Monster Harem In The Tower
Chapter 247: The Violet Breach
CHAPTER 247: THE VIOLET BREACH
Nathan returned to his room. He had only been inside the Tower for a brief moment, but outside, an entire hour had already passed.
"Nathan..." Validia was there, standing with both her hands behind her back, as if bound.
Nathan, his tone hurried, replied to her greeting. "Validia... did you feel something strange?" he asked, his voice trembling.
"Yes, the energy outside has become a little murky, as if—"
"Damn..." Nathan suddenly hissed. His eyes widened, his heart pounding like war drums.
Validia froze.
Nathan’s words made the hair on her neck stand on end. He turned to her sharply.
"No time to explain! Come with me now!" he shouted.
Without waiting for an answer, Nathan opened the door and dashed out of the room.
In the living room, his parents, who had been sitting casually, instantly stood up.
"Nathan?" His mother called out, shocked to see her eldest son running as if chased by a demon.
His father narrowed his eyes. "What is it? Why are you—"
"Later! If something strange happens... call me! Don’t ask now!" Nathan shouted without stopping.
Lily, just out of the kitchen and clutching her bunny doll, stared at her brother as if she had seen a ghost. "Brother... what’s wrong with you...?"
Nathan only glanced at her briefly, then gently patted her head.
"Everything will be fine. You all must stay inside the house."
He then opened the front door and rushed out, the night air hitting his sweat-dampened face.
Back in Nathan’s room, Validia still lingered. She had been holding onto that old photo album the whole time. On the cover, a small handwritten note read: Nathan – 3 Years Old, First Bath in the Tub.
Validia’s face flushed red. He was so cute when he was little.
She quickly slid the album back onto the shelf, closed the door softly, and hurried after Nathan, though her mind was still haunted by flickering images.
Ahh... so embarrassing... she muttered to herself as she slipped past Nathan’s family to chase after him outside.
The violet lights... appeared one by one in the distant sky.
BRUUUUUM!
A small explosion like a wind firecracker, yet flaring wildly with a thick purple hue that tore across the night horizon.
Nathan stood in the middle of the street in front of his house. His eyes widened.
"...A portal?" he muttered under his breath.
His eyelids reflected the flickering violet bursts—shining, then fading—only to be replaced by others. One, two, three... more than five glowing points now clearly visible in the distance.
He clenched his fists. His breath caught.
"Damn... I can’t split myself."
Light footsteps echoed behind him.
"Why... why are so many foreign energies appearing?" Validia whispered, half trembling. The magical aura around her began to glow faintly.
"Ssh..." Nathan raised his hand gently, signaling her to be quiet.
He quickly pulled out his phone and tapped a single name from his speed dial.
📞 DAVID (🔥)
—
Across the city, David was chatting with Fiona, a small smile tugging at his lips as he saw the word typing under her name.
"Huh?" He leaned forward. "What’s that? Light... explosions?"
The violet flares lit the distant sky like distorted fireworks.
Brrrrt—brrrrrt.
His phone vibrated.
David looked at the screen. "Nathan?"
Click.
"Yo, Na—"
"NO TIME FOR CHAT. Get ready. Head toward the violet light. If you can, bring your strongest friend. NOW!"
Tut... tut... tut...
The call ended.
David blinked. "Huh? Huh??" He leapt to his feet, tossed his phone on the table, and sprinted toward her hunter OOTD.
"I didn’t even get to answer, good grief..."
—
Meanwhile, Nathan had already stepped onto a neighbor’s fence, then a utility pole, then a rooftop. His movements were swift, precise—like a ninja hunted by time. Validia followed behind, calmer, with wind aura coursing through her steps.
BOOOM!!
A violet explosion erupted not far away—close enough to shake the roof tiles and send birds scattering wildly into the night.
Nathan stopped. His eyes locked downward.
From the distortion rift...
Something emerged.
Four legs. Fangs. Backward-bent horns. Silver-gray fur, and on its forehead—gleaming—a violet crystal pulsing like a heart.
"A wolf... no. This... isn’t from here."
The creature growled low. A moment later, two more emerged from the same portal. All identical, a hunting pack.
Nathan stood atop the roof. The night wind blew his hair back.
He clenched his fists.
"This? Looks like a monster crafted by Lilith..." he whispered.
Validia landed beside him, her face tense.
"Nathan... where did they come from?"
Nathan only stared sharply ahead.
"From Learth, Earth’s enemy in the coming Dimensional War."
The crystals on the wolves’ foreheads pulsed. The air around them began to quake.
David had just finished strapping on his wrist guard—a light metal gauntlet etched with faint lightning runes—when his phone buzzed again.
📞 FIONA (💬💅🏻)
"Hm? Fiona?"
Click.
"What’s wro—"
"DAVID!!"
Her voice was frantic, her breaths uneven. "In front of my apartment... there’s... there’s a violet light! Like a crack in the air... and... and now there’s... a snake?!"
David froze in place. "Snake? Do you mean an ordinary animal or—"
CRAAASH!!
The sound of shattering glass rang loud from the phone, followed by Fiona’s scream.
"KYAAA!! It’s inside!! IT’S INSIIII—!!!"
📴 The call was cut.
David stiffened for a single second.
Then—
"...Shit!"
Without a second thought, he spun around—and dashed.
His shoulder slammed into his window, shattering it as his body burst through.
⚡ZRAAAAKKK!⚡
His body became wrapped in blue sparks. Every step he took in midair was like lightning striking, each one leaving behind a crackling shockwave. He wasn’t wearing shoes. He didn’t care.
Shoes were a luxury. Fiona was the priority.
"Hold on... I’m coming, Fiona!!"
David shot through the night toward Fiona’s apartment, his heart pounding wildly. Nathan’s voice still echoed in his mind—Nathan, whose strength was far above average, someone who could take down the WhiteSnake boss with ease—yet had sounded shaken on the phone. That only made David’s fear for Fiona greater.
This must be a disaster. Damn it, damn it... Fiona...
He couldn’t shake the thought that her smile might vanish from his life forever.
It didn’t take long. As one of the city’s renowned Hunters, David reached the location swiftly.
The violet portal still glimmered ominously, and one of the apartment windows there was shattered.
Without hesitation, he leapt forward, landing right before the broken window and—
