CHAPTER 1443: CHAPTER 87: FEDERATION SITUATION (PART 2)
After the two sat down, Ores spoke of some recent happy events and new things she had learned, while Tilan listened quietly, occasionally nodding in praise.
"Tilan, what kind of personality did I have before? The maids say I was very confident, and quite ’noble’. " She didn’t quite understand the word ’noble’ now.
"Before..." Tilan recalled the scene when they first met. At that time, Ores had proactively taken the stage to introduce herself, indeed possessing the pride and grace cultivated by the Elf Families, often taking the initiative.
"Probably like a white rose." Tilan thought of the words of a white rose: pure, noble, innocent, proud.
"Really." Hearing Tilan’s acknowledgment, Ores felt that she must have been quite remarkable before and felt somewhat proud.
"Yes, indeed." Tilan answered with a cheerful smile.
Then the two leaned against the bench, enjoying the scenery. Tilan began talking about some past events at school, where she, Ores, Shui Yanqing, Blanchi, and Audrey, along with Prin, spent time together.
"Blanchi, ah." The name made Ores remember something.
"When I mentioned her before the maids, they had a big change in expression. Did Blanchi and I not get along well before?" Ores tilted her head.
"Well, actually, you got along reasonably well in the past." Speaking of not getting along, it might have been more about bickering and arguments with Shui Yanqing, but it wasn’t much related to Blanchi.
"Just later, some things happened, and due to the circumstances, you had unavoidable conflicts." Tilan remembered the great battle three years ago, where both sides took great risks, but the outcome was unexpected.
"Then in the future, should I still be friends with Blanchi?" Ores asked Tilan.
"You can reconcile." Tilan held her hand and told her this.
"That’s good~" Hearing the girl say this, Ores became happy again, thinking that as long as they can be friends, they must be good people.
Tilan, however, pondered many things, such as the future relations between the Central Star Domain and the Western Star Domain, and the various situations Ores would have to face in the future.
It seems that in the coming years, Tilan would have to slowly teach Ores some political matters, not to make her very formidable, but at least to learn self-preservation.
...
As time passed, many changes occurred within the Federation in the years following Tilan’s departure.
First, due to the diminished authority of the Central Star Domain, each regional star domain began to make autonomous decisions on many matters, whether for development or for the consideration of interests, causing policy and direction in each star domain to change from the past.
Additionally, with a significant reduction in tax submissions, many local star domains had more substantial finances. Some of this money was used for developing the local economy, some for environmental improvements, and some for welfare to secure votes. As a result, many star domains became more vibrant, with various projects big and small starting to emerge.
However, on the other hand, some impoverished star domains, due to a lack of subsidies from the Federal Center, began to face more difficulties, having to seek aid from neighboring star domains. Economically, they became dependent on the support of more developed surrounding star domains, and in the process, these impoverished star domains had to cede much of their autonomy, while those developed star domains took the opportunity to incorporate the backward neighboring domains, getting them to follow their pace.
Over the years, groups of various sizes began to form in different places. If there was a songstress in a star domain, they often could easily and quickly integrate neighboring star domains to form cohesive groups with aligned fronts. Therefore, currently, the representatives of groups in various local star domains are often well-known songstresses.
In the Northern Star Region, a loose alliance was formed with the Beastmen faction led by Ailu Kelu. They had a large number and great influence in various star domains in the north. However, because there were many sub-factions within the Beastmen with mixed forces, their unity was not on par with some smaller groups.
Apart from ’Light Purple Mo Dian’ Ailu Kelu, songstresses born in the Northern Star Region include ’Moonstone’ Otimene, ’Pomegranate Shattered Dreams’ Yarnasha, and ’Long Wind Horn’ Quichen. However, due to various reasons, these three had much less influence in the Northern Star Region than Ailu Kelu.
Firstly, ’Moonstone’ Otimene, a seasoned songstress now aged 93, although as a Transcendent she could live longer, had diminished significantly in both charisma and strength compared to her youth.
Next, ’Pomegranate Shattered Dreams’ Yarnasha, although born in the Northern Star Zone, actually grew up and lived mainly in remote military districts, disconnected from the Northern Star Zone for a long time, with her primary supporters being in the military and not in the Northern Star Zone.
Lastly, ’Long Wind Horn’ Quichen, her situation was quite unique. She was born in a somewhat primitive tribe on the borders of the Federation’s jurisdiction. Having grown up accustomed to a pastoral life, influenced by local traditional beliefs, she was unwilling to move to big cities. Even after receiving the title of Songstress, she didn’t come to the Central Star Domain to study and stayed locally, rarely releasing songs or appearing in the public eye, so her fame was limited to her local star domain.
In the Western Star Region, it’s still led by ’Decamanga Sun’ Blanchi, with ’Red Stone Bamboo’ Chi Wanxin as assistance. However, because the latter joined teams too late, she wasn’t recognized by various forces within the Western Star Region, only acting as a deputy.
In the Eastern Star Region, now the wealthiest within the Federation excluding the Central Star Domain, with many star domains, the number of songstresses is also the highest among the major star zones. Among them, ’Red Stingray’ Luo Fenghua has the most influence, having gained acknowledgment from many Pan-Eastern forces. She is followed by ’Purple Jinhua’ Otibelo and ’Shui Xingling’ Fuyi, the two Moon Level songstresses. Though both possess more seniority than Luo Fenghua, the former advanced to Moon Level too late, and the latter, due to her older age, now has less activity and influence than Luo Fenghua.
