CHAPTER 239: CHAPTER 239: FATHER AND SON TURN AGAINST EACH OTHER: YOU’RE NOT YET WORTHY OF MY EFFORT...

David Galan had made up his mind long ago. He looked at Melody Parker, speaking coldly, "No, you don’t need to harm Neal. You just need to get married."

"Get married?" Melody Parker looked at David Galan, her voice cold, "Sorry, Mr. Galan, I don’t plan to get married anytime soon."

David’s sinister eyes suddenly flashed with danger, "Is that so? I think Miss Parker should reconsider. Even if not for yourself, you must consider it well for those two children."

David’s voice was not loud, yet it was full of menace.

After speaking, he waved his hand, "Take Miss Parker to rest."

"Yes!" The man who had knocked out Melody Parker in Fland and brought her here stepped forward quickly, looking at her coldly, "Miss Parker, please."

Melody Parker was taken away shortly, and Neal Galan hurriedly rushed back.

With a cold face, he went straight to David Galan, loudly demanding, "Where is she? Where have you hidden my person?"

Upon learning that Melody Parker had been taken away by David’s people, Neal immediately rushed back to Y Country, while also sending his people to investigate Melody’s whereabouts.

But they found nothing.

David had already taken precautions, and his people couldn’t find a shred of information about Melody Parker.

Sitting in the living room enjoying tea, David suddenly smashed the teacup in front of him with a bang.

He looked coldly at Neal, speaking with authority, "Where are your manners? How long has it been since you returned, and is this the attitude you show your father? Hmm?"

"Ha, father?" Neal stared coldly at the old man sitting in the living room, sarcastically questioning, "Have I ever had a father? Or have you ever fulfilled even one day of a father’s duties?"

Neal had never experienced a single day of fatherly love since he was a child.

The relationship between him and David had always been walking on thin ice.

The death of Rita Yates further intensified the conflict between father and son, lowering Neal’s feelings towards David to freezing point.

Now Neal’s Achilles’ heel, his lifelong love — Melody, had been taken by David’s men.

Neal’s rage was self-evident.

Without waiting for David’s response, Neal coldly and decisively said, "I never had a father; even my nominal father departed with my mother the moment she died!"

David roared, "You are cursing me to death!"

As he spoke, he grabbed a new teacup from a whole set on a low table beside him and threw it at Neal Galan.

Neal dodged easily, avoiding the teacup coming directly at him.

With a crash, the teacup fell to the wooden floor, shattering.

Neal, with a cold face, approached David, eyes dark and piercing as he demanded, "I suggest you hand her over to me immediately!"

"Hmph!" David locked eyes with Neal coolly, "What, are you going to attack your own father?"

"Ha, attack you?" Neal looked at David coldly, "You’re not even worthy! I’m afraid of dirtying my own hands! I would only destroy the things you value, like sending Rebecca Yates back to the Nash Residence, how about that?"

"You dare!" David erupted in fury.

He gazed at Neal, demanding in a cold voice, "Is such a worthless woman that important? Consider your status!"

Neal’s dark eyes narrowed sinisterly, "I’m very clear about what kind of person she is! Moreover, is there anyone more worthless than you in this world?"

David was so enraged, he almost spat blood.

He looked at Neal, enumerating Melody Parker’s unworthiness, "She has poor conduct, was pregnant out of wedlock, and is the mother of two children. Such a woman isn’t worthy of you! I absolutely won’t allow such a woman into the Galan Estate!"

"Ha ha..." Neal laughed sarcastically, "I never intended for her to enter the Galan Estate! I’m afraid the filthy and unworthy Galan family would taint her! If she marries, it’s only to me, Neal Galan, without any relation to the Galan family!"

Neal’s eyes were bloodshot with fearsome red streaks.

He gazed at David, speaking each word firmly, "Moreover, I will only ever love her in this lifetime, waiting until she’s ready to agree willingly! Unlike you, who desires to indulge in countless pleasures! You murder, steal wives, and drive your wives to death..."

Smack! A resounding slap landed hard on Neal Galan’s face.

David, trembling with rage, stood opposite Neal, glaring at him with bloodshot eyes, "Alston, are you looking for death?"

"Ha ha!" Neal sneered, his unruly eyes looking at David coldly, "Looking for death? Haven’t I died long ago? I died on the day my mother was forced to death by you people!"

David drew a gun, the dark muzzle pointing at Neal’s head, "Fine, since you want to die, I’ll grant you your wish!"

As he spoke, he loaded a bullet into the chamber, his eyes cold and murderous, looking at Neal, "I’ll give you one last chance: leave that woman forever, or die!"

"Ha!" Neal fearlessly met David’s gaze, "Shoot, I dare you?"

Speaking, Neal threatened, "I advise you to release her, or I don’t know what I might do!"

"You!..." David was trembling with anger, his hand holding the gun shaking uncontrollably...

Everything happening in the living room was quietly observed by Oliver Nash, who stood behind a screen.

Ever since Neal entered Y Country, he knew.

When Neal stormed back into the old manor full of murderous intent, barging into the living room, Oliver was not far behind him.

He watched quietly as Neal worried and got angry for another person — a woman not worthy of him, as he and their father opposed each other.

He knew that Alston had never forgiven their biological father all these years.

Yet even if he hadn’t forgiven, he still respected David as their biological father.

But today, for a woman, he was capable of defying their father...

Oliver’s heart ached to the extreme.

It was as if someone had stabbed a knife into his heart, twisting and tormenting it mercilessly.

Yet even as his heart ached to the point of suffocation, he couldn’t bear to see Neal and David fight to the bitter end.

Alston could afford not to care, to risk everything for that woman, but he cared!

He cared so much about him, how could he allow even the slightest possibility of him being hurt?

David was a stubbornly selfish person.

He could abandon his mother for his own desires and kill his biological father to get her, driving his aunt to death — what wouldn’t David do.
