Monsters Are Coming
Chapter 520 - 174: Player Diversion, Lord Emerges
CHAPTER 520: CHAPTER 174: PLAYER DIVERSION, LORD EMERGES
The average Main Life Soul Combat Level of players from several guilds combined is 49.6.
However, the strength of the Level 129 monster is not something that can be suppressed by a numerical advantage.
He estimates that even if the warband brothers strike, they might find it hard to break its defense.
"Boss, should we give it a try?"
The curious voice of a guild brother comes through the voice channel.
"How can we try? Do you really think we have the strength to take down a Level 129 monster?" the Divine King replied with irritation.
"But if we give up, the path of sideways expansion gets blocked, since this Sixth Generation Source is right in the middle of the road, we have to take it down if we want to expand east."
Upon hearing the guild brother’s reply, the Divine King falls into deep thought.
Taking down a BOSS of this level involves numerous considerations.
The most critical factor among them is the healing speed of the Primordial Monster.
Some monsters possess extremely high regenerative abilities, absorbing free energy from the air with each breath, causing their health bar to rise. Even if you barely break their defense, the effective damage inflicted remains minimal.
However, you could leverage the numerical advantage and combine it with the Blood Burning Life Soul to directly burn through the monster’s health bar dealing true damage.
But true damage isn’t percentage-based damage, thus the resulting damage is limited and may not outweigh the monster’s healing speed.
Moreover, Blood Burning is essentially a trait enhancement buff; using it for damage is just one way players have devised.
The Sixth Generation Source at Level 129 is already terrifyingly strong; applying the amplification effect of Blood Burning traits makes it unplayable.
After all, the Lord isn’t like those useless figures within Jile Palace, utterly consumed with pleasure, unable to even resist when faced with player assaults.
Providing amplification effects to a Level 129 monster makes it even more fearsome, and our casualties would surely skyrocket.
Therefore, using Blood Burning to deal true damage is clearly not feasible.
As for Life Connection and Blood Rebound Life Soul, the prerequisite for these Life Souls is not to be killed in a single blow.
Encountering a "Lord," such monsters with high Hunting Level can easily one-shot players, make these Life Soul trait effects irrelevant.
Perhaps the only viable method is to use special effect Life Souls such as Fierce Poison, Forbidden Blade, and Soul Separation to stack damage.
Among them, the most practical might be "Withering," one of the newest Life Souls of the Magic System, which, at the current stage, is the only special effect Life Soul capable of infinitely stacking damage.
But the precondition is to withstand the Lord’s terrifying output.
The complete suppression in Hunting Level causes the Divine King to ponder deeply, contemplating how to devise an effective BOSS battle tactic.
Amidst his surging thoughts, he suddenly thinks of a possibility and then calls up the guild chat group: Player Peak.
Divine King: (Screenshot of Sixth Generation Source) Anyone interested in taking this Source down?
Vosni Butterfly: Divine King, you’re crazy. How can we possibly deal with this thing?
Divine Wings: Damn, just seeing a Sixth Generation Source made me excited at first, but upon clicking and seeing its Hunting Level, it felt like I was hit by a brick. I want to kill it, but my strength doesn’t allow it.
May the Prince bless you: Seeing the Hunting Level, my mind automatically conjured up the tactic of using Blood Burning to deal true damage, then suddenly realizing that applying Blood Burning on this thing would backfire, causing a defeat that’s even worse.
There’s actually an expert: Divine King, are you depressed lately, trying to vent your anger on the Sixth Generation Source from being bullied by Earth Thought Bully? The problem is, the brothers aren’t capable of helping you out. I feel like you’re making things difficult for me. We genuinely can’t deal with a Level 129.
The salted fish that can’t turn its fortunes: I’m in, provided we can win. I sense God King should have an idea, quickly share it.
Divine King: First let me ask, how many custom Shuyan Warriors do you have?
Vosni Butterfly: Our guild has three, but these three are the treasures of our guild. If they die, I could cry for three days. It’s hard to catch them, I’m not in, can’t afford to risk them.
May the Prince bless you: God King, our guild only has two custom Shuyan and we never want to take them to the battlefield. Now they’re lying in the Emperor Tomb Space for recuperation, I’m not in.
Luanshi Fourteen Laws: I have only one right now, with two in the Imperial Tomb Village space. If you truly wish to fight, I’ll go with you once, as brothers understand your recent stress and fully support you.
Kitty D Joy: Let’s count how many we have; if we have a numerical advantage, let’s give it a try. Keeping them in space is just collecting dust. Let’s not treat custom Shuyan Warriors as treasures; this is when they should be used. If they die, we can ask for more Shuyan. We are all Outer Heaven Demons; capturing a couple of Shuyan Warriors should be fine, matches the story setting (ridiculous.jpg).
Divine King: Actually, I don’t desire to fight; mainly, this Sixth Generation Source blocks our expansion path; to proceed further, we must clear this Sixth Generation Source; otherwise, we get stuck on this road.
Luanshi Fourteen Laws: If it’s blocking the expansion pathway, shouldn’t Earth Thought Bully take action?
Divine King: Not necessarily, it’s intercepting our line, Earth Thought Bully above our position is unaffected.
...
After communication, the leaders of various guilds begin to count the number of Shuyan Warriors.
Finally, the data is compiled and handed to Divine King.
Adding his Shuyan Warriors, there are 32 owned by various big guilds, with an average Combat Level of 91.
Whether this aggregate combat power is sufficient to take down the Sixth Generation Source "Lord" seems precarious.
Though the level gap appears to be just 38 levels, this 38-level difference transcends a mere Life Level.
It’s akin to how the Black Wind Tribe Clan Leader at 50-plus levels ravaged a group of players around 20-plus levels at Colorful Mist Coast; the gap in Life Level leads to a qualitative change in strength.
