CHAPTER 1534: CHAPTER 37: SHATTERED BUILDING BLOCKS_2
Seven large transport aircraft streaked across the night sky, slowly descending from the distant horizon. Before long, squads of black rotor Autonomous Units arrived over this industrial zone.
"According to the judgment document No. CI89217 from the Federation Sand Chain Star Domain Court, the Sand Star Leaping Group must accept oversight from the Audit Inspection Bureau and submit the company’s production data and transaction flow data. All kinds of assets will be frozen until the oversight concludes and the compensation is complete." The Autonomous Units broadcast this message rapidly, sweeping over the sky to cover the entire industrial area with surveillance.
Even though some people within the industrial district had anticipated such notice, they were caught off guard, as this came too suddenly, and given the situation, it seemed there was no intention to leave any leeway.
Quickly, squads of combat personnel arrived, blockading the entire industrial area and demanding the staff inside to come out for inspection.
This official presence caused considerable anxiety among the staff, as it represented the official will and was also the most formidable force, leaving nobody with the thought of overcoming them.
However, some lower-level employees were hesitating to head toward the industrial zone’s exit when suddenly the roof of a production workshop opened, and a light-gray combat aircraft shot out with jets streaming behind. The entire process took mere seconds; by the time someone reacted and turned around, the aircraft had already been pierced by several laser beams in high altitude, bursting into intense fireworks, scattering down.
In the sky, twelve cold and dark Mechas slowly descended. Their armour was coated with a faint glaze, resembling excellent black porcelain, possessing a murderous aura yet with a touch of classical elegance.
The ’Black Porcelain-a1’ type Mecha, originating from the Pan-Eastern Faction’s colossal enterprise ’Sky Ink Lake’, ranks among the top-performing High Rank Mechas in the Federation. The Mo clan that controls this enterprise is also one of Luo Fenghua’s vital supporters.
After crushing the aircraft attempting escape, the resistance within the industrial zone diminished significantly, yet numerous Autonomous Units remained under control, continually firing upon the invading combat personnel, striving to block them from entering the core area.
"C5 squad has arrived at zone 768, no anomalies discovered so far."
A fully equipped team enters a workshop on the eleventh underground level, surrounded by hundreds of Autonomous Combat Units of varying models and appearances, helping them explore every corner and vigilantly guarding against any potential attacks.
"Continue advancing, it is imperative to locate the core members of the Yoke Bell family."
"Understood."
The Captain gestured, and subsequently, the mechanical manipulator within the squad directed various accompanying units to proceed to the next area.
Several minutes later...
Fierce firefight erupted in the underground workshop, with many autonomous units from the blitz squad already decimated by the defending side’s forces, yet they still couldn’t breach that dense firepower net.
On the opposing side, two AI-controlled turrets formed overlapping firepower. The intensive ’Acid Cyanide Bullet’ barrage corroded the struck armor, causing it to emit blue smoke, subsequently decaying entirely. The gases emanating from this put the squad members into self-contained breathing mode.
"Cover 4-9, prepare ’Deer-87’ type penetration round for number 3!" The captain directed, sheltering behind cover.
"Understood" x all members
Soon, some members raised hefty shields, advancing to draw fire, while in the rear, a combat personnel swiftly took position, hefting the massive rocket tube aimed at the distant turret.
Beep-beep-
Two short locking beeps sounded, the indication lights on the tube shrunk, and dazzling fire burst out, launching a special warhead toward the target.
The turret, quickly responding, adjusted its firepower, dense bullets striking the warhead, breaking its head into burning fragments. Meanwhile, the rocket slammed against the turret barrier, radiant heat spreading out, instantly melting the barrier, followed by the special shell exploding again, propelled forward and crashing into the turret shell, then detonating.
Like countless dense slits spreading across the turret, these slits soon illuminated with bright yellow light. Accompanied by a resonant boom, the turret was blown to pieces.
"Done." With one turret sorted, the other became much easier. Utilizing its inability to effectively counter multiple directions, the squad eliminated it swiftly.
They continued exploring deeper into the underground base, where workshops became scarce, replaced with warehouses for storing expensive component materials, some employee dormitories, Autonomous Unit adjustment and repair centers, among others.
It was then they finally encountered enemy combatants beyond the Autonomous Units.
Piloting 9-meter-high Miniature Mechas, this enemy squad of six exploited geographic and performance advantages to decimate half the members of the blitz squad, compelling the survivors to retreat in fear.
Subsequently, other blitz squads encountered similar situations and attacks.
"We can’t hold much longer; urgent support needed." the captain’s anxious voice transmitted over the communicator.
"How on earth are they deploying these Miniature Mechas underground?" someone in the command room wondered aloud.
"How else could they deploy them? Just transport the parts and assemble them on-site, right?"
"Unfortunately, this underground workshop structure is complex and convoluted, utterly unsuitable for large Mecha penetration." They intended to have the embroiling Mecha squad support them, but alas, such conditions left them helpless.
"How about using an Earth-shattering Bomb?" a member suggested.
