Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva
Chapter 1442 - 87: Federation Situation
CHAPTER 1442: CHAPTER 87: FEDERATION SITUATION
Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain, Jade Skirt North Fifth District, Gladiolus Manor.
This manor was built by the local government for Hexia, in gratitude for her contributions to the environmental improvement of Jade Skirt. The manor spans a vast area, allowing one to overlook a large expanse of blue flower fields from the hilltop viewing platform. Daily maintenance is handled by the Blood Clan maids, and Tilan occasionally stays here.
"Ores, hold still."
In front of the dressing mirror, Tilan helped Ores comb her hair, then adjusted her hairstyle and adorned her with hair ribbons of snow blue and cyan hues.
In the mirror, Ores’s eyes widened slightly, filled with anticipation and joy. Today, she wore an off-shoulder long dress, with the primary colors being snow white and indigo, matching the hair ribbons.
Compared to Tilan, Ores’s figure and demeanor are noticeably more mature. When standing together, outsiders might think that Ores is the elder sister type.
"All done." Having finished the grooming, Tilan laid down the hair ribbons, letting them hang alongside Ores’s silver-snow hair, complementing each other.
Ores turned her head, scrutinizing her current appearance, feeling quite satisfied and happy.
"Thank you, Tilan." She spoke much more fluently now.
Then the two walked out of the house, strolling along the path on the hillside, surrounded by a sea of blue-green flowers, reaching half their height.
Upon returning to the Federation, Tilan did not directly hand over Ores, but kept her by her side. Initially, this deeply displeased the Elf Families, as Ores was an Ice Spirit and the most talented songstress within the Elf Faction.
However, Tilan ultimately ’convinced’ those Elf Families, pointing out that without her taking great risks to rescue Ores, she would have perished in that battle.
Tilan also informed those Elf Families that if they wished for Ores to survive her weakened state and stay out of the current chaotic situation, keeping her by her side would be the best choice.
After the battle three years ago, many believed Ores had died on the battlefield. Her reappearance would inevitably stir up a huge commotion, disrupting the situation, and place the Elf Faction under intense scrutiny. After experiencing previous ethical coercion and pressure, many leaders within the Elf Faction calmed down considerably and agreed with Tilan’s reasoning. They decided accordingly, while also demanding a contingent of elf maids to protect Ores and prevent any harm.
Tilan did not oppose this and agreed pleasantly, resulting in both sides agreeing that Ores would return to the Central Star Domain five years later.
Thus, Ores and Tilan came to the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain and took up residence at Gladiolus Manor. The scenery here is beautiful, with few people passing by, making it peaceful and safe.
"Tilan~" Ores walked ahead, stepping into the soft grass below. There were scattered flowers and plants here, not very dense, suitable for camping and play.
"All right." Tilan walked over, watching Ores hold up a semi-transparent water ball, the water light inside reflecting the sunshine, looking quite beautiful.
On reaching the grasslands, Ores and Tilan began playing with the water ball. The process resembled beach volleyball, batting it back and forth to prevent it from hitting the ground.
However, both were Transcendents, so their game was certainly not the same as that of Mortals.
"Exploding~ Ice Ball~" Ores lifted the water ball in her hand, sending it flying skywards, freezing into a solid ice ball, and then shooting it sharply at Tilan.
For such an attack, Tilan deployed a countering magic technique. She positioned her hands into a triangle in front of her chest, causing circles of flowing rings to expand and enlarge. As the water ball passed through these rings, it was held by the force fields within, rapidly slowing down, eventually gently landing in Tilan’s palm.
Pale light shimmered, and the ice ball, initially frozen as one, melted back into a transparent flowing water ball, which then rotated in Tilan’s hand.
It was Tilan’s turn next. She lightly tossed the water ball, then flicked her fingers, making the water ball spin rapidly, forming a ring shape.
Next, with a wave of the girl’s fingers, the rapidly swirling ring dived forward, tracing a large arc, rushing towards Ores.
For this, Ores prepared several hexagonal ice shields, quickly assembling in the air to block the incoming water ring. The two clashed in mid-air, scattering masses of ice shards and fragments. The water ring gradually slowed down, turning back into a smooth ball, landing before Ores, and it was her turn again.
In this way, the water ball constantly changed forms in their hands, demonstrating various trajectories and possibilities.
Even though Tilan had absolute confidence in winning if she wanted, winning wasn’t the priority in every match. In such situations, she preferred to enjoy the game with Ores, without focusing on winning or overpowering her.
Two hours later, Ores finally grew a bit tired, and Tilan also stopped, placing the water ball on the ground, and approached.
"Let’s go sit over there." The girl pointed to a small wooden viewing platform, equipped with benches for resting and enjoying the view.
"Okay~" Ores stood still, reaching out a hand, waiting for Tilan to come hold her.
Seeing this, Tilan couldn’t help but smile, then slightly quickened her pace, coming to Ores’s side, and the two walked hand in hand towards the viewing platform on the hill.
Sitting to rest, the gentle wind swept along the slope of the hill, lifting many flowers and plants. The air carried a faint, fresh floral fragrance.
