Miracle Farmer with Special Abilities

CHAPTER 79: CHAPTER 0079: CAT OR TIGER?_1
It was dusk. Zhang Bin sat on Mantou Ridge, his eyes hazily observing its drastically changed appearance.
A week had passed since the online incident. Zhang Bin had opened another meridian, reaching fourteen in total. As his Cultivation Level improved, his ability to perform Qi gathering grew stronger, enabling him to cultivate more medicinal herbs.
The number of hired workers had grown to nearly a hundred. They spent their days tilling the soil, planting herb seeds, and watering them.
As a result, most of Mantou Ridge was now planted with medicinal herbs, creating a lush, green expanse that exuded a peculiar, pleasant fragrance.
The construction of the villa on the mountain was nearing completion, and the interior decoration had begun. This speed was, without a doubt, the fastest in the nation. The villa at the foot of the mountain had long since been completed and was also being decorated.
At the thought of moving into his villa soon, Zhang Bin would wake up from his dreams smiling.
Down in an open area at the mountain’s base, the foundation for the pharmaceutical factory had also been laid. Some of the parts Zhang Bin had ordered had also been delivered.
Naturally, Xiao Fang was so busy she barely touched the ground. But she was happier than ever, her beautiful singing voice heard every day, like that of a skylark.
Suddenly, the Little Fox dashed over from behind the mountain, letting out urgent cries. She bit Zhang Bin’s pant leg, tugging at it incessantly.
"What happened?"
A look of confusion appeared on Zhang Bin’s face as he stood up.
Xiao Qian immediately took the lead, shooting off toward Great Green Mountain like a red streak of lightning. Zhang Bin naturally followed close behind. Having opened fourteen meridians, he was much stronger, and his speed had improved significantly, so he kept pace with ease.
"WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!"
Big Fatty and Second Fatty chased after them rapidly, barking loudly. Thanks to constantly breathing in Spiritual Energy, the two dogs had grown especially fast and now looked like two large canines. They possessed great strength and speed, making it incredibly easy for them to catch rabbits. They often ventured into Deep in the Great Green Mountain to hunt hares and wild chickens, which they would exchange for Zhang Bin’s Spiritual Energy.
"Big Fatty, Second Fatty, go back! Guard the herbs!" Zhang Bin shot them a stern look.
Some five-hundred-year-old Ginseng, Lingzhi, and Polygonum Multiflorum were now planted on Mantou Ridge, along with many other precious medicinal herbs of immense value. They needed to be guarded at all times. Losing a single stalk of five-hundred-year-old Ginseng would be a celestial loss.
Big Fatty and Second Fatty stopped in disappointment. They had been eager to show Zhang Bin how they caught wild rabbits and chickens, but they never got the chance.
Meanwhile, Zhang Bin and Xiao Qian continued without a pause, quickly entering Deep in the Great Green Mountain.
Finally, Xiao Qian led Zhang Bin to an inconspicuous cave. There was nothing else inside but a cat-like animal that appeared to be sick and barely clinging to life.
"A sick wildcat?"
Zhang Bin was taken aback, instantly understanding what Xiao Qian wanted: for him to save it. Without hesitating, he walked over to treat the creature.
However, the wildcat was extremely fierce. It opened its mouth, ready to bite him. Why would Zhang Bin be afraid of a mere wildcat?
He grabbed the scruff of its neck, lifting it up. With his other hand, he inserted a Pine Needle into its body, infusing it with Longevity Qi to sense its condition. He soon discovered an issue with the wildcat’s heart; it had an innate defect.
For him, however, this was no problem at all. He used Longevity Qi to repair the defect, then carried the wildcat out of the cave to let it breathe in the ambient Qi. The wildcat was very intelligent and began to breathe greedily, its gaze softening.
Soon, the wildcat’s strength returned. It broke free from Zhang Bin’s embrace, jumped to the ground, and looked at him with grateful eyes.
"Goodbye," Zhang Bin said with a faint smile, turning to leave with Xiao Qian.
However, the wildcat eagerly scampered after them. Astonishingly, it was fast enough to keep up. Zhang Bin didn’t mind. For him, one more pet cat was no burden at all.
Back at Mantou Ridge, Big Fatty and Second Fatty saw the wildcat and immediately backed away in terror, their fur standing on end and their eyes filled with fear. The wildcat, however, advanced step by step, exuding a strange oppression and a murderous aura. It looked terrifying.
"WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!"
Big Fatty and Second Fatty grew even more frightened, retreating rapidly as if they had encountered a natural enemy.
"You cowards! Scared of a little wildcat?" Zhang Bin glared fiercely at them.
That’s a wildcat? Big Fatty and Second Fatty both rolled their eyes at Zhang Bin. Frustrated that they couldn’t speak, they could only suffer his underestimation in silence.
Zhang Bin beckoned to the wildcat.
WHOOSH! The wildcat leaped into Zhang Bin’s arms and stuck out its tongue to lick his hand.
"’Hey, your tongue is barbed! Remember, don’t lick me anymore. You might lick my skin right off,’ Zhang Bin said in surprise. He then added, ’From now on, your name is Da Huang. How about that? Do you like it?’"
The wildcat just looked bewildered, obviously not understanding a word.
"’No, this won’t do. My pet can’t be this stupid. Let me transform you into the smartest wildcat in the world.’ Without hesitation, Zhang Bin carefully used Longevity Qi to stimulate the wildcat’s brain."
The pain was excruciating, almost killing the wildcat. However, since Zhang Bin had sealed its acupoints, it couldn’t move a muscle.
Finally, Zhang Bin finished his work and released the acupoints. The wildcat jumped up and fled a good distance away, looking at Zhang Bin fearfully.
"SQUEAK! SQUEAK! SQUEAK!"
Xiao Qian hopped over and patted Da Huang’s back, making a series of strange sounds.
Da Huang seemed to understand. He excitedly pounced again, leaping back into Zhang Bin’s arms. This time, he didn’t lick Zhang Bin but wagged his tail furiously. Evidently, Xiao Qian had taught him how to please their master.
Zhang Bin was indeed very happy. He played with Da Huang for a while, then let him go play with the other three pets.
He, meanwhile, started walking down the mountain.
The two chimpanzees stopped moving bricks and ran to Zhang Bin’s side, gesturing animatedly. They had become very intelligent and could now basically communicate with humans using hand signals.
"What? You want to wear clothes, too?" Zhang Bin exclaimed in astonishment. "No, no, that’s too wasteful. Besides, the weather is too hot. You’d be uncomfortable in clothes."
The two chimpanzees glared at Zhang Bin angrily. How dare he call it a waste? We move bricks for you every day, and you won’t even give us clothes?
Zhang Bin seemed to feel he had gone a bit too far and changed his tune. "Alright, alright. In a few days, I’ll have some shorts and tank tops custom-made for you. Your bodies are too large; it’s hard to buy clothes that fit."
The two chimpanzees grew happy and pounded their chests, showing they would work even harder for Zhang Bin from now on.
As he reached the bottom of the mountain, Ma Rufei came up to him. He first gave the two chimpanzees a peculiar look, then lowered his voice. "Master, the Diao Clan is eyeing your Bright Eye Liquid and Weight Loss Pills. Aren’t you going to do anything about it?"
