! No hospital in the world can treat this. A wet-behind-the-ears youth claims he can cure it? Is that even possible? Get him out of here. I don’t want to see him."

The nurse standing nearby sneered derisively. If cancer were that easy to cure, it wouldn’t be a global medical challenge.

Zhang Bin felt helpless. Liu Qian was the head of the Liu Family; without his consent, he couldn’t do a thing.

"Brother, he’s Ruolan’s friend," Father Liu said, his voice tinged with helplessness. "He isn’t charging a fee, so how is he a swindler? What could he possibly gain by tricking us?"

"Has he cured cancer before? Is he some renowned doctor? Or even a student from a medical university?" Liu Qian demanded coldly.

"I have never cured cancer. I am not a doctor or a medical student. I’m just a farmer," Zhang Bin stated plainly. "But tell me, can any of the people you mentioned cure cancer? Because I can."

"A farmer who can cure cancer? I’m starting to wonder if you’re mentally sound," Liu Qian scoffed.

"My master is an old Daoist from the deep mountains; he’s over one hundred and fifty years old. I learned my medical skills from him," Zhang Bin said calmly. "Cancer is terrifying, yes, but what’s more terrifying are people who don’t believe it can be cured and lack the courage to even try. If it weren’t for Ruolan, and if Elder Master Liu’s life wasn’t hanging by a thread, I would have left long ago."

"You... You’re sharp-tongued!" Liu Qian trembled with anger.

"Uncle, why not let him try? You can expose him as a fraud," Liu Ruolan whispered in his ear.

"We can’t let him. What if something goes wrong?" Liu Qian retorted.

"Grandpa only has ten days left, and he’s unconscious most of the time. What are you afraid of?" Liu Ruolan pressed.

Liu Qian’s brow furrowed in thought for a long time, his face a mask of inner conflict. Finally, he sighed. "Fine. Let him try."

A triumphant expression lit up Liu Ruolan’s face. She turned to Zhang Bin and said, "It’s all up to you now."

"Don’t worry." Zhang Bin walked to the bedside, preparing to begin the treatment.

"What are you doing?" a sharp voice demanded. The attending physician, Doctor Tang, had just entered with several other doctors and nurses, presumably summoned by the one who had been in the room earlier.

"Treating his illness, of course," Zhang Bin replied.

"I believe *I’m* the attending physician here, am I not?" Doctor Tang said coldly.

"You are indeed the attending physician," Zhang Bin said with a smile. "But you’ve run out of options, haven’t you? You said the patient only has ten days to live. That’s why it’s my turn."

"Are you saying you can cure late-stage nasal cancer? Are you here to embarrass our hospital?" Doctor Tang demanded, furious.

"I’m only here to heal and save a life. I mean no offense to any of you," Zhang Bin said gently. He held nothing against these doctors. It wasn’t that they were negligent; it was simply that with current medical technology, a cure was impossible.

"Doctor Tang, that’s enough. I will take full responsibility for whatever happens," Liu Qian declared.

"Fine," Doctor Tang snapped, forced to fall silent. "In that case, I’d like to see exactly how he plans to work this cure." He stood to the side, watching with a cold, critical gaze.

Zhang Bin took a handful of green Pine Needles from his bag.

With a casual flick of his wrist, he inserted one deep into the bridge of Elder Master Liu’s nose. He continued this motion, placing more Pine Needles around the nose and across the face until both were studded with them. The needles stood ramrod straight in the flesh, as if they were made of steel.

Everyone stared in stunned disbelief. How could soft Pine Needles be inserted into muscle like that? How is that possible? Could he really be a miracle worker, someone who can actually cure cancer?

Zhang Bin pinched a Pine Needle between two fingers and channeled his Longevity Qi into it. The energy began to frantically slaughter the cancerous cells. Once he had cleansed one area, he would grasp another Pine Needle and repeat the process, sending his Longevity Qi to destroy the cancer in another location.

A miraculous sight unfolded. The swelling in Elder Master Liu’s nose began to subside, as did the swelling in his face. His nostrils slowly cleared, and a stream of black filth trickled out, which Liu Ruolan quickly caught with a small bag.

The onlookers were dumbfounded, unable to believe their eyes. Is this a divine miracle?

Zhang Bin continued to insert Pine Needles into Elder Master Liu’s throat and chest, targeting all the afflicted areas. After destroying the cancer in the metastasized lesions, he sent his Longevity Qi throughout the man’s body, cleansing it in a mass slaughter of the remaining cancer cells.

After more than an hour, he finally finished. He took out some Spiritual Water and helped Elder Master Liu drink a cup. "Alright, it’s done," he said calmly. "He can be discharged from the hospital later. Living for another ten years shouldn’t be a problem."

Just then, Elder Master Liu’s heartbeat returned to a steady, normal rhythm. His eyes fluttered open, and he looked at Zhang Bin gratefully. "Thank you, Divine Doctor."

Everyone was shocked into silence, standing frozen like statues. Cancer, the harbinger of the Death God that left countless doctors worldwide helpless, was cured just like that? How is this possible? Could this young man be an Immortal?

Meanwhile, Liu Ruolan was weeping with pure, unadulterated joy.
